/TA if you want something a little different that still has great potential. The combination of oil slick, acid arrow, the other -res and ROF is just incredible.
Overall, the combo takes a lot more effort to make 'uber' though. -
I too worry about the power level of the new incarnates. I have been running trials and enjoying my new powers, but as I am incapable of sitting in pocket d during the length of my playtime I have also been venturing out to do missions and taskforces. I worry that with the new trials and the rewards they bring everything else will be trivialized. I hope some of the new incarnate powers are ONLY effective in trials or provide QOL improvements or something rather than the dramatic jumps in power the first five slots provided.
I also hope that all of the new trials aren't fighting praetorians. There are other interesting villain groups out there. -
Thanks for taking the time to post this experiment!
-
I have never played traps, the concept bores me. I just got my first incarnate slot for my fire/ta and although the combination provides some cool tricks, I am disappointed in it overall. The debuffs and controls are so spread out that I literally spend half of every fight setting things up (under fire) and half blasting. It feels like I'm playing catch up as soon as I take aggro.
The combo only feels awesome when OSA is up and despite hasten and a spiritual alpha boost, that is not every group. I still play the toon (I'm about to right now) but It never really blossomed into what I thought it would.
EMP arrow is also pretty amazing but suffers from very slow recharge as well. -
I just started my first dom (mind/elec) and I cannot say enough about how awesome this guide has been. THANKS!
-
what he's not telling us is that he used it on the sleeping Freedom Phalanx during a MoRSF
-
I tried it and didn't like it on my ss/shield brute. The added survivability didn't seem sufficient for the times I needed added survivability.
-
nothing wrong with inviting people to your SG. This guy was being a jerk. "/r no thanks" takes less than a second to type.
That said you should have stopped responding and added him to ignore once it was apparent he was going to be rude. -
They easily could have named it Issue 17:QOL
The earlier cell phones, last enemy/object finder, closer missions, color-coded recipes and BM improvements are WONDERFUL! I am really enjoying running missions again! Well, i'm gonna get back to it, have to work tomorrow. -
hey this is awesome and just found a place on my desktop - thanks!
-
The only time you'll really see a difference with the higher damage cap is through buffs; if you have a kin the brute will outshine the scrapper, otherwise they are pretty similar. Brute probably has a slight edge with better survivability and maybe slightly better damage overall. maintaining full fury is easy on a brute past level 30 or so.
The trip to 50 is probably more fun on a scrapper, since you can actually find IOs on the market before level 50 and you will have an easier time finding teams if you're into that.
I would recommend SS/Shield if you are really looking to max out AOE goodness on a brute though. -
I agree wholeheartedly with all of these suggestions. I just made a new hero after playing mostly villains for a few months and was like 'im gonna do arcs and get merits!'. Good god heroside is annoying for this stuff. I can't even begin to get into the story because every other time I hoof it across IP or god-knows-where to talk to my contact, she sends me to meet another contact! or go check out siren's call or have you been to boomtown? AARRGGH! Come to find out, this contact doesn't even HAVE an arc!
I guess it's back to Striga/croatoa/TFs, I would really like to go through some of the COH stories though, I still don't know a lot of the original canon and reading it on paragonwiki isn't the same.
One ridiculously easy fix would be to give you the cell phone after one mission, or better yet immediately when meeting a new contact. That would make the endless fedex-ing and meet new contact garbage 50% less painful immediately. -
I went throught the exact experience and thought process you did with this power. I ended up assigning it to one of the extra buttons on my mouse so that I can still mash away at the other powers while being careful to click sniper rifle just once.
-
hmm, you're probably right about the transfusion and siphon speed. I was sorta hoping the accuracy bonus from sets would cover me but that might be cutting it close. I had to do all sorts of weird stuff to hit the softcap. I dont find the M30 grenade very useful on my AR blaster at 50, the KB tends to make a mess of things and interfere with the other AOEs. It's sort of just in there for fun and happened to add the last 1% or so I needed. I feel like ranged defense is way better than s/l for a non-melee toon. most melee attacks have a s/l component but many ranged attacks don't seem to, plus I get like 50% s/l resistance or something like that this way...
thanks for the feedback guys! -
This is my first corruptor and I'm looking to hit the ranged softcap without compromising the mayhem I think this combo should be capable of. This would be about the only toon I've ever had without hasten - is there enough recharge without it? any recommendations? The low levels (currently at 19) are pretty painful so I'd like to know there's something to look forward to. Thanks in advance!
I'd really like to keep hover in as hover +siphon speed is endless enjoyment for me and it allows me to stay at range.

+0 x 7 sometimes with, sometimes without bosses on my 50 kin/ice.

Thanks for the replies! Guess I will just have to click hasten every couple minutes.
-
is there a way to have multiple powers set to auto-fire? I'm specifically thinking about hasten and practiced brawler. I'd like to "set 'em and forget 'em"
Thanks in advance -
Thanks for checking in - I was able to find it.
woohoo 5% extra HP! -

As the title says, I'm looking to get in on one of these for the badge. My global is @izzy.
Also, is there a good channel for villain teams/tfs on this server? -
