Am i simple being dumb or is there a problem

Ive been playing in blood bay recently as a hero, ive managed to collect all the pieces of meteorite and Ive been trying to take over a fire base, the big problem is no sooner do I get close then things begin respawning sometimes insanely quick, I took out all the antipersonel turrets and turned round ounly to get shot, I turn back and all 4 have respawned, Ive also taken out the artillary turrets turned round and found it had respawned behind me.

so my question is am I being a complete idiot and doing something wrong or have I found a bug ?

Every five minutes, every turret respawns.

I believe the trick is to damage every turret to near-death, then destroy one, wait for it to respawn then destroy all the others.

The Turrets etc do respawn very quickly (think they're on a zone-wide 5 minute respawn and if you catch them at the tailend of that time it can get annoying). But it isn't impossible to do solo. If you haven't read it this page has a pretty good description of a couple of quick ways to solo the firebases.
