Nothing whatsoever. However, in most communities (at least in the ones I moderated) frivolous reporting has its own penalty. In the end, people will usually hit the report button for one of a two reasons:

* They feel offended by something. (Whether this offense is intended or warranted isn't a factor.)

* They think that someone else WOULD be offended (and they choose to be a busy-body)

If a moderator reads a report and sees that something COULD be misunderstood and thinks you should be more careful he's probably going to warn you to be more careful and then move on down his list. If he sees that someone is reporting something frivolous and has just wasted his time, he should warn the person who made the report instead. Sometimes he might actually do both.

I don't think it is that NCSoft is saying it is okay to be offended by gays. I think they are seeing that someone thought that your statement was somehow meant TO BE offensive. Someone reported what you said to them because that person thought YOU were belittling either God or gays.

It is an on-going struggle in online communities. People being offended by statements that have nothing to do with them. People being offended 'on behalf' of a group they don't actually belong to. Watchdogs who blow their whistle at the first sign of perceived intolerance (or ironically... Bohemia).

I would not worry about it.

Back in the spring I had someone give one of my toons 100K inf just for explaining how to bind a costume change. It doubled what I had on that toon. You didn't hear me complaining. It's all a matter of perspective.

My lovely emp healer Delicious Jailbait was on Miuramir's team and was also popped out into the great beyond when the zone timed out. She fell for a bit but activated hover and then flew over to heal Miur (I think) who had low health when Dj appeared.

Enjoyed the event. Noted that presents appear in fixed locations and managed to get a set route between two that had them appearing fairly consistently at each end of the trip. Ended up with 48 candy canes between downing 2 LW and getting a few presents.

Wasn't sure how to leave the WL Zone other than to go to another WL Zone which is why I was still in it when the zone timed.

Haven't tried the BNY stuff yet.

This. Yes. I've thought more than once that my character should be using that run when he or she was high-tailing it out of there with a pulsing red health bar.

I'd second this. I played GW for a good long time. Loved it enough to have 2 accounts and one character of every class. COH was meant to be a 'break' from GW but its been a year here and I am still working my way along and loving it.

Mine was about 28mb. Not sure how many patches I've missed either.

A separate note to anyone who feels there is something wrong with BaBs giving us the Walk animation... Give your head a shake! It's funny. I used to Mod a forum for a game and every time the devs uploaded a new piece of clothing for the player avatars someone would complain that it was time taken away from fixing gameplay bugs. No matter how often we tried to explain that the coders working on gameplay didn't have anything to do with the graphic designers creating and uploading their work some players just couldn't/wouldn't get it.

BaBs, THANK YOU for the walk power. Whether I use it once or a thousand times, I am glad to see it added. You know, I used to make one of my toons follow the Longbow patrols as they walk around and it always bugged me that he walked too fast to look good following them. Problem solved!

No. I can't agree with that. I play in a band, I write songs for that band. My songs are not messages that are "always very important." Does it mean that songwriting is not art or just when I write a song where the words and the melody don't convey some deeper comment on the human condition? There is a difference between 'art' and 'good art.'

My poetry is a different beast. Every poem comes with some personal emotional payload. Does that difference negate my songwriting?

Do you seriously think that what BaBs does is 'science?' Do you see no beauty in the movement of the toons and npcs? Isn't BaBs trying to create something wonderous? Isn't that ART?! Doesn't the very idea of a game which essentially revolves around a theme of good vs. evil speak to the some degree about the human condition?

Have you never looked at the game and felt a surge of emotion? Felt sadness or happiness change in you based on something within it? (and I'm not talking about being angry at a client crash or some other flaw.) Have you never been moved by it? I have. It counts as art to me for that reason alone.
