  1. I can volunteer something for this. I have four level 50 villains, so let me know what you want.
  2. If you're storing your login information so the forums log you in automatically, there may be something up with the cookies or the session ID matching one of those profiles. I noticed this earlier today and sent a PM, as it is a breach in security, and didn't exactly merit a public thread.
  3. One such instance I recall is joining a team to do a respec trial. I believe it wound up being a team of 5 people and 3 of them had never done a respec trial, let alone been out of Atlas Park. The team consisted of 3 50s, a 24 and another I can't remember. The 24 and 2 of the 50s had not been outside of Atlas Park, and one didn't know the first thing about the game (they admitted they had been playing the game for a whole 2 days).

The only two experienced people on the trial were myself and a 60 month vet. As it was a Terra Volta respec, it was successful regardless. However, the argument that the only people who powerleveled or were powerleveled in AE were vets is completely untrue.
  4. I ran into this with Daedalus' arc where the second mission points to the desk in AE. I petitioned it and spoke to a GM who autocompleted it after which I followed up with a /bug
  5. There was no stealth nerf to the drop rates according to Synapse. The rumor was out there, but any sort of untold nerf of drops was denied outright. Check the Dev Digest and look at Synapse's posts.
  6. I remember seeing that but I thought that was something which required some sort of manual intervention. If a redname were to respond to this thread, it would definitely help answer my questions about the testing environment.
  7. With merits and tickets, one could get most things. However, that still excludes ultra rare and pvp. Since the drop rates on those are so low even on live, they would be nonexistent on a test environment without someone filling orders. Not being able to obtain these two categories of enhancements is what prompted me to suggest just seeding the test markets with 9999 of everything that could be obtained for, say, 1 inf so as to not require resources beyond the crafting costs.
  8. I don't know how much extra work it would be to do this, since I don't know anything about the game's code, but it seems to me that adding something to the market itself to seed every recipe and salvage piece with a perpetual 9999, or even a regenerating 9999, specifically with a hook that makes the code called only when the environment is development or test, and just have those pieces be seeded for sale on the markets for 1 inf.

As it stands, there shouldn't be any form of economy on the testing server, but all of the shiny bits should be easily available (even ultra-rares and pvp sets) for taking these into account with testing, not only using the test server like a living Mids, but with power-related testing. I'm sure there are more reasons why this is a good idea, but since I don't know the code, I don't know what sort of level of effort is required. If I knew who to poke about such a thing, I'd poke them.
  9. I use the test server to test character builds using IO sets from time to time. Some of these builds use sets or enhancements that are in short supply on the live servers. Sometimes I'm lucky to have some of the enhancements already available in my inventory, but sometimes I've yet to invest the influence into obtaining them.

Is there any way supplies for, well, everything on the market to be readily available rather than someone filling an order for a new round of testing or relying on drops/copying from live/etc.?

Tools like Mids are invaluable in planning builds, but I'd like to test drive things before committing to a respec or plunking down a ton of inf to invest in enhancements. I feel having all of the resources such as recipes and salvage effectively freely available in the testing environment would benefit in at least this aspect.
  10. With me being on my regularly irregular not-really-requiring-a-schedule schedule, I'm pretty much always around, except those rare instances in which I prop my feet up and fall asleep at my desk. With Issue 16, I've been making use of both of my accounts and dual boxing.

That being said, if there's ever anything going on where an extra person would be useful for something, just let me know. By the time I get around to checking the forums, most of the events posted are usually filled up, but I'm always available.
  11. I was soloing and had no tank at my disposal. My concern is that it was barely a minute and it despawned. Not nearly enough time to even tell someone where it is, let alone keep it from squashing my toon. I kept dropping to the deck so it would continue to move around and come towards me, but I was staying out of range of its missiles.
  12. I also have Crimson on my scrapper, so if you need someone who has the full arc, just let me know.

Coincidentally, I started plowing through the story on my fire/kin to try and get Harvey Maylor to give me his story arc (had 2 major arcs going) and may have found a bug with spawning the Kronos Class Titan. I was about to finish the mission that spawns it and let people know it was going to spawn. I finished the mission, came out, saw it charging straight at me, flew up just out of range of its missile attack and hovered there waiting for folks to show up. The Titan was up for maybe a minute, two at the very most, when it just disappeared. It was way out of range of any police drones, as it was in the middle of the southern portion of Founders' Falls. I went ahead and bugged it just to make sure.

Anyway, I'll be around that night regardless.
  13. I recently realized that my fire/kin has Crimson's World Wide Red arc ready to go. I haven't even touched a single mission in the arc. It's there if you need it.
  14. Just because everybody isn't huddled in the AE building in Atlas Park doesn't mean everybody jumped ship. The very day Issue 16 was released, the population scattered to the wind and back to their respective zones. The farmers are back in PI solo farming, the exploiters are still trying to find a way to milk whatever they can out of AE, the PuGs are running in the streets again. The only difference is that you now have the people so used to AE and teaming only in Atlas Park show up broadcasting doom like "why's it so dead?"
  15. I was on a team that all got disconnected at the very last second. The order in which the AVs came online and were defeated is totally different from the other combinations, so I don't think that is the trigger. For the sake of data, here is the order of activation and defeat:

Activation: Vanessa DeVore -> Countess Crey -> Nemesis -> Gyrfalcon
Defeat: Vanessa DeVore -> Countess Crey -> Nemesis -> Gyrfalcon -> Reichsman

We had Reichsman down to about 330hp when he popped off Corrupted Lightning Bolt, and that was when we all got disconnected.

We received no merits, no badge, simply mission completed.
  16. For a moment I thought about running out to a trainer and switching builds just to build something with recall friend and cloaking device. It took some pretty careful dying to get everyone to Security Chief Manning. I'm impressed.
  17. So I was messing around in RV with a heavy during the dead time and was taking over pillboxes. I spawned Lord Recluse and Black Scorpion when as a group all we could get was Ghost Widow, Cap'n Mako and maybe Scirocco. Too bad the zone only had one other person (a Corruptor who was also pillboxing) or there would have been two other badges for the taking.
  18. What got me laughing was when I holed up in the pillbox nearest the villain base entrance and whooped him with the pillbox and my heavy. I think that set him off the most. I really need to see if I can get some PvP juice out of that old powerset combo. RIP Issue 12 PvP! PvP is dead, long live PvP!
  19. I stuck around for a few afterwards, got a couple of PvP kills, and then the zone pretty much died. The heroes got the villains pushed back to the villain base and they stayed there.
  20. I would have been on this run, but I've had some issues keeping track of the days lately. However, it seems my absence was beneficial in that the run was successful. Historically, any MoLRSF attempt I've been on has ended in failure in some fashion or another. I've attributed it to my recurring unlucky streak that has plagued me over the years.

    Anyway, congratulations to you all.
  21. I'll definitely be there on my Warshade. I'll be rocking the tri-form tonight.
  22. We finished at the right time, too. CoH decided it wanted to go catatonic right when I went silent.
  23. I'll volunteer my AR/Dev Blaster for a Manticore.

  25. There was a holiday? When was this? I was not aware of any such things.
