  1. My thoughts on why they wont be giving us more enhancements slots is because when people delete toons or kill them it takes about 3 or 4 respecs to get everything good off of the toon and once you run out then its either pay inf to buy more or its to the online store and pay $17-ish US (?) for more, seems pretty obvious to me. Its a business decision.

More slots would be nice but it isnt goin to happen, IMO.

15 minutes, you say Ace? Hmm, sounds like a challenge to me.
4 DM/SD scraps and 4 Cold Corrs/Fenders, should do the trick.

Tell me, why would they be required to raise the base speed of NPCs/Critters? Werewolves dont seem to have trouble running away at near SS speeds...Neither does Diabolique for that matter or Black Scorpion...And all fliers seem fine to me as well (Illusionists, all Cabal, Anti-Matter, Mother Mayhem, Ice Mistral, Ghost Widow, Scirocco...I could go on...)

The current world record for the 100m dash is 9.58 seconds. This translates to 23.4 mph. Instantaneous speeds off the line can hit up to 28mph for a short distance. The average human run speed is 13-20 mph.

Apparently it was pretty famous (or infamous), as was this professor who intentionally p***ed people off to see how they would react, if you havnt heard of it lets just say there was some death threats involved.

But after readin that article i can understand where you're comin from Talon.
  11. It seems people are gettin hung up on something...

This is about Veteran costumes...NOT POWERS...

The powers are a nice way for the Devs to say thank you and i totally agree that they should stay the way they are, which im sure ive said...many times...

Energyman, you are obviously blinded by your love of this game(Dont get me wrong i love this game as well but im being realistic) for you to not be able to see that eventually it will go c*** up and die, it for sure wont happen this year or next year and mayb not even the year after but it is inevitable that the game will shut down.

Exactly, sure the costumes are a way for Vet players to stand out but powers, IMO, make you stand out more-so.

The first time i saw Sands of MU used was ona a lvl 2 fender and i thought to myself, how the hell did they get flurry at lvl 2?! So i went to P-Wiki to read up on it and thought that thats cool but Vet powers are for QOL purposes, whereas costumes are not and thats what we're talkin about here. I can wait for a Nemesis Staff or the Assemble the team power because it isnt really needed at the low lvls or at any lvl for that matter but to wait 3+ years for something that has nothin to do with QOL gameplay is wrong. If anything it discourages people from playin longer because they realise that eventually the game will go offline and that they're never gonna have those shiney boxing gloves or the nice Samurai armour.

Again, i can wait for the powers (if the game will continue for that long) but to wait for fluffy things that will not break the game is wrong.

If they were to overhaul the Vet rewards and take out all the costumes then they would have to replace them with some other shiney so its Win/Win.
I cant understand why people are against this...

At some point, in the future, CoX will go offline. The game WILL end at some point or another. When is that? I don't know.

Let's say it ends when it is approaching the 10 year mark. Those who started at the very beginning of the game, at launch, will get the 120 month vet badge. But, if you didn't know about the game or couldn't afford it at that point, you will never get all the vet rewards.

I started just a few months ago. I am just now getting my 3 month badge, so no matter what I will always be over 5 years behind others on badges. No matter when the game ends, I will never have access to everything. The same goes for those who started 3 months after launch, 6 months, 1 year, etc.
    ^ This.
The newer players are never goin to have acess to everything, the game WILL shutdown eventually whether it be by Genocidal Robots, a bitter ex-employee or another Y2K (LoL)

But this thread is about costumes, not powers. I can fully understand that ill never have early acess to the vet powers but costumes are just fluff for the most part.

  16. I love PvP'n, idk what pre-i13 PvP was like so im not goin to comment on that but i do have a opinion on Inspire use and I wouldnt say that im an expert, far from it infact but i frequent RV now and again on my Invul/EM tank that would benefit heavily from inspire use and i still dont use 'em.

My thoughts are that you will never hit the Damage cap using any power without some outside help (team buffs) and for a toon to pop 8 big reds, 3 big purples is wrong, IMO. Why build up a toon and IO it out if you're goin to use inspires? Answer, because its easier to kill your opponent. I understand people want to dominate other players but where is the fun if there is no danger? I want to be challenged not just blaster hop around tryin to get a hit through soft-capped defense, i hate the long drawn out fights. Im not afraid to die but if i die from a 800 point AS, a 600 point ET and a 500 point TF, with the whole time me spamming my lowsy 300 point ET and 200 point TF that just dosnt get through the defense, thats when i get p***ed.

Long drawn out fights identifies you as weakened
Tell me, how would i end a fight quickly against a soft-capped Stalk?
Because, aside from Elude, Retsu and Accolades there is no way to get to the soft-cap without inspires.
This isnt an attack mate, im all for PvP. I just want to understand why you would build up different toons and spend millions on IO's and hours on badging when you could just use purples and reds and then just mash buttons. Wheres the skill in that?

Powers like, Elude, Retsu, Hibernate, Phase etc, im all for because its a power and for you to work it into your build shows some skill. Wheres the skill in hitttin F1, F1, F1, F1, F1, F1, F1, F3, F3, F3...

Oh, i saw nothing on Heavies or gettin Droned. Where do you stand on the use of these pokemons?

And again, not an attack on you personally mate, i just want to at least try to understand why people think Inspires are good to use.

  19. My DM/SD scrap only ever uses it when an AV has a high amount of Mez attacks, other wise i dont nomally use it. The End cost isa big factor also.

Ive never used it for pylons because they actually have to get through your def to knock you back, which is a rare occurence.

The amount of DPS lost is minimal, idk the exact numbers 'cos tryin to calculate that would give me head ache but its not like they're goin to regen all of their health back while you get back up.
Out of the AV's ive solo'd, from memory i only used it on Positron and Black Swan. Posi because of his Def Debuff and Black Swan because of that PBAoE stun. Both AV's were tough...extremely tough but i got 'em down, after about 4 million deaths though.

The main reason i dont use it is becuase of the end cost, not the DPS loss, s'the same for SD.

It was 2am when i made up those builds so my brain wasnt functioning at full capacity. Though, it is rare when it does.

I re-did 'em and came up witha way to fit in CJ with all 3 passives and some more end red.
I wanted some vertical control for the inside of mish's, goin to and from mish's i could care less.

They both accumulate to 13.84% defence debuff resistance. I woudn't pass that up.
13% DDR is virtually nothing when theres 72% still there...
Also Grant Cover from SD adds 13% DDR and alot of people dont take that power.

This isnt an attack, im just tryin to figure out why yous think they're so important.
  22. Why though?

IIRC the max amount of resist you get from em all is 30%, which is nothin to turn your nose up at of course but i dont plan on spending that much time with with the majority of my health bar gone...And the second i pop a green the resists might as well not exist.

It dosnt seem worth it IMO but im lookin for others opinions to help me decide.
  23. This will be my first SR scrap so im just curious if ill be shooting myself in the foot by not taking Dodge and Lucky.

My thoughts are that its a defense based secondary and while having damage resist is nice it isnt really needed, especially since SR's resist is tied to your HP's.

I want to keep the blaze mastery and i would prefer to have the leaping pool just for the sake of convenience, ive had a toon thats only had SS as a movement power before and it sucked.
s'Why im thinking of ditching Dodge and Lucky.

This is the build that has Dodge and Lucky.
