The sleep and holds are good for dropping offensive toggles. YMMV
-
Also all are cordless but I've bought two different types of new batteries.

More like it's conscious and moves of it's own volition.

My mouse is doing things by itself. It doesn't act up until I load the game up.
When I left click powers the mouse acts as if I'm trying to grab the powers. As if I still have the button clicked when I don't. It's not a mechanical problem as it's done the same thing with three different mice.
When trying to move the cursor it's like moving through molasses then sometimes the cursor will just move from wherever I have it to some random part on the screen. I thought perhaps some kind of virus, but I really have no clue.
I've also updated all the drivers for the mice, so yea....any ideas? -
Two ways to play it nowadays...Tactics/Hiber build or a Phase/FA build. Either way you need Perception to be really viable in PvP.
Nades are great, res shield puts you at DR cap I believe, so either way you get goodies.
It all boils down to playstyle. I have a lot more phase builds than hiber builds. -

I kill stalkers all the time on my blaster and they suck because of that I think not.
[/ QUOTE ]
Any Stalker that gets himself killed in PvP did so because he put himself in a position that allowed that to happen. Any competently played Stalker needs never die. Any Stalker that puts himself in such a position is bad because he got greedy and/or impatient, or just thinks way too much of his own abilities.
You are killing bad Stalkers. You are a bad Stalker if you are getting killed. But don't feel too bad, the zones are full of them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Dying doesn't mean your bad necessarily. I usually don't care bout dying and will jump into unsurmountable odds simply cause it's more entertaining than waiting like a snake to pick off the wandering calf from the herd. -
Dying on stalker is possible but you usually have to invite the chance. In all reality if you didn't want to die on a stalker you'd never have to. There isn't many toons you can do that with.
-
The -range in taunt will help bring things into your range if they want to fight, but if they want to run nothing will stop them...which is why range > melee.
-
You may have them targeted but actually not see where they ran off too, that's when hitting F can point you into the right direction.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Mezzes, not a lot of meleers have any and if they do they slow you down to cast it and probably will only slow your opponent down to your speed .so not closing gap
[/ QUOTE ]
Every melee has access to some kind of soft/Hard control. The PPP's for vills have holds/immobs as do the APP's for heroes. Get your powers straight.
Also if you immob or hold somebody, they stop. As in, they are immobile, or held in place. So as long as you move towards them while they are in this state you will close the gap. Not shure how you think a held person will still move as fast as you. Sounds pretty illogical.
[ QUOTE ]
Knock up knock back, most ranged pvp toons have bought into enhancements that prevent themselves from being KBd , and There aren't too many ranged kb ku attacks in melée sets , normal attacks that do KB you would still need to get close to them first ..
[/ QUOTE ]
With that argument then there's nothing you can do for anything, cause everytime you damage them they could just heal, or everytime you try to debuff accuracy they could just build for +Acc...yes some people have KB IO's but the vast majority don't.
You're right in that there aren't a lot of Ranged KB/KU attacks but they exist, in certain sets. Just because you don't want to roll a Claws or a Super Strength doesn't mean that the tools aren't available.
[ QUOTE ]
Toggled debuffs , not sure if there are too many melée ATs with those :S
[/ QUOTE ]
Brutes get them, and I'm not sure if tanks get a similar power.
[ QUOTE ]
The F button, this only works if the target is immobile , given that when anything at all happens you're both slowed
[/ QUOTE ]
Using the F button can close the gap when you lose visual on them. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
They aren't doing that much too much damage...just a little.
If you are getting owned by dom's now...then this minor change wont make you win against them.
[/ QUOTE ]
From what I hear doms are doing 20% more damage then they should. That's not huge, but its far from minor.
[/ QUOTE ]
^this. -
[ QUOTE ]
You people are so far behind the times.... I am glad I have cancelled my subs.
[/ QUOTE ]
People who don't care are so cool. Must be such a burden to be so far advanced. -
I'd go dark/therm over rad/therm if there's no PvP in the future for that toon. You don't have aim, but you get a heal in your primary which can boost your overall healing if you slot some Numi's in it or DW's. If you want some kind of tohit you can always just get FA.
Dark also debuffs tohit with every attack and has lots of utility from an early snipe to lots of AoE soft control, immob, stun, KB's.
Rad is my next choice though cause -Def is my fav secondary effect out of all the choices.
EDIT: The -ToHit part of Dark will help you with your defensive numbers. BS gives a def shield and you can always slot red fortunes into everything till you have 5 sets. -
[ QUOTE ]
anything that can take the new taunt has no right to complain.
[/ QUOTE ]
And there's no way your blaster has more Res than your tanker since IIRC they changed the curve so this wouldn't happen. -
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Unlike in PvE, defensive toggles do not suppress when you are held/stunned. This means that not only do the toggles not drop, they continue to grant defenses while the player is held/stunned.
[/ QUOTE ]
That is out of the i13 patch notes. As is this nugget.
[ QUOTE ]
In general, there is no such thing as Status Protection in PvP, only Resistance. The exception is Knockback protection, since Knockback is a binary effect.
[/ QUOTE ]
And this...
[ QUOTE ]
All Player defensive Toggle Powers should now "suppress" when you are Held, Stunned or Slept instead of shutting off. The toggles have limited or no functionality when in this state. If you are held while flying, for instance, if the power which held you does not also have a -Fly function, you will remain in the air. Status protection powers still provide Hold, Sleep and Stun protection, even while other defenses are suppressed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Edit: Bolded for win.
[/ QUOTE ]
You must be illiterate... -
Roll the Earth/NRG, it'll probably be 50 before mine anyway so I can ask you all the things I'm too tired to go test meself.
-
Corruptors don't do near blaster damage...not even close. If you want a blasty AT Doms are the only way to go.
Dom Base HP is lower than a blasters by 187 according to you, haven't checked myself, and you make it seem like it's a small amount. All the +HP accolades combined give you about 200hp...so the fact that a blaster starts that far ahead should mean something.
Controller holds should not do as much damage as a doms...they are there to control and buff/debuff...not control and kill. While trollers can kill, obviously, it's not a Role they are meant to fill.
Your defender isn't a damage dealing AT...it's a buff/debuff oriented AT with a blast secondary. Doms don't have a blast secondary...they have assault secondaries.
The only mitigation doms have are damage and mez and like stated before, mez is now a significantly smaller hurdle to overcome than it once was, ergo doms need more damage to survive since they don't have support secondaries to fall back on. -
I did miss the point...I'm assuming you're referring to the NoPhase period?
-
You can phase after people now and chase them. I think Hiber is a death sentence so these things exist ingame for me already.
-
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
I understand the game mechanics. That has nothing to do with the fact that it's bugged. There is zero reason for mezzes to stop only half the kb protections in the game, while doing nothing to the other half. Either all powers need to be affected by it, or none. Otherwise, it's a bug.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's still balanced on I12 grounds. Think of it this way, clickies are the way they are becuase they are on a recharge.
Thing is, say vs recharge slows toggles are superior due to having low recharge times and not dropping after so long. A clickie would run out of mez protection at one point and be forced to wait for the recharge.
With the clickies though, its possible to get stacking protection, and its active while mezzed, meaning if that dom could stack 3 mag 4 holds for 1 second, you would be held, but only for 1 sec, while a toggle user would be held for an entire duriation.
It's an odd thing to be complaining about, but it could use a small revamp due to I13 mez changes, thing about it is how could you change it while having minimal impact on players. Otherwise its really not a game breaking bug.
[/ QUOTE ]
It's game breaking if the only part of the game you play is PvP. KO Blow should not be KB'ing anybody with KB res toggle, especially tanks/Brutes RE: anything non squishie.
Read the patch notes I posted a while back...you're resistance bonuses do not decrease while Mezzed. Doesn't matter whether it's a clickie or a toggle power either way it doesn't suppress. So yea I'd call that pretty major IMO. -
Aye...the Singy uses it too, so that's the only time your KB would get wrecked.
