Well, logged in, no messsage but I know how 53 more merits, so alls well that ends well.
-
Yeah, I had 116 merits at the start of the raid, and ended with a 116 merits.
-
I joined a Hamidon TF on Virtue on my 2nd account with my Rad/Rad corr. At the end, I recieved no reward. I was told a 45 only gets drops and xp. You have to be 46 to get merits.
So, a few days later, I've hit 46 and join the Tuesday night raid. We defeat Hamidon, I select merits again, and nothing.
There's no information on the reward screen saying you have to be above a certain level to receive merit rewards for a Hamidon raid either. So what's the story here? Is there a level limit? Or am I just getting some sort of bug?
I have petitioned this both times, but never heard anything official back. -
Johnny Sonata mission: "Stop the Wailers from Disrupting the Ritual"
When I defeated the Wailer Kings guarding each Mu Mystic, they rezzed, which is normal. What is not normal is that they stayed in the defeated postion and were sliding around the map. All 4 of them did this. -
Quote:It took me about 10 minutes of rubber banding to go the tram from Wentworth's in Atlas this morning. Then I got there and the trains weren't running. Really, no train animations.Answer: 6 1/2 minutes, the last two trying to cover the last 50 yards and get through the door.
I think I'll experiment with colors and force fields later.
And interestingly... no red spikes in my netgraph at all, but a LOT of very low green areas.
I eventually managed an Oro port out, but it took about another 5 minutes to get one to fire off. -
Quote:26 "Lost Connection to Mapserver" in FOUR MINUTES? It took me 20 minutes to get to ICON from where I stood by Positron.
Also global channels are down, tells aren't getting through, and EVERYTHING has got a 10-20 second lag time.

I'm ready to punch the server in the head. -
I'd like to know as well.
It's also giving me fits trying to reload the log in page, I have more than one account and I'd like to take a look at some of my 2ndary accounts alts. -
I took 2nd in a CC yesterday afternoon in Cap, at the Uni. Looks like they're spreading.
The steps in front seem to be a good place to gather, as there's plenty of room in the courtyard, and a lowbie can get there fairly easy if they have a jetpack. -
Depends on my villain
Biomekanic: Would pet it, eat some of the hair to determine if it had any interesting genetic properties, then ignore it. He already has quite the collection of lab animals at home anyway.
General Des'Array: Would pet it, and take it home as a pet for his children. He would most likely have to explain to his wife what a pet is, and why you don't eat it.
Headsplitter: It's smaller than his mouth, and made of meat. OTOH, it kind of looks like him. And he has a soft spot for babies ( the one between his ears ).
Godwin Odinkirk: Godwin smells like a snake, and would back away. He has nothing against animals that don't attack him.
Narakur the Defiant: Ignore it, as undead traditionally freak cats out he'd just walk away.
Tidesong: Run screaming. Cats eat fish, and she's kind of weird/******* crazy anyway.
Baator the Devourer. Kitten souls are very small, and rather unfilling. On the other hand, cats are self centered and can be jerks, two traits he admires. Also, they keep the number of mice down in the temple. Welcome to the cult! I shall name you Razorclaw Devourer of VERMIN! Go forth and FEAST! FEAST! I command you! FEAST on the vermin of this world! FEEEEEEAST!!!!!
For the record, some of my villains are downright evil, others are amoral, and some are misguided. But I don't think any of them are jerks who pick on tiny animals for ***** and giggles. -

Okay, bear with me as it's allergy season and between the meds and grasses getting it on near my brain, it's hard to think.
For an MM does this mean that only the tier 3 pet gets the Soulbound Allegiance bonuses, or not?
[/ QUOTE ]
All signs point to:
In i14: Yes, only the tier 3s benefit from them (and only when not RSKd).
In i15: No, all of them will benefit from them.

Good, and thank you. -

Arc Name: Critters and Caverns, The Inn of the Angry Drunken Loners. Module #1
Arc ID:33650
Faction: Neutral/Nerd
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Oroborous/biomechanic
Difficulty Level: This varies. I've found melee types to be able to handle it well, and some MMs have had difficulty.
Synopsis: Every adventuring party starts in the same place, a Tavern. And in every tavern, there's always a bar brawl...
This is an homage to a certain other game and the cute meet that always seems to take place. Tone is very tongue in cheek.
Estimated Time to Play: 20 minutes, at the most. Since the game decides the length by file size, and it has a custom group, it's much shorter than the "medium" listed. The map is a casino.
Link to More Details or Feedback: Feedback appreciated, either via PM here or an in game tell.
There is only one mission and it contains:
An EB (Elite Bouncer).
An Ambush.
Lots of dark corners for angy brooding loners to drink in.
Lots of angry drunken loners, who are angry.
Notes: The Elite Bouncer is supposed to spawn in the back, sometimes the game defines the back as right by the front door. This annoys me, but I'm not sure how to fix it.
I've found that pets sometimes decide to get the ball rolling right off the bat. If you have non-controllable pets, I would advise that summoning them is the last thing you do. -
It's 9:07AM here on the west coast... werefore is my magic pack?!?
-
Awesome skull mask!
Mebbe it's time to make my Faction Paradox alt that I've been kicking around for years... -
I'd love to read the announcement, but while the official forums aren't blocked at work, the CoX website is.
-
As a casual PvPer, I'll just add a /signed.
This is a great list. The instanced PvP missions would be awesome. Much more so than base raiding IMO.
To add to the instanced - a co-op/PvP zone would be cool I'd love to be able to ally with the other side in Warburg when nuke hunting. Instanced missions with co-op teams against Arachnoids and Rogue Arachnos would be fun too, heck, instanced villain missions against Rogue Arachnos too. -
Just read your guide.
You deserve a pie, and perhaps also some cookies. -

There's something odd about a person using an assault rifle and devices as having some kind of 'cosmic connection' that some how gives him/her the ability to shoot guns and toss webgrenades.....

And how do you think they carry the never ending supply of ammo and grenades?... -
In the words of GiR:
"I... I love you!"
Seriously, the only thing that would be more awesomesauce about this issue would be allowing account mergers.
And this is a "minor" issue compaired to what's coming down the pike?!? *Swoon* -
CoV lowbies vs CoH lowbies: I tried CoH first, played for a month, managed to get to a mighty level 12, and dumped it. It wasn't fun. A friend talked me into trying CoV, and it was a completely different experience. Much more enjoyable. It was about a year before I tried CoH again, and it was a lot different now that I had a clue. Plus, I had friends who were able to help me out with stuff.
Add me to the list of people who'd like a revamp on the blue side 5 to 15 content ( and give us villains a lvl 10 SF to equal out the recipes ).
As for vet rewards, time and time again I see comments made that CoX biggest selling point is costumes. I've seen more than one reference to "City of dress up dolls". Tieing costumes into the rewards is counterintiutive to me. Then again, so making a boxing costume.
The idea that the list expands, and I can pick what I what every 3 months is great. I rarely respec, I try to plan things out so I don't have to. And if I really want one, I'd rather do the trial anyway. I get a badge, xp, inf, and a respec? Sweet! Even at 50, I still get something, even if it's just inf. -
Very nice. I've teamed with some good kids in my day, certainly better teammates than some I could name...
We don't have kids, but we do have cats... and our one cat loves the animation for AM, I have to be careful and keep him off my lap when I'm playing - he's learned which key fires off AM and I swear as God is my witness, he knows when it's done recharging and he'll fire it off.
Seriously.
I have witnesses. -

And thank you to all our new writers for producing them. I seem to have created a new genre: CoX Mythology
[/ QUOTE ]Thank you for letting us add to the legend!
Thank you for creating the genre!

Thanks indeed!
Nice to know I can get some use out of my $25K piece of wall paper. -
No gift given, is truly given freely, and the ones you just have to ask for are often the most expensive of all...
Mastermind went from island to island in his home land, sometimes aiding his siblings, and sometimes working alone as was his want. He had gone to the island of the bay and acquired for himself the shards of Radia there and found that he could do more with them than his siblings.
Feeling strong, he heard a call, the call of the Spider. For the Spider had gained a toehold in the City and called upon Mastermind and his kin to take and hold that spot. But that is a story for another day.
This is the tale of how Mastermind had tasted power, and how he desired more.
Mastermind strode down the avenue where Spider dwelled, it was a grand avenue where Spider's message was given to all: if you have power, take it, and do what you wish. The message pleased Mastermind, and with head held high, he continued on to where Spider lived. He climbed high up into the web and spoke to Spider, who sat at the center.
"Father, I have gone to the shore, and taken the shards of Radia for myself," said Mastermind, "and I have heeded the song and fought for our cause, and have been amply rewarded. But I crave more."
Spider nodded, and smiled, for the desire for more was key to controlling his creations. "I will gladly give you more, you need but ask."
Mastermind smiled, power to be had, for so simple a thing as asking?
"I then ask."
"Ah," said Spider, "but you must ask in the right way and in the right place."
Mastermind's smile faded. "And what way is that, and where?".
"I have created a test, for the faithful, a special test. One where you must be strong. If you wish the power, you need but go down the path and take if for yourself."
Mastermind had often traveled, and he expected the path to have perils and conflict, but since he enjoyed both, he looked forward to the journey. "Point me upon the path Father, and I shall go."
Spider again smiled, a smile just as cold as his first one. "Go back the way you came, and you will see a side path, take that one."
Mastermind did as he was bid, and seeing the path for the first time, he took it.
There awaited him a guide who spoke, "I bid you welcome Mastermind, know this as your task in this land." The guide pointed to the interior of the island, "Deep within lies a maze, in the maze are three acolytes, each is held in durance vile. They must each be freed, one after the other. When you take them to a place of security, they shall give you unto you a portion of a Talisman. When the tripartite talisman has been rendered whole, you must again journey into the maze. In the maze are alters, there offer up the talisman and you shall have the words to a special prayer. The words of the prayer are powerful and will fade quickly from your mind, and they in turn must be taken to another alter."
Mastermind looked at the guide, "Three times I must make the journey, and must take two trips to an alter?"
"Yes," said the guide, " and your final trip will reward you with a great power. There are three powers, one that aids you, and two that will smite your enemies. You of all should understand how three become two, then two become one of great power.."
Mastermind nodded, and prepared to depart.
"Know this," said the guide, "in this place you fight only for yourself."
"Yes, yes," said Mastermind, "I am familiar with Father's dictates."
The guide shook his head as he watched Mastermind leave.
The path was fraught with peril, for Spider had placed above the maze those who were tasked with keeping the power from the unworthy. Mastermind avoided those he felt would unduly delay him, and fought those he wished to test himself against. He entered the maze, with his minions.
The path was dark, and from the darkness swarmed tiny foes, individually weak, but in great numbers. Mastermind and his minions fought them off, and penetrated deeper into the maze. There, they were met by a great monstrosity, a parody of Father's form. Mastermind and his minions soon dispatched it, and rounded the next corner in the maze. There, swarming about an acolyte, was an entire herd of the monsters. Mastermind smiled grimly, and set about dispatching them, bodies flew, and more than once he had to call back his minions and again gird them for war. But finally, in the end, triumph.
The acolyte spoke, and told him where he could be taken to safety. Mastermind led him out, but the acolyte lagged behind. To his annoyance, Mastermind had to go slowly, and again and again, he had to fight. Finally, they reached the place of safety, but it to was guarded. Once more Mastermind and his minions went into the breach and finally, the acolyte was secured. And just as he had been told would happen, the acolyte gave Mastermind one third of a talisman.
Mastermind cursed under his breath, for he knew that three more trips below awaited him. Again and again, Mastermind and his minions fought through and achieved victory against foes both great and small.
Finally, Mastermind held the complete talisman in hand, he sped back to the maze, and found the alter where the prayer for strength was held. It too was surrounded by monsters, and for the fourth time, he and his minions fought in the maze.
The words to the prayer rung in his ears, and he went to leave the maze. Before him stood his brother, Brute.
"Greetings brother!" he said joyfully, "there is power here for the taking!"
Brute smiled, and it was the same smile that graced their father's face, "Indeed, for the taking."
Mastermind's own smile fell as Brute's foot slammed into the ground and Mastermind and his minions went flying. Mastermind staggered to his feet, the guides words ringing in his ears along with the prayer he had worked so hard for, "you fight only for yourself." Brute smashed and stabbed through Mastermind's minions and with one decisive rage fueled blow, he took the words of the prayer from Mastermind and himself fled the maze.
Brute was most pleased, and went to the alter. He climbed up to it, and as he prepared to offer up the prayer, a child of Defender stepped of a cloaking shadow where she had been hiding and smote him with the gifts of lightning and kin. Brute was too weak to fight back, the shock left him unable to move or defend himself. She took the prayer, for Spider would accept the prayers of any who wished power, and offered them up. The words rose on a column of fire to the heavens, to await her call. The child of Defender again cloaked herself in the shadow and set about waiting.
Mastermind and Brute together awoke at the place of healing, and each glared at the other. Corr, and Dom, and Stalker soon joined them, and Mastermind was chagrined, for he had thought the path to power was his alone. To learn that the others had it as well, and that they could fight him for it, was not a comforting thought. It was Stalker, who had been flung about by a pet of a child of Controller, who spoke up first, "Perhaps, if we all worked together, as do the children of the City, we could take them down and take what is rightfully ours." Mastermind nodded in agreement, as did they all, but from that day on, he warily watched his siblings, as each watched him.
And in the center of his web, the Spider smiled and listened with pleasure to the prayers offered to him by his own children and the children of the City, prayers whose true power was discord and distrust.
