  1. As they say, this game is mostly about the journey to 50.

It depends on what you like to do. You can decide to collect badges on your MM. Or work on buying IO sets to make him better. You can team as normal or try PVP out. Hamidon raids are something that occassionally pop up for 50's to do. Or play more to build up a personal base or bank roll your other lowbies.

Usually on most servers there is a channel or 2 that people talk on to form task forces and what not.

If you are not sure what I mean, it is like broadcast or local or help,, whatever. I add a new tab and join the popular channel, which is very helpful while leveling up to join task forces. Sorry if I'm not explaining it very well, but you can work on it, it's easier than it sounds.
  2. I guess the real question is: Do most of the "badgers" get this one, or is it too mind numbingly dull to stick with?

By the way, I'm really disappointed that we cannot get progress on influence badges in Mission Archetect. I would be trying out everyone's arc if we could.
  3. I have about 400 million earned, and the epic badges are just .... well very hard to attain.

What critters drop the most influence?

Luckily my first character created and my main badger makes a great farming toon. When i16 hits I will have more motivation to get these badges with the spawn size increase option. (maybe)

Or would you say that teaming, say doing tf's would be just about as good for influence earnings?
  4. Definitely on your side, if it is 12 times in 4 hours.

Keep trying new things to fix it.

The last thing that really helped me was putting on a cable booster. (made specifically for the internet, not just cable. But I have my cable split to 4 tv's so that was degrading my signal)
I envy the people that never have connection problems, they don't know how lucky they are.
  5. No, they are seperate, whichever is the better # will be used.
  6. Yeah, I see your points. But things are going to change soon, and I'm afraid people are not going to like the results, of how it is fixed. The way we are leveling up characters so fast is ridiculous.
  7. Just throwing the suggestion of fees in there. I was thinking of the missions, but for making an arc is good too.

And yes, I don't mind the elite or people who have been here a long time having an advantage.
  8. Well I know 1 million isn't that much to me, but I've been playing a long time. I would definitely pay to level up in AE.

There should be some fee. Why are they letting us use their expensive equipment anyway?
  9. AE should be a for profit corporation that charges heroes/villains to hone their skills.

I understand why people are upset about how the AE is being used. Set a upfront charge to play an arc to get some people to want to play the regular content.

1,000,000 inf for each arc would definitely keep the people who are just joining the game from focusing entirely at Atlas/Mercy.

Another good inf sink to help keep down inflation would be nice too.
  10. And as a way to stick it to the farmers, double XP will not count in AE missions just as patrol xp doesn't count.
  11. In General, you don't play enough for those expensive IO's, if after 3 years you do not have a lvl 50.

That is not a bad thing! You have a life, which is better than all of the expensive IO's.
  12. Replying to myself, lol.

Thank you Issue 13 and merits. I have a great build now and I think this is one of my best. (but expensive) Changes to Claws and Inv have been really nice.

I have finally gave up Aid Self and can focus on defense.

So I now have tough/weave and have built him with defense and recharge in mind, like everyone else is doing on their respective types.

I have spin now after thinking It wasn't very good for a long time. I have to say, don't miss out on spin, it is a very nice power.

  14. Great guide Gremlen

I have done the respec on mine numerous times and I like the Aid Self route the best.

My latest respec is my favorite.

Claws --- I didn't take swipe, spin, or confront.

Invulnerablility -- I took every power

Flight -- Air superiority with crushing impacts, and fly
(the only drawback is weapon redraw but I like this power)

    Aid Other, and Aid Self

    Fitness pool of course

    Hasten

And the one Epic power that I like for the claws/invuln -- Caltrops
You can jump into any size group without worries with this power. All it needs is one or 2 recharges in it.

Been to Cimerora and gotten the beat down from the new villains? Throw down some Caltrops and you are golden, the incoming damage is slowed down to managable.

On Invincibility, I slot it with 3 cytoskeleton Hami-O's, they are tohit and defense buffs + endurance cost.
This build is great on endurance.

Again, thanks for the guide Gremlen. Not many of us out there, and for most of us, it is the first hero that we made, and consider it our Main.
  15. I always go the aid self route and don't take resist elements and resist energies.

Slotted up, Aid Self is very impressive. Aid Other is handy too at times.
  16. What about copying everything except swapping boost range for acrobatics for mez protection.

I'm totally envious, sounds very nice, just wondering how much boost range helps. (never taken it)
    (edit) whoops
I guess in pvp it's great, never mind
  17. This sounds like fun, you are lucky to have 3 to work with.

Some of the builds take longer to mature, and I'm not sure you will be able to take advantage even with double xp.

If it were me, I think a fun combo to work with would be a bubbler and 2 blasters. You mow through things with relative ease. If you would want to be more safe I would substitute a blaster for a scrapper. But a tank is overkill with less damage on a 3 man team in the early levels.
  18. They should have guides for their employees anyways. Make guides for the players and their employees.

How do they get their information?
  19. PvP is too much like Doug Head Shot, "Boom! Head Shot!!!" "I can dance all day!"
(Hope you have seen this funny video)

PvE should be left alone, but EVERYONE should be auto gimped when entering a PVP zone. The longer the battles, the more fun it gets.

Funny guide, I think we are all frustrated with PvP. I'm a fan of Battlefield 1942. Making a good PvP game has to be one of the toughest things to do well.
