other powers you could have
Time compression - you compress the timestream causing a huge increase in both you and your allies attack power as to the enemy it seems they are bing hit more often by your attacks
Ravages of time - you accelrate the flow of time aroud one enemy causing them to slowly lose health over time and casts gradually stronger and stronger defense and attack down debuffs on the enemy
Out of time - takes a enemy completely out of the flow of time meaning they cant act but neither can anything act upon them
Its your funeral- Taking one enemy you drag them through time to their own grave side for them to witness their death (in game simple a vanish then a reappear like teleport but taking the enemy too) this causes fear effect in the target.
Crushing scale - you send out a blast at a single target it shows the target the whole of the time and how insignificant they are in it, this causes mental hold on the enemy aswell as decreased attack, defense and causing the nemey to simple give up and either flee or take fully lethal damage, disadvantage is that it also drains your defense and attack.
Try again - a healing power that ressurects an ally giving them a chance to try that part of the fight again replenishing all HP and endurance cancelling EXP debt, the disadvantage the debt is transfered to you as you remeber the loss also you are drained to 1 HP and 1 endurance as you have to take the place of the damned friend
continuity error - you bend the space time continium so much you accidentally for a loops wth your own timeline and meet yourself, the other you acts as a pet but with no control as such over it.
Boring Friday afternoon - slows an enemies movement down causing them to move slower and take longer to have attacks charge
Out of time - causes a random item to fall through a rift in space time and onto an enemy, unfortunately the object that comes through cant always be seen beforehand so any object could come through, some items could be gold, jewels and treasure or last sculptures, a trident, the holy grail cup, roman spears and even a WWII fighter plane.
Time trap - the future you goes back in time and sets a trap in anticipation of the battle and as such a random trap happens, traps include large spikes coming up, bear traps cuasing damage and hold, exploding powder traps that cause blind effect, explosions that causes damage and knockback. Disadvantage you are imobilised for 10 seconds 30 seconds after the attack has hit or event if it hasnt hit this is so you could have gone back and set the trap to begin with -
i love the ideas, maybe have the window be one of those digital window things so you could choose a digital landscape thing,you could also have the ability to put you screenshot pictures up as landscape things to make it appear like the base is in a real in game location.

i know this is going to sound like a wierd thing but Id love to see a way to switch a character from a villian to a hero or vice versa because in alot of the City of Heroes fiction,character bios and such it often mentions about villians becoming heroes or heroes tempted to turn to the darkside, plus as the powersets are roughly the same it would be an amazing thing to do just for the pure RP element of it and thinking about it other than the coding for it as the powersets and most other things are the same or similar it would work well

i know the load times arent exactly long but Id love to see a sort of in transit room for teams using green line or other vehicles to get to missions and areas, just so the teams can talk while it loads and to make the load times less obvious, kind of just a basic room thing say with a few seats or something, but it could work well to get teams being more social

ive recently transfer one of my characters from Defiant to union server and previously, (and infact on all others on all servers) I can move the camera up and down by right clicking and dragging, the problem is this no longer works for the character Ive transfered.
anyone know what the problem is, is it a temporary problem with transfering or is there something else wrong here ? -
I like this idea, and as for the whole finding which base is yours there could simple be a little extra saying Coalition or your base in brackets at the side so you can tell for yourself easily

That may be what you were aiming for, but no other set gives you truly awesome, godlike power, and then absolutely assure you'll die when it wears off. It's too powerful and too short, and too dangerous.
Also, this god-mode power is more suitable for a secondary set. Essentially, someone could have this AND a tier 9 defensive secondary.

i get what your saying but as youve said its powerful but short, I agree what your saying about it being a bit between attack and defense thats a good point as it would be a bit of a problem in that aspect, the thing being it would work as its very like a short adrenaline rush style power rather than a prolonged ability, and yes it would leave you basically dead but its 30 seconds and unlike invulnerability it doesnt drain your health only imobilises you for 30 seonds and drains your stamina so you cant fight back, ture youd be dead fairly quick but no quicker than the unstoppable power which means your you cant fight back and your almost dead anyway.

And then you went and put toxic attacks in, and bites, which is saying your monster has poison and fangs. Trying to be too generic usually ends in it not fitting anything, rather than it fitting everything.
[/ QUOTE ] the problem being if you look at it theres 2 or 3 aliens 1 were wolf and a reptile all have teeth the only one out of the more monsterous costume options that debateable wouldnt work with bite would be the gorilla so although not perfect it could fit. The thing to remeber is this is a concept not a set thing as such so it is open to change with good ideas.
To address some of the other comments
i see the problem with the bite idea it would require the mouths to be animated which I know for the developers would be a pain but if they do have moving mouths in the future this powerset would do well i think, this links nicely to the suggestion of more claw based attacks as I was trying to lead away from a soley claw or mostly claw based set as theres already a claw powerset.
As for the beasts eye I imagined it as a power you could simple use it like most powers not a toggle power but just one that activates uses once and has to recharge.
the animations
charge, yes I think the shield charge thing would work
the pounce thing I think combining say a modified jump kick thing and before that a crouch down would work, yes it would have a slightly longer windup but it could be moved to a different place in the set.
If anyone else has any ideas of powers you think would fit then please say. -
Id like to see an option to thing on the mission quit box where you can tick a box to say the mission was bugged and a comment box attached to that so you can add more info, then that way you can quit and not tick the box so, it will be just like you quit because you wanted too. im guessing it would be alot to set up but it might be alot more helpful to the developers than being contacted later as they can pinpoint the mission right away, its a good idea i think, but to be useable it would take alot of work on the part of the developers

well the way i was trying to do it was to be similar to other powersets that offer a high risk power that basically is all or nothing for a short time then you are done for, say your about to die anyway it would mean you could act like a cornered animal and fight as hard as possible before the enevitable death, the main thing I was trying to do was create a powerset that was general enough for any monster character so you could have almost any other monster type as it would be bad to do a specific monster as the alien is alot different to a werewolf or a giant ape but the way Ive tried to lay out the powers would allow any monster to use them and have it fit in fairly well -
Ive been playing a bit on both city of heroes and city of Villains and i noticed that despite how amazingly varied you can make a hero theres one section that really isnt catered for and thats the monster costume options, these are an amaing touch for costumes but in the game they are hardly different from any other hero or villains as they seem very humanoid and not truly like the beasts the are, so im suggesting a feral powerset to make them more brutal
powers:
power hit
bite (moderate damage with crushing damage)
pounce (knockback ability)
feed (bites an enemy causing damage and healing your character)
Toxic bite (causes mild damage instantly then continues to damage the enemy for 30 seconds causing 1-2 damage each second)
brutish rage (a violent attack that causes moderate damage rapidly, similar to the rapid puch with the speed power set)
beasts eye (causes enemies close to a target and the target to have fear status)
Chilling call (character lets out a loud beat howl knocking surrounding enemies back)
Charge ( the player runs at the target causing kncokback)
savage attack ( a high damage with extra criticial damage chance that
primal rage (completely cuts recharge time on all powers for 45 seconds and deflects all enemy attacks, after 45 seconds the player has 0 stamina lowered defence and is imobilized for 30 seconds) -

Character Description: Samuel Carlson was a research scientist working to develop weaponry for the goverment. during his time with the goverment he turned down many lucrative private research grants from many sources. After the completion of the his latest bio weapon, he recieved a email stating the following "this is your last chance to reconsider, no-one turns us Down no-one" this message was from a temporary email address and was virtually untraceable, two days later the he came home to see his home in a bio containment sphere apparently his wife and child had been brought down by an unknown pathogen that had been delivered earlier in a standard parcel. Top members of medical staff were brought in to find a cure, the virus was completely new but being shown the make up and structure of the virus Samuel recognised it immediately it was one of his eariler project that had been abandoned due to moral grounds. It had fallen into the wrong hands and the weapon had been made for real, a super virulent virus that could infect anyone in in an area for a 2 hour period then leave the area completely safe, and most importantly not it could not pass from one person to another so could be specially targeted to small groups. Samuel knew that as the virus never reached to stage of production the cure too was never finsihed, he rushed to the military archives to find the file for his work, upon finding the file, he saw to his horror that the files on the virus and indeed the cure had gone, he was forced to watch in horror as his Wife and child died before him powerless to help them.
This was the turning point he vowed that no-one would again suffer or lose their family due to his work, he found that many of his old and abandoned projects had vanished too, after finding out there was a traitor in the millitary he picked up the trail finally finding that many of his weapons plans had found their way to the Voltar company who he remebered turning down a substantial grant from previously.
Samuel left military employment on personal grounds and began work in his own lab, he vowed he would make one last weapon. After months of work it was complete, the power suit, one item that would allow him to become the ultimate weapon. Using his power suit he became Quantum Singularity his one mission to destroy all the weapons he developed and to take them out of the wrong hands. This mission has lead to many confrontations with Maximillion Voltar and more recntly after trying to stop a weapons test there was an accident that released an interdimensional being into Paragon city, this being known only as The void of darkness has lead to a number of confrontations as samuel tries to banish this entity back to its own dimension -
Ive been playing in blood bay recently as a hero, ive managed to collect all the pieces of meteorite and Ive been trying to take over a fire base, the big problem is no sooner do I get close then things begin respawning sometimes insanely quick, I took out all the antipersonel turrets and turned round ounly to get shot, I turn back and all 4 have respawned, Ive also taken out the artillary turrets turned round and found it had respawned behind me.
so my question is am I being a complete idiot and doing something wrong or have I found a bug ?
