i have a 46 bane with a crapload of accolades that are closed to being done (i pve'd it with a bunch of badgers in justice before moving it to freedom in i12);
[i am so embarrassed.]
anyways. replace pulverize with shatter armor cause my mid's is borked.
i was bored (again), so i came up with this. the only big trade off is the fact that it doesn't have assault nor placate.
1720 hp, a bit of DoT potential, and the ability to see stalkers after popping a yellow or getting a cm/em is potentially interesting; especially with going rogue around the corner and kb's in freedom becoming so popular (not like i'm gonna be anything but teh fat kid if i actually finish this toon).

the io drop rate for npcs is higher in pvp zones.
people are rarely attracted by this. -

con has seen how raged i got when playing an earth/ea.
animation times are soooooo long for both powersets. you need to a quick animating primary to leverage /ea's craptacular animation times.
also, not being able to debuff your target because earth -kb's it = miss. miss. miss. unless you build for acc (smashing defense is pretty high all around RV, this is not the case with fire or psi, where the main powersets that protect against those work through resistance). -
if i were just starting this game, my toon choices would be:
1. fire/em blaster: beast AoE so you can level fast, since you don't have a pl-ing toon; with very high pvp potential after you hit 50.
2. mind/nrg or mind/fire dom: i've been messing around on my mind/fire and i've come to realize how insanely powerful the combination is, post dom-buffs.
3. unusual... you like control, so i say consider an ill/cold troller (target disruption + healer griefing) or a fire/cold corr (emp griefing + dmg)... both are relatively rare, but very useful if you're interested in running disruption in a kb. i seriously back the fire/cold here, as it's one of those toons you can really grow on; you'll simply disrupting, but as your ability to lock a target while benump recharges increases, you'll start getting in on spikes and being a pretty good asset to your team.
do not roll a regen scrapper. it will give you downs syndrome if you don't hang out with the right crowd. running around on a regen scrapper is like having a big sign on top of your head stating "i am potentially retarded, would you like to be my retarded tru warrir friend?". -
remember how you felt when they nerfed your ice/cold in i13?
CO is like if you leveled your toon all the way to 35 with all PVE, and then the devs nerf your ice blast, but then about two days later after you used your respec, the devs decided to nerf your /cold secondary even more.
OK so you reroll.
You rerolled a toon into a fire/fire, got it to 35 and 2 weeks after, the same cycle repeated itself.
Three times in a row.

It's unfortunate if you think that I'm the baddo. I leveled these guys, had some fun matches, won/lost and was cool about it all and no QQ quit outs. It's just unfortunate because it would have been cool to have all 5 of us make a team and PvP more but one bad attitude can wreck it.
ok another fact list:
1. baddo is a measure of skill, not attitude, stop misusing the term, noub.
2. if someone's attitude is actually affecting how much fun you have in this game, maybe you should reconsider pvping in this game at all. this is a game, if you're actually getting emotional over anything that happens here, you should consider seeking professional help. say this outloud and see how it sounds: "i am angry because some dude i don't know typed something mean about how i play a video game (i play city of heroes, a small mmorpg, like World of Warcraft but about a tenth the size) and it showed up on my screen."
anyways check out those pvp games where inter-faction talk is not allowed, maybe you'll find your fit there. -

this is especially true with the stockpiles of liquid cash that most pvp-ers amassed through the days of free 50s. at the beginning of i13, i had 5 fully purpled toons from playing since i6 (mind/fire, fire/elec dom, fire/sonic corr, and a fire/psi dom), that number has since doubled with minimal effort, my playtime having become about a quarter of what it used to be (because of the pvp the ladder having been killed, and a new habit: having read 43 books since may, etc, etc).
as your liquid cash increases, so does your rate of infamy production assuming you distribute that cash adequately among various toons... so past a certain point (as low as about 200 mill), you star generating cash faster by spending 15 mins setting up bids every night as compared to spending 2 hours farming every week. -

first off, you can use a fire/kin now, and tailor it to whatever you're fighting (in the next few weeks, i'll be doing something sorta tricky with mine to make my specific farm a bit easier). and that fire/kin is gonna be only be pl-ing toons... and the reality is this: most of us (pvp people), don't have many toons left to level. we had free 50s for 2 issues and most of us didn't delete what we leveled. making money through farming is a dumb idea when you have the market.
i haven't partaken in a concerted effort to hit 50 since.. wow. i can't remember. two dxp weekends ago? right now, i'm using a fire/kin to get a dm/nin stalker to 50 and i've been at it for 3 weeks because i ADD out after one run.
the fact is, farming isn't really that much of a necessity as it was in before i13-i15. most pvp-ers have our AE babies, and pvp has been reduced to a damage spam (so the distinction in playstyle among toons have been nearly eliminated in many cases (my earth/ea dom got stripped because i could do the same thing with my ice/psi dom while also destroying regens with little effort); if you are farming for money now or even drops, you're wasting your time. -

plant primary is definitely the best pve set from 1-50.
as a secondary:
fire
elec
earth
psi
basically, since the dom buff, all secondaries with the exception of /ice are pretty good.
if you ever plan on pvping though, i would go with either a mind/elec, fire/elec, mind/nrg or fire/nrg. -

In terms of "enhance-and-go" performance, a Fire/Kin can be a bargain-basement farmer: my Fire/Kin/Fire does respectably on common SOs, but it doesn't hold a candle to my purpled Fire/Kin/Stone. As far as inf gain heroside goes I'd probably give a nod to some flavor of Scrapper, usually Spines or Elec paired with Fire or Shields, and Blaze mastery for good measure.

i would HIGHLY reccomend giving them a good damage bonus anything can beat a ice blaster...only because they can't slow and there damage is beyond bad...please consider bringing back all slows and at the same time buffing ice blast all around blaster and corruptor!

i disagree. you're asking for this because your experience in a team setting. in a pvp setting where damage is 90% of the game, blasters have an edge over every squishy class, and in that 9/10 combos, that includes damage-focused squishies such as stalkers and doms.
if you want more damage in kickballs ask for unresisted debuffing on defenders (vigiliance fix as a potential catalyst) and a reworking of scourge on corruptors as to actually have an effect on debuffs.
i agree with these. with the failure of the anti-spike code, these two things should have been removed.
Mez sucks already. I dont see the point of doing this unless you are interested in the kb aspect of break frees.

finally, as stated before, asking for a damage increase in anything at this point doesn't make much sense; the key is in buffing debuffs and allowing the DR ceiling to be loosened to the point of making buffs on squishies actually matter. -

i deleted my level 44 sonic/sonic defender after 3 issues of being useless in PVP.
i have a fully purpled, io'd, and accoladed fire/sonic corruptor in freedom which i refuse to strip out of a sense of nostalgia for my first real pvp toon. -
