  1. There's Beast Run too, if your prefer a more of an animal running animation. As ClawsandEffect has mentioned, after City of Heroes: Freedom launches you'll be able to purchase those Travel Powers a la carte for cheaper than getting it bundled together with the entire Booster Pack.
  2. It's alright. A lot of min/maxers here enjoy playing other ATs too. We've given out Blaster build advice to Stalker builds. Repost that Inv/Stone if you'd like.
  3. To-Hit and Damage is more than enough. Soul Drain is essentially permanent with that build. My build goal for DM/Inv was to be as indestructible as possible without giving up much, if any in the way of Damage potential.

These days I never build characters with Travel Powers unless it is a must for character theme. I've never missed them. I have Sprint + Ninja Run to get anywhere I need to be, and soon I will also have Rocket Board. Taking out Travel Powers in the build lets me do so much more. It's incredible what one single Power Pick or even Power Slot can do for a build.

The plasma ball would take on whatever colors the energy beam has. The colors of the sigils and crystal could be set in the costume creator.
There is actually a gun or two that is magic themed. Beam Rifle can work for Magic characters too.

Words. They are hard to use.
  6. Rebirth Radial Epiphany. Even at its weakest, that Destiny power still gives my DM/Inv an incredible amount of Regeneration. I picked that Destiny power specifically to improve the layered Damage mitigation that DM/Inv does so well.
  7. Here's the updated one, Werner. The latest build has more Regeneration and the third slot in Hasten moved toward better use:

Incredibly fun build. My favorite Scrapper thus far.
  • This thread is okay to bring back up at any time. It is always relevant.
  • I like the Neck Cover for Face texture! I use it often - usually to connect clothing from the Chest up to the Neck, like this example:

My most used item ever in the Costume Creator though, is Face 6 for Female characters. I love, love, love that face!

    Scrappers Solo?

Pick any combination for a Scrapper. You won't be disappointed.

If you've got anything you'd like out of your characters, go ahead and post away! Single Target DPS, indestructible, leveling build, whatever you want I'm sure a few people can find a few good matches for your Primary/Secondary choices.

I beg to differ. As an elite super-snobby VIP, I thumb my nose at everything!

If the AT forums were corporations, I think I'd be one of the Scrapper brand managers.
  • The Daily Maintenance hasn't gone to the Americans!
  • I wouldn't say one person has influenced me in this game. If anything, I'd say the Scrapper forum and the community that surrounds it has done the influencing. Its a microcosm of min-maxers, casual players, number crunchers, and story-tellers - all mingling together. It is by far the most active Archetype forum on the CoH boards.

Long before there were Incarnate powers it was highly desired that a team was built a certain way for a Statesman TF. I said "Pancake it, we're doing an All Scrapper STF." We brought home the Win. That went on with the All Scrapper Apex and Tin-Mage TF, when people were saying that bringing a Melee character to the Apex TF was useless in the Battle Maiden fight - or at least frustratingly difficult. I think we even managed to get the "Already Dead" Badge for defeating Battle Maiden in less than 15 minutes.

Whether it's sharing builds, sharing Challenge results, or sharing Scrapper stories, we're always having fun. Enforcing violence and chaos all in the name of fun, since 2004.
  • Play what you think is going to be fun! I'll be making both War Mace and Battle Axe Scrappers.

Well I hardly consider anything with SOs tolerable. With the buffed up Energy Aura, I'm betting the combination is Strong and Pretty.

A Dwarf is what I'm making for my WM/SD.

  • The Strong and Pretty combination is rather good Power Set synergy. Mace could use some Recharge and Endurance management - both of which Energy Aura can provide!

It's why I freakin' love my DM/Inv Scrapper. Against insurmountable odds she thrives! Unless it's on a Fiery Aura Scrapper, death is 0 DPS. My worst nightmare!
