Up until recently, I was happy developing one character at a time.

Now, with GR, I decide to explore Redside and find Corruptors.

    Fine, I'll try a little Fire/Traps.

    Then, I find Fire/Rad.

And now you dangle Fire/Dark in front of me, touting the awesomitude?

Do you know what you're doing to my marriage?
nope, that's actually your fault for not taking Fire/Dark to begin with. :P
  2. geez, someone sure had a tall glass of crazy idea juice today. no matter what powers are available at what level, some are always going to be left with only one or two slots near 50. I'd like to see extra powers in the pools too, though.
  3. hi! welcome to the forums! your name scares me!

Now 4 days of Rikti to keep me away from the game. Awesome. :/

  5. good call going with /storm too, tornado happens to take recharge-intensive pet procs as well, so you can give them all the DEF and RES pet boosts later too.
  6. yes it certainly will. It's pretty common to do so amongst demon summoners.
  7. neat! thanks for the heads up!

I had a lvl 45 merc/poison, he wound up being deleted. Just couldn't stand the combo anymore, even with casting Noxious Gas on Medic just to make his melee-addiction useful. He's currently rerolled as /Traps and is much more fun, but I find /Poison is like MM on hard mode to begin with.

  11. Walk

I never use it, but I would if I could use the staggeing animation that a wakie gives me. Then I can stagger around spamming bile spray.

If you're new to MMs, maybe try poison another time, it's mostly single-target, just like the ninjas, so the lack of AoE debuffs show, and the heal is pretty small. Neurotoxic Breath is pretty cool, and if you get up to lvl 38, Noxious Gas is awesome on a jounin, but the only other AoE move is a sleep, which the ninjas will snap them out of quickly. It's really good at high levls, but it's a tough ride there from what I hear.

My Nin/ MM uses Trick Arrow, which is seen as kind of weak by most but the synergy is there. Resistance/defense debuffs to enhance the Ninja's brutal damage, and slows/holds/damage debuffs to help with their squishiness. My old Nin MM used Pain Domination, which is also good, but you feel like you're chasing them around with your heals all the time, imo.
  13. I like respeccing too, but I hate it when I screw it up. My own problem, I know. Anyone else hit themselves with a sock full of nickels over forgetting hasten?

I'm playing 2 MMs and 2 Brutes all without fitness right now in their 20's. Some EndRed ios and it's not too bad. The MMs are definitely easier to handle though.

  16. don't forget to slot heavily with Craptactics: chance for suck
  17. Hey that looks pretty good! I still never take taunt though, with KM/ I figure a focused burst to the face will be taunt enough, lol.

I'm debating over dropping the passives though, well, resist elements at least, that one and resist energies seem too small to help out a lot, have they changed at all or are they still the same?
  18. not yet with all the i19 buzz going on. Here's hoping though.
  19. hmm, Energy Melee/Stone Armor?

    Sooooooo......Sllloooowwwww.
  20. you'll have to do it on heroside. IF you take a praetorian to 20, it will tell you "Epic Archetype Unlocked" but it actually doesn't. It's a bug I think.

But yah, blueside ding to 20 = WS/PB
  21. Mercs don't suck. The pet bug is killing them right now making them run into melee but they're awesome in the 20's+ and when slotted correctly. They're one of the MM's that don't benefit from the double pet procs like zombies and thugs do, but I've seen many merc MM's rip it up on the map.

tip: slot an achille's heel: chance for -res in soldiers and spec ops, it helps with the lethal resistance pain.
  22. I'd say plant/fire as well you're level 7 now? one more level and you can get seeds of confusion for some real fun.

I have a plant/fire and an elec/elec, and I find plant/ to be just a bit safer, damaging, and all around more fun.
