There are 2 statues in Perez (Avatar and one I can't recall) and also Peregrine in PI.

Honestly, that is odd. I've never had problems on Virtue. I've probably turned down more invites on Virtue than I've had offers on Champion or Justice combined.

A copy of Superman vol.2, #75...

Finally! Otherland in game form. Those books weretailor made for mmo gaming. Thanks for the heads up.

I think that it made better business sense not to sell. Big business, especially entertainment based, is a gamble. If they sold it and it got popular, it would take away from their other games. They are losing no more money sitting on it than they are in shut down. Sold it has potential to take more money away than it was bought for. The only way it would be good for them is if it brought good will back.

I ended up making at least one of each origins, but i made mostly mutants and nats. Guess I 'm an x-men kinda guy as well. Makes sense. My faves were aways Wolverine, Batman, Moon Knight and Green Lantern...

What I 'm confused about is,since you are obviously not happy with the game, why continue to spend time here hating it? I get being over it and all, but I would think you would have moved on by now. You are hyper critical of Titan and the efforts to save the game. I almost understand that, but it sounds like a personal vendetta in the posts you have made.
BTW, I am actually glad you LOL'd there. I was startimg to worry about you popping a vein.. -
For "one or two people"? There are more people who will do that that left the forums and aren't aware of Titan. People are mad at the company for shutting things down and few are exremists. Don't lump them all together or you may miss out on a new COX...

I made a toon that was a riff on Aluna Francis of the band AlunaGeorge. Her name was Double Sixxes after their song Double Sixes. If you like glitchy pop you'll love 'em. I predict them and Ellie as the next wave of brit pop in the US. Much better than some of our drivel. (1 direction is not included of course)

Ok. Here's how I see it; people hate the company for shutting down the game. That is inevitable and expected. You can't blame them. You can, but that would mean you have no empathy for them. Also, I 'm pretty sure GG was being sarcastic there. The people in charge at Titan are also the people who volunteered for it. They chose to spend their time and energy on a longshot in case there was no chance of a COH. If you don't like that, then why even waste your time debating it. Just ignore it and go on to what you planned for your time after December 1st. They care you, don't. No biggie.

I have to say this thread proves the love of the rednames. Well played T_R & B_P. Well played.

N/t to play devil's advocate or anything, but I believe it is common practice in asia to let people go long holiday weekends so that they don't lose face somehow and have extra time to transition. Of course here in he US I have personally been laid off a week before Christmas with no warning. Corporations will do things however they can under the law. And only a fool believes they are not in it for the money.

Oh, no. Please don't take things for granted. I'm certainly not.

Quote:sometimes it isnt about saving anything. it's about doing what was going on prior to the announcement, buisness as usual, enjoying the last days, talking to the people who they was talking to prior to the announcement, some trying figure out what happened, some are the way they were prior to the announcement.
Ranting on a forum about NCsoft, about Save the World and We are heroes is saving crap in actuality. So before you ask about why people waste their time on one side, look at the other side and question why are they wasting their time here instead of actually saving something instead of just talking about it?
For both sides, I think the reason of because they want to will suffice and needs no explanation to you, or anyone else. Why are you not out trying to save the game instead of wastign time posting here? Isnt there a news article to write about NCSoft, or a banner to be made, or Advertisment about Plan Z that needs to be done? Or Facebook postings that need to be written to get the word out. Yet, here you are, with the rest of us, including the ones you point out as wasting time.
I am certainly not one of the people bashing NcSoft in every possible venue, and I highly doubt you'll see me ranting on here. I am also not on the forums posting in every thread that raises the topic of saving the game and essentially telling everyone that they are stupid to hope for anything or try to take a stand in any manner.
My stance is that if the campaign can make NcSoft think of selling the IP, then campaign away. I am also involved (in very small part) in Plan Z. Do I think it is a sure thing? No. Do I think it is crazy? Sure. I also think it is the last thing we can do to salvage a great game that we all love to play. It's also pretty fun to brainstorm and create for a new thing.
I am not singling anyone out. I was just commenting that out of every thread about any kind of saving the game, there is a few that are bashing the crap out of people.
The same few.
It smells of troll. -
Quote:Nicely put, EK.You've actually gotten some good advice here and I believe JKedan and AC are correct.
You said yourself that 1) you don't think these issues will go away over time. Let me tell you, very few (if any) 16 year olds think that their problems will go away over time. It's part of what makes us what we are during those years.
And, you said that you don't think your problems are normal problems for a 16 year old (paraphrasing here; don't sue me!)... Again, no 16 year old thinks that their problems are normal... and, again, the others are right in that there is no normal (lookit me!).
None of this is to say that you should simply dismiss these issues... that's how issues never go away.
Sounds like you have some pretty lousy experiences with some important people in your life (honestly, it's a very lucky person that doesn't have some person/people that'll leave them with deep psychological scars in their years of development, sadly).
The key is to rise above it... not by developing super powers and destroying the world, but by finding the true ideals that would make you happy and focusing on that and slowly, diligently blazing the trail towards being that person.
It does not have to be big... being a nice person that manages the corner store is a wonderful thing to be if that makes you happy. You just have to find your happiness (beyond our happiness in other people's created pastimes).
I am biased, but I'll suggest searching for creative avenues to see if there's anything that really appeals to you.
Even if such things do not become your main focus, they can absolutely help you to clear your head and start building your head the way you believe will be more satisfactory and healthy.
Whether it is writing, drawing, painting, carving, music, wicker-basket-ing... explore, pursue, try-out.
Maybe try writing out ideas for a video game. You never know. And you are truly at such a great age... you have so much time to build your skills and experiences.
Do not get caught up in believing that the bad times are permanent. That is how we make that grim premonition true.
You are what you make out of yourself. Don't believe that you are limited to anything that you don't want to be limited to. Figure out how to not be what you don't want to be... and enjoy it.
And just so you know,GR, I have spoken with Lord Omi in-game a few times and have always found him very nice ... for an earth shattering demon. -
When did F2P start? Wasn't it the 4th quarter of 2011? If so there is a half mil jump in revenue on the chart that was kindly posted earlier.

I find it funny that a people feel the need to waste their time on a dead game's forums to decry fans of the dead game's attempts to salvage something of said dead game. Maybe the very act of their posting means they are using reverse psychology and want to save the game by keeping the discussion about the game alive.
I'm sure they have deep philosophical reasons to waste their time on the forums of games that are a waste of time to try to save. -
I was under the impression that Cryptic sold the engine to NcSoft awhile back.

Quote:The point of Plan Z is to try, I think. The people involved are very serious about it and most know it's a longshot, but IF there are investors interested in COH and IF people like Mercedes Lackey have interest...Plan Z will not work. You won't get even a tithe of the membership necessary to have a successful MMO. Might work as a solo game, sure, but that pretty much destroys the point of CoH.
IF is better than flat out no chance of anything relating to COH in the future.
