I always knew Blasters were the best!
  2. Yep, I rarely pay attention to minmaxing, and my favorite characters are the ones who aren't. With luck, Presence might get a boost someday. But... which taunt is less bad for me?

    Knockback Build

Just putting out there that my Gravity/Energy dom is super fun to play.
  4. Basically the entire Gravity set. I have this glorious vision of a full team composed of nothing but high-level Gravity doms/trollers. I'm imagining the chaos, and it is glorious.
  5. On some of my characters, I deliberately DON'T use Ninja Run because it doesn't fit their concepts.
  6. Hmm, well, given that he's a cat, SR is kind of the standby... Dark Armor is not something I would have picked, but with a little more concept writing to bring him further into superhero-land it might work. On the other hand, I already have a claws/DA brute...
  7. Okay, so. The other day I realized that The Great Rumpuscat from T. S. Eliot's poem "The Awefull Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles" is quite clearly a superhero. I rushed to get the name, managed to grab it on Triumph, and made him a claws/SR scrapper. Now, the problem: For concept reasons, he kind of needs the Presence pool (because it's just not The Great Rumpuscat if he can't have his enemies quaking in their boots). So, if I take this pool as the Scrapper he is, would that just be completely awful no matter how I do it, or is one of the two first-tier powers less bad a choice than the other? Or should I just hold my horses and reroll him as a Brute once GR comes out?
  8. I, madam, I made radio! So I dared! Am I mad? AM I?
  9. Wednesday nights, huh? Good to know! I always have trouble finding a time to play when people are actually on...
  10. Oops. Posted in the wrong thread again. Sorry!
  11. Yes yes yes oh gods please give us this, devs.

It's not so much "proving" as giving evidence for "you might be surprised at what's still out there."

I got "Macavity" and "Great Rumpuscat" on Triumph just last Sunday - and if the names of a couple reasonably-famous literary characters have sat untouched for so long, who knows what else hasn't been taken either? Sometimes you get lucky, though I do agree it's frustrating when you don't.

While we're at it, if there's a Pet Customization option, that'll probably entail us being able to choose from various "styles" of pets (like for instance, choose between the Thugs we already have, Pirates, Cowboys/bounty hunters, and Bodyguards) - so why not combine this feature with the unlockable-NPC-costume-parts idea and have NPC pet styles? Once you get whichever defeat badge, you would unlock a style of pet with an appearance that corresponds to the defeat badge you just got - so still following the theme of the Thugs mastermind, you could make your pets look like Hellions, or Trolls, Family, or maybe even cops. They'd behave the same way mechanically, of course, but they would LOOK like the NPC groups, which I'm sure would make a lot of people very happy. Pretty much every MM powerset has something you could put here - Mech Men and Nemesis bots for the Robotics types, Banished Pantheon Chamners/Husks and (obviously) Vazhilok cadavers, abominations, and eidolons for the Necromancers, Nemesis/Council/Fifth Column/Whatever for the Soldiers, Tsoo for the Ninjas - this could work, I think.

Because with my dispersion bubble up, it's impossible to tell.

    • hiding auto powers (this usually cuts down the amount of icons to only applied buffs or self-ativated powers)
    • and/or change the stacking of the icons to be nmbered instead of default (this will just add a little number saying how many of the buff is applied to keep things like FS down and also help shrink this down alttle bit)
    I already do this.

  18. Okay, earlier today I was on my bubbler, got onto a full team, and had a blast. The team was about half scrappers and tankers, and there was one other defender, who had ice shields. We were a steamroller - took out a shadow cyst with only one death (mine) right at the very end. It was great. However, I'm fairly certain that for everyone but the other defender and me, it was a lot more great.

Why? Because the bloody list of all the buff icons everyone had was stretching halfway across my widescreen monitor! On other characters I just retract it back into the team window, but with a targeted-buff powerset as my primary that is not an option - I need it there, so I can see when my bubbles need to be recast. And when my bubbles are buried under a hundred other buffs, it's pretty hard to tell when that is, especially when there's nearly-identical Ice Shield icons as well (Ice Guy also lamented this). This is not pleasant when I'm trying to keep my teammates bubbled, sap enemies' endurance and otherwise attack them, and keep myself alive all at once... I very frequently find myself having to juggle my attention between about six different things in the heat of battle, and having to search through a Where's-Waldo of buffs just to be sure I'm doing my job right does not help. And I know how to fix this:

Can we please have an option to only show OUR buffs in the teammate buffs rollout? If I could just completely hide everything except the icons for the buffs that come from my own powers, it'd be a huge QOL change for me. It's not like I need that to show what other people have put on me - that appears in the top corner underneath my menu anyway. And honestly, do I really need to see whether Ice Guy's shields are still up on Tank? If they go down, there's nothing I can do about that, since my bubbles should be on him anyway.

    Thoughts?

This is a perfect description of my boyfriend's Brute.

    Two new emotes

Oh yes please. Yes yes yes yes. Even if the double facepalm isn't plausible (and it may not be), the single one, especially if it works on MM pets, would be so awesome. And if indeed the proposed double facepalm doesn't work, we could still have a double facepalm emote that just puts both hands on the face, which I think gives a pretty boosted sense of despair from the single-hand-on-face.
  21. I understand keeping NPCs unique, but... a few girls who don't fight, don't have any development, and only appear in one mission? Really?
  22. I lol'd, good sir. Despite Morrowind being the FAR superior game...
  23. Dude, how would those boots clip? They're like the same as the thigh-highs, only pointed, right?
  24. Can we pleeeeeease have the costume parts that the Fashion Victims from Twilight's Son's TF wear? Minus the flowy loincloth skirt, of course, since there's obviously no hope of getting that. The belt and boots in particular are pretty darn sweet, and I maintain that there are not enough tall boot options (just the thigh-highs and the witch boots so far, and the thigh-highs don't even have alternate textures).
  25. Well, in my case it's that I have a thing for both steampunk and time travel...
