lvl 4 - Siphon Power
[/ QUOTE ]
you can always respec this out after you get fulcrum shift, as long as you dont intend to drop below lvl 38 too often, that way if you really wanted to you can keep fighting.
although i agree im not sure you are going to notice the difference from tough etc that you want.....
oh and siphon speed is a big yes -
well thats that settled then
thanks for the informative replies majik -

its a cool way to change your costume
[/ QUOTE ]
this is the kind of thing i like!
yes the powder does seem the better choice from what i have read (havent actually seen either in action).
also as an aside im guessing the flash bomb in terms of IO sets allowed will be similar to placate? (ie nothing)
so therefore is there a sniff of a whiff of a chance that blinding powder will allow for confuse sets?
maybe another tick in its respective box.... -
coming up to level 35 on my nin/nin pve stalker.
really enjoying it thus far and looking at my build i have a "spare" power at 35.
wanted to try something either the flash/bomb type thing or of course blinding powder.ive had a scout for information and all i can find is a topic almost a year old on the subject and was wondering if anyone has had any more experiences since? has it changed? am i really consigned to picking hasten and suffering the redraw animation on another toon?
im really interested if the aoe placate is handy i understand it wont be like the power placate but as a solo stalker it sounds tasty.
and then again the confuse aspect of blinding powder seems interesting how does it respond to Lts and the big guys?
thanks for any feedback chaps and chappettes -
hi mate
like you i wanted a rough idea of whats best (or at least confirmation that i might be barking up the right tree) after a bit of digging this helped me no end!
ok its issue 4 based but some good ideas of what i wanted my PA to do and how best perhaps to go about it.
certainly worth a readhope it helps

terrifying news!
ever since i sent that first tell in kings row "fancy some company?" you've been a constant source of fun.
very bad news to hear you go but i take heart that you will be back(i didnt think id return but heck CoX really does win)
take care out there bud you'll be missed -
very sorry to all those who were on the sister psyche tf last night i was playing Dr Chillblaine and whamo! pc overheated (or something im not a tech head
)
just logged in on a spare laptop to apologise for my early unannounced exit! sure you did fine without me although amazingly i didnt eat all the awakens for a change
now i just need to find that grovel emote.... -
totally totally agree have AR/eng at lvl 35 myself and in a team he truely is awesome.
boost range as you say makes the cones bigger better and badder, i've played fire, ice and energy and no doubt in my opinion AR dishes out the most damage in a team Build up and cone things to death in every mob.

Various comments of "I thought AR sucked?"

Ditto, lock and load people, lock and load.... -
coming up to respec my stone/mace tank soon and its been months since i've played him so can anyone enlighten me as to what slots should be placed ( and indeed what enhances) into granite armour? i cant quite remember how many slots cap defence and resistance or in fact if either of them cap at all!
any light shedding on this will be greatly appreciated by a rather dusty tank..... -
i guesstimate that 1 min or less is correct!
cracking tf really enjoyed it
hope to bump into y'all again soon! -
i'd love to throw my name in the hat if there is room left!
pub schedule permitting i'll be on as Bodkin lvl 23 Trick arrow/ archer
hope to see u then, then -
thanks for the advice there guys
i was a bit worried about the old end situation and i guess its wishful thinking to think i could carry weave as well.
as to the medicine pool i'm not sure i've ever taken that so therefore i think i'll give that a go and still stick hasten in there.
thanks again -
just wondering whether there is any mileage in getting weave on my /inv brute.coming up to using my freespec in the near future and was toying around with a few builds had a look at an old fire tank one (the last time i took weave) and what with the def from invincibilty itself it got me thinking.
so im just wondering whether this might improve my survival rates. im pretty certain im taking tough which leaves me with a "free" pick at around 30, so hasten or weave spring to mind really.
so anyone got any mileage of weave and inv goodness/badness?
thanks -
yup it accepts acc enhances, i'm really worried i missed that since lvl 26!! hehe whoops!
-
[ QUOTE ]
Makes sence, since ignite accepts acc-enhancements
[/ QUOTE ]
it does?!?! ignore everything i just said in that case -
[ QUOTE ]
Technically, it's not auto-hit, it just has very high accuracy. Use it on +8's or so and you'll see less numbers.
[/ QUOTE ]
yup i know this but as it cannot accept accuracy enhancers (much like a tanks taunt which if memory serves, the taunt effect becomes significantly less if you are trying taunt +8s for example) it will work on a sane lvl of enemies without any problems. maybe i should have warned _max_ not to try it on anything over 8+..... -
[ QUOTE ]
I've only ever heard bad things about Ignite, due to the fact that mobs always tend to run out of the area of effect,
[/ QUOTE ]
like you i only ever heard bad things about it, but i took it when i noticed on test its auto-hit much like burn from the fire tank set. huge huge huge DoT, never misses, tiny end cost and almost instant recharge. and as if thats not enough! only slots you need to make this as good as can be are 2 extra damage slots.
i've found it incredibly handy when teamed with tanks conts and some types of defs (namely those with slows). also ignite is very handy at taking down any MoGed or other annoying effect down (protectors for instance) and wonderful against an AV. i really dont know why it gets a bad rep handy as a panic button when soloing if those mobs just arent leaving u alone put this down where you are standing voila! off they run
agree with max about sniper rifle and boost range (and m30 grenade) both are incredibly handy on teams and solo, well in just about any instance i can think off.
you might want to take a look at this saw this after i made my Ar/eng but sums up my experiences so far!
master of cones!!!
enjoy! its a helluva set..... -
admit it weasel you are a little disappointed u dinged
gratz are indeed well deserved! -

Sea witch? Pfft, a DOMINATOR could solo her...
[/ QUOTE ]
sure you meant this didn't you? -
[ QUOTE ]
Hasten and Conserve Energy will carry over to Dwarf and will help a lot by letting you fight longer and heal/taunt/bash stuf more quickly.
[/ QUOTE ]
Also unless i am mistaken essence boost also carries over into the forms? handy for a few extra hp -
*waves*
yeah id make a case for choking cloud as well due to ill being a pretty *soft* control set, altho with your own personal KB monkey following you around might not be that handyno idea where you would cram it in i cant find anywhere to stick it
i would suggest sticking another end red slot on EF as out of the 2 toggle debuffs i guess you'll be laying this down first in pve (i know i do) and its very endy, but that may just be my mileage.
also something to mull over maybe another acc slot on phant? as he is out most of the time and is doing most if not all of your damage.
good luck with toon razster! -
[ QUOTE ]
the sheer range and inventiveness of the powers and animations along with some pretty awesome powers Lv30+ onwards makes this my choice for sheer controlling power.
[/ QUOTE ]
just like to add another tick in the box for earth! always some kind of control ready to be thrown down and imo looks hella cool!
i went rad for backstory purposes and its works well as everything is locked down holding a group at arms length while they go all green and weak at the knees. more a team build tho than a solo.
oh and a side not quite a few controls can be placed out of line of sight (quicksand, earthquake, volc gasses) can be a handy tactic i consider myself a stalkroller! -
totally agree with the needing teams that get it thang.found this out saturday with an Ice tank grouping, me and a rad defender debuffing and PB/WS/blaster laying in with the damage was a lot of fun!
point taken with oil slick now i've got SOs in glue arrow its all i need in the slow department so i'll try a few damages in there
thanks Shan
