Guide to "Word Processing" in this Forum?
The webpage I've listed below shows BB code for formating messages:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/misc.php?do=bbcode
Also you can add more options to your interface to create messages with.
- From the top of the screen select USER CP
- From the menu on the left under Settings and Options select Edit Options
- Scroll to the very bottom of the page until you get to Miscellaneous Options
- In the Message Editor Interface box select Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing from the drop down list.
It is better to ask forgiveness than permission.
He seems to have changed his sig, but I'm pretty sure it was Westley that had built a nifty little WYSIWYG editor that created its output in forum code.

This, indeed, will enable the advanced editor.

IIRC, that was for the old crappy forum software, and not the new crappy forum software...

Biggest Troll on the forums? I'll give you a hint:

And there's two versions of the advanced editor, too. There's the advanced editor which shows you all the code, and there's the evil advanced editor which is WYSIWYG (or perhaps more accurately, WYSIWYHTG - What You See Is What You Hope To Get). Both versions include buttons much like Microsoft Word which you can use for formatting your post (the non-WYSIWYG advanced editor just inserts the code when you press the button)
IIRC, he updated it for the new forums. But the advanced editor would probably be simpler, and not require a 3rd party program.

This. USE the WYSIWYG. Turn it on and LOVE it. I sure do. As a result of the new editor...

It's also a small executable that you don't even have to install, as long as you have the latest version of Microsoft's .NET framework, which most people with Windows has.
Hi Guys,

is there a "simple" guide to word processing a forum post to include such stuff as Bold, coloured text, underlining, italics et cetera?
Oh and inserting a Linkie as well
Thanks
