multiple auto powers?

is there a way to have multiple powers set to auto-fire? I'm specifically thinking about hasten and practiced brawler. I'd like to "set 'em and forget 'em"

Thanks in advance

Just to expand on Lemur's comment, this was done to prevent "botting," where somebody could just set powers on auto, and then walk away from the computer, gaining free XP for not even being at the computer.

Thanks for the replies! Guess I will just have to click hasten every couple minutes.

For me, when I come up in these situations, I tend to bind one of the powers to the side button (button4) of my mouse, allowing me to click the power without needing to find the right button, or usually change anything I was doing.

While Lemur and Aett have answered fully already, I propose for sheer silliness:

Set faster power on auto. Bind slower recharge power to an out-of-the-way key and use a Drinking Bird (see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drinking_bird) to constantly push said key. Could get annoying as keyboard must not move ever, but would it work? Hmmm, I must ponder.

Btw, I believe the use of this will not keep you for auto-logging.

Cheers!

I do the same thing and it work nice Hasten always fires when I need it to

Side note:
Some people create a pseudo-auto power by binding the power to a movement key as well.

For example:
/bind W "+forward$$powexecname Build Up"

That way, you can still have Hasten on Auto, while Build Up will still go off by itself as well every time it's recharged when you move forward. That's a second power you wont have to really worry about.

For this specific case, that bind can be useful when the team is buffing up before a big mob. As soon as you move forward to approach the mob, your Build Up (or Moment of Glory) will activate by itself, saving you a little bit of effort.

I've seen some people use Hasten on the forward key while their other favorite power like an AOE heal uses the real auto.

(And no, I don't condone the use of an auto-heal, nor do I think auto-buildup is really necessary... and don't actually use this bind trick, but have seen others mention it, so figured I should include it in the discussion in case somebody else thought it would be worthwhile for them to try.)

If you got really creative, you could even create bind files that load and reload every time you press forward so it sets off a different power each time you move forward. Then you can have an unlimited number of powers attached to it.

I.. -sorta- managed this. It requires hardware, though.

What I did was set a key to fire off a macro. I assigned the macro to a command that fired of a powexec_name and loaded a bind that changed the macro. No big surprises there.

Then I used a Nostromo n52 to automatically press the key every second. I used to actually have my hand sitting on this thing, but since I got a Logitech G13 I haven't used it much - I like the joystick on the G13 more for movement.

MUCH more complicated than CTRL+Click, but it allows me to have Rage and Hasten both fire off appropriately on my SS/Fire and Domination and Hasten to play nice together on my Mind/Psi permadom.

Alternatively, you could play a set that doesn't require @#$%@# $% @#$% clicky mez protection. I'd go with the latter if it were me.

That's the exact idea I was talking about with the bind files... but you don't actually need hardware to do it. Any other regular macro software can do it too... but then you run into dangerous territory about whether or not you are breaking the rules by using a "third party program" to control the game.
