PvP character?

Ive got two builds in the works for a new PvP toon. one is a psi/dev blaster and the other is a BS/regen and im curious as to which one would be more viable. ive played a psi blaster in PvE and its underperformance made me not want to make another one although if it is as viable in PvP as people are saying it is i can overlook the lack of PvE ability. any thoughts?


Positron's i13 letter: We are trying to make PvP more accessible to new players, while giving experienced PvP'ers the advantage that comes with formulating tactics around the new systems we're putting in place. PvP from now on will be on our priority list. If something isn't working out, we'll be in there tweaking it and making it work, for the entire future of the product, not just Issue 13.

If properly slotted, both can be good. /regen is the best secondary in pvp for scrappers right now, at least on my server. You might get better feedback if you post this in the pvp section. But yea, both of those builds can do just fine.

If you want to be hard to kill, go with the Scrapper. If you want to get kills, go with the Blaster. In PvP range is king and melee will always be disadvantaged in that regard.

The -range in taunt will help bring things into your range if they want to fight, but if they want to run nothing will stop them...which is why range > melee.
