We've been working on similar weapons here in the US for a decade. -

Talk about a guy who has left his mark. The 911 is one of the very few cars that has managed to retain its iconic looks over its design life. Instantly recognizable and no mistaking it for any other car.

Damn obscure rules. Well fine, try and stop me!

Donate hell, I'd buy a sizable chunk of e-real estate and pay to have the entire base system overhauled with what I've designated on the frivolous spending part.
I think with the lump sum you'd get around 200 million and some change after taxes, most of that would be working for me in some fashion (investments of some sort or the other), my family could sponge off of that, my tax shelter would be a nice small resturant/bar - doesn't need to make money, just needs to give me something to do and be able to pay a bunch of people a good wage. -
My nrg/nrg blaster is a tech guy, he builds his own devices and adapts technology as he sees fit.
My human form peacebringer though is not kheldian no matter what the source material says. -
Quote:Green-skinned space babes you say? Oh... I'm totally there!Ya know...I really do want SOMETHING to happen on Dec. 21st*. If only to shock the world out of the self-destructive, malaisic path we are on. If said something happens to include green-skinned space babes with a penchant for geeks, then rock on.
Rock on indeed.
*I don't think anything is going to happen, but it would be neat if it did. -
would also love to have the BCU torso available as a costume option (would work so well with my blaster's power armor), and on another note, would also love to have the BCU thighs available with the monsterous robotic feet (same with the clockwork thighs)

Quote:Naw, the Keatonmobile would be cool sitting right next to a real life Mach 5I think you may be over thinking this by a lot. It was just a fun little video.
And the drag race itself was no big deal, just listening to that one guy (the builder) spout a bunch of random crap was annoying. If your gonna say stuff like that, at least make it plausible in some fashion like the Keatonmobile is powered by a modifed Pratt & Whitney J58 jet engine connected to a blah blitty blah blah blah. -
Quote:Thats like saying that a Cadillac isn't a GM but fair enough, a LincolnThe 1966 Batmobile was the Lincoln Futura concept car, modified of course.
Quote:Plus, since they said in the video that the last guy built both Batmobiles and since he's obviously not an octogenarian and couldn't possibly have been old enough to build the '66 car, it's pretty likely that both cars are replicas. Dunno if that means he's not spouting a lot of BS, but it does mean that the cars in the video aren't exactly the same as the originals.
To put that into pespective, the current McLaren MP4-27 F1 car weighs just over 1400 lbs with a driver and no fuel and thats a car that more or less represents state of the art construction techniques for a minimalist road going car.
You can get downright feathery with a drag car but like I said its little more than a tin can (by comparison top fuel dragsters are right around 2100 pounds with fuel and a driver) and not very road worthy.
If the 60's area Batmobile did indeed sport Corvette mechanicals with a fairly lightweight body and giving it the benefit of the doubt, I'd say no less than 3200 pounds, however I suspect it weighs much more. Same for the 80's era Batmobile and given the length of the chassis, I'd say its heavier still, especially given that they guy said it used a Camaro front sub-frame.
Sigh... If only I had a few million laying around to do the 80's Batmobile right. -
I've got a DB/WP scrapper, he proves that scrappers ooze awesome sauce! And thats coming from a guy who plays a blaster almost exclusively

Quote:We have a winnah!!!!!!!!!!!!! My BS meter damn near burned out as soon as that last dude started running his mouth. I bet both theses cars would be hard pressed to bust out of the 15s and do more than 130 (and thats being generous). The dude that made those cars comes on and talks about what they have and is apparently a liar or COMPLETELY clueless about performance. Says the cars have arround 300hp in their motors and will run 9-10 second quarter miles. Yeah...either he is a sorcerer that can make aerodynamic BRICKS that weigh 2 tons magically do 180mph and run hell HELLA good 1/4miles....or ...nobody should EVER take their car to him ... This is of course made up for by the red headed chick doing a bikini car wash at the end...
IIRC the 60's era Batmobile is based on a Ford chassis and I think the 80's era car is based on a caprice chassis. Really the most advanced car is the Tumbler, it has way more engineering in it than either of its predecessors.
To put it into perspective, this car has a 1/3 more power and weighs less than either Batmobile and is more aerodynamic yet only does mid 12s and has a top speed of 183 mph.

Off-topic, but is there anyway to make the bubble helmet base into a sort of gorget attatched to the chest allowing other hat/helmet options? Or is there some sort of limitation in the game that prevents that?

Quote:I'm sure I wouldn't have a problem with using a blaster, but thats sorta a loaded answer since... well I've been playing a blaster since I started the game. I've become very proficient at playing them.It was nothing to my scrappers or brutes, and I bet it would be easy with stalkers now. What about all the other ATs in the game?
Not saying I'm the best mind you since I dont tend to crunch numbers or min/max my toons but its a play style that I'm most comfortable playing which pretty funny since I play my scrappers like blappers -
Oh Micheal Bay there is a special place in hell for you and its right next to Ewe Boll.

Quote:How'd you like to explain that to the doctor when you've completely pissed your wife off.If this woman can hit her targets without using "perfect archery form" the author was nitpicking about
Then Hawkeye can shoot any way he likes.
"Yeah, doc, totally with her feet balacing right off the fence post with her hands, now can you just pull that damn thing out"
On another note, I am always amazed at what humans can accomplish. -
Quote:Bah, you young'ns and your fancy shmancy modern day rigs and your highly detailed 3d worlds. If possible, seek out and find the D&D classic Gold Box games. Simple little roleplaying games written in the 1980s with highly simple graphics.
I loved those old SSI games and I bought just about every one new for my top of the line Comodore 64!
Anyways, 5th Ed is one the way after Pathfinder kicked 4th Ed's ****. Will be interesting to see how things go.
I never really warmed up to 4th Ed for its treatment of the Forgotten Realms and to what I saw as a dumbing down of the customization that was available when creating characters in the 3rd edition.
I tried several times to mold my favorite 3rd ed guy into a 4th ed character and he just ended up being a ranger/thief and very unsatisfying to play. The roleplying elements were there of course (backstory, personality et al) but all the bits and pieces of game rules that really helped me to define my PC were just not there and the branding of classes as defender or striker just helped to reinforce my dislike of the 4th Ed game system.
For what its worth, I've never been a min/maxer and just like picking powersets in CoH I rarely do so for maximum gain, Instead I like to pick powers, abilites, or what have you that seem thematically correct and support the characters backstory.
I'd rather leave it up to the DM to craft a story that can support my character or fudge the dice so that my guy lives to see another day -
Cant wait! Also, it just seems to me, that its not so much aliens going through thier normal life cycle as it seems like humans are being genetically rewritten. Probably not the case but thats what I get from the trailers. Either way I hope this is a going to be a really damn good movie.

Since I dont feel like dredging up an old thread, Blasto 6 - the ten best minutes of dialog in your universe involving cyclical destruction.

Quote:Man, my non - primal facets have led some crappy lives.I'm a fan of the World As Myth belief. Basically, all stories exist somewhere in the multiverse. I'd like to think that when we "write" a story, some facet of ourselves either exists in that universe and we're channeling, for lack of a better term, something that happened there.

How many folks are going go with the PC version ---> I mention this because I'll be happy to help with the multiplayer missions.

I also hope that the rings will be available for both genders, but regardless these designs rock so hard that the house's foundation is shaking.
