  1. Avi, admit it, your costume designs, above all, are HEROIC. They are really great and I never had the guts to ask to copy them.

Seriously, they rock. Take it as a compliment.

P.S. someone stole my costume once

I'm pretty deceived by the soloability, though, even after the pets, there aren't enough mobs to be self-buffed...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I agree. People said it before me and i'll repeat them: You cannot expect to solo as fast as a scrapper when facing 3 enemies at once. However, facing 6-8 (and more) minions and LTs, and even Bosses, is really easy. The more enemies there are around you, the easier you can kill them all.

Wont WS need stamina at all? I know that end hasnt been a problem at all, but will it be at higher lvls?

    [/ QUOTE ]

I didn't - except for *those* cases (end draining mobs, disappearing bodies such as ghosts, wisps...) You can pretty much waste everything in nova form, pop over to human, find a good location to run the Stygian Circle and you are back up with full HP and Endurance. This is, of course, if you can find enough dead bodies closely packed. During the end-game, if you are going to respec Nova form, you don't get the endurance recovery bonus you usually get from the Nova itself, and so stamina could be fitted in - later in the game - because Stygian Circle does recharges 30 seconds and we all know how much endurance you can waste in 15 seconds.

Any other questions will be answered in no time, so don't be afraid to ask.
  3. Have fun with that, i heard it is really fun to play.
Personally, I tried earth/rad and it works like a charm if all you want is controlling your enemies.. soloing is out of question: you can hold an enemy to death, but the "to death" part can take one minute... But he really shines in a team.
  4. I wouldn't recommend respecing nova form out. It has most of the damage, and with the right use of your human powers, it can outdamage a blaster.

In addition, read my tri-form guide for having a Warshade,
    http://uk.boards.cityofheroes.com/sh...fpart=1#290353
I have been told it can really help in building a warshade and it sure did help a lot of my friends.
  5. Know I might be popping this post from the second page atleast, but the Union orginizer is giving a "Good Job". Was thinking about doing an English Picture next time, over at Test... How about my idea?
  6. I'm truly glad you guys have pulled this off right, and wish you all the best during your heroic carear.
  7. Hey, now i can catch up again ... ^^

We all love you the same, D, and I think you are making the right decision and it is wise.

Hope we can still team enough - Blaps and Light = xp heaven

    Which is better?

I have a level 50 fire blaster. it can't control [censored] without the epic power pool.

Anyway, back to the topic, i see the WS controlish, not by the 'controlish' actions you can do to others, but the 'controlish' actions you can do on yourself - Sunless Mire, Black Dwarf Mire, Eclipse, Stygian Circle... that things 'control' other enemies (-end recovery for Eclipse, -dmg, I believe, for the mires), slow effects for all of the powers. In addition, lets not talk about the really good pet you can, that only the controllers (and dark defenders, I haven't forgotten you) can get, outside the limits of temp pets.

Lets make this even more clear: Warshades can NEVER control an entire mob - best that you can do is cone-disorient them for a short while. However, the enemies will fall down to their knees begging for mercy and you [your debuffs (SLOWS) and self-buffs] and your pet (who can, also, SLOW), can do, while slowly killing him.

BTW, try going to brickstown as you hit 33, get two pets out, and start blasting a boss. You will see how slow he gets.

    Which is better?

    (look at the sig.)

Anyway, they are both, IMO, epicly strong, but there is a really big difference:
PBs: are easier. much easier. the damage is really great and would outdamage scrappers at times.
WSs: are harder but stronger - if you can have enough mobs. the more enemies there are around you, and the better understanding you have about each and every one of your powers in your PERSONAL build, the stronger you are. Soloing missions, where there are sometimes 3 enemies per mob, is really boring. however, hunting in the late 30s in brickstown, where crey mobs can be found with 12 enemies together, is GREAT XP (one bar in 30 mins max), really easy and very fun.

Personally, the WS is better since it can get damage cap, accuracy cap and damage resistance cap in 5 clicks, even less, and it is really strong. However, if you started with a hard-core AT (tankers or scrappers), the PB will be best for you, as there aren't really controllish powers in the set.
  10. I was told to get my katana/regen who is 8 atm, so welcome me aboard
  11. Void's punches are full with nictus

Anyway, once you hit 18, take the Extreme Melee attack, IS, and it will solve your void problems for good. it has a Hold that will be enough for LTs, which will drop their toggles and allowing you to kill them with ease.

Gratz Devi, you more than deserve your own 50!

    Best PvP Build?

    a. I've killed my share of stormies in the past
    b. "A sword won't win the fight, the worrior will."
  14. Nah, I do sleep
Anyway, both the G.B.A and the Overlords will see me, and frozen, I already have a blaster in the alts

Thanks for everyone who has teamed with me during my warshadish Peacebringing times
  15. thx for everyone who helped: the debt was harsh and longed due, but in the end, 51s riktis + Malaise doesn't fail to provide one last bar
As for the next project(s) - a katana/regens scrapper (3 50s and no mez protection. Going nuts), an Earth/Storm troller (for mob controlling + PvP) OR an Earth/Radiation (for the debuffs). Haven't desided yet.
  16. gratz dude, though i thought you wanted to double ding with me
  17. my WS is a full scale tri-form, yet my PB just respec'd out of his dwarf and he is now just human.
  18. too soon for me, will be at school that time... one day early, however, would make it great for me as i can probably ding my PB during the TF.

    WS V PB

Hell, i'd fight you, chimmy, with both my 50 WS and my 48 PB. Tell me when and where, and I'll meet you there.
  22. See? he is learning from yours truly - Warshades are the best
    gratz mate
  23. Hell, been a long time. Count me in J.
Maybe we can run a level 45+ picture on the way?
  24. We are on gameamp's front page, and i'm waiting for a reply from Bridger about us being on the City of Heroes main site

  25. Hello controller friends

Once I ding the final ding with my PB, I'm looking to start a troller, an earth/storm or an earth/radiation one. But I can't find the debuff numebrs for 'Radiation Infection' and 'Enerving Field'. Also, if 'Lingering Radiation' got some extra figures, I would like them as well.

One last question: how will my planned build work together in controlling the mob (PvE and PvP)?
