  1. If you are doing it "right", by the time you grab the money, you should have upwards of 20 to 30 minutes left. Remember, Mayhems are best run as Mayhems, not Safeguards.

Why do I get the feeling that Perfect Pain was the girl being hit on? Otherwise, what would be the odds of two female gamers who both like super hero MMOs being in the gaming aisle at the same Best Buy at the same time?
  3. My partner earlier tonight turned in some salvage on Virtue, and a DA event was initiated immediately in Brickstown.
  4. From the Ninja Booster Pack...

The Tai --> Tai Skin gloves option needs a serious overhaul.

It makes the character look like her arms were stuck in a microwave oven set on high. If that is supposed to be skin, shouldn't it be smooth instead of all wrinkled and ugly? in addition to the radiation burns, it also looks like the skintone does not quite match the skin on the upper arms anyway.

A really good one I saw in AP recently was this big green guy dressed in a Huckleberry Finn type costume: Incredible Huck. At least I thought it was pretty clever. Personally though, he should have given him purple skin (like a huckleberry) instead of green to slightly reduce the odds of him getting genericed.

Blueside, Numina's is actually a pretty poor choice. It barely sells for 70m crafted and costs 250 merits. With a few exceptions, merit purchases in general are bad value for money - the market is cheaper.
But there are cases where what you want to buy just is not available at the level you need (like most Unbounded Leap or Celerity Stealths), unless you want to wait for weeks or months for one to come up. In that case, you are better off going ahead and spending your merits on one instead of spending on a high selling recipe (like the aforementioned LotG) and then not being able to use your massive earnings to purchase what you need.

Eldritch Ninja is available on Virtue, for an electric Ninja themed Brute. Haven't thought of one for fire yet, and the one I had in mind for stone is disqualified because it is punny.
  8. Most likely turning in Halloween salvage, just like with the Zombie invasion.

    Library Pass

Don't overlook the invention tables in the Vanguard base. Also, there are abandoned labs in Port Oakes and St. Martial if you need a place to quickly go to craft.

As for quicker access to the Universities? Well, it really is not all that far a run from the Yellow Line to the Steel Canyon branch. And likewise, the one in Croatoa is pretty easy to get to as well. And if you need to get to the Green Line real fast from a low level zone, and do not want to work your way through Steel, the Founders Falls exit from the Vanguard Base is right across the street from the train station.

Thanks to the Super Science Pack, we are no longer limited to gas masks for the chicken beak effect.

But still, more feathery options would be quite welcome: actual bird heads, feathery patterns, bird feet, and assorted styles of tailfeathers.
  12. You weren't the only one. In fact, I originally thought it was Talosian (a nod to the Buttheads from the original Star Trek pilot episode).

And for the few that do have secret identities... well, they're *secret.* Kind of defeats the purpose of having a secret alter-ego if you have to wander around wearing a nametag that says: "Hi! My name is Bob Henderson!"
My Snowbeast still is pining for the ability to wear dark glasses to make his secret identity complete...

It would be like giving everyone the chance to use a longer name. If you want to be Stratos (which I am sure is taken on most if not all servers), and you find it is taken, you ahve the option to be Doctor Stratos, etc (same as now)
And if your Stratos is sonic oriented, you can give him a last name...Varius or Castor perhaps?

Was there ever any official word from the devs, or from Marketing, or whoever that the Ninja Pack is actually the Natural Pack? Or is it possible that the Ninja Pack is simply the Ninja Pack (like the Wedding Pack is the Wedding Pack and the Valkyrie Pack is the Valkyrie Pack), and there will still be a more generic Natural Booster pack forthcoming soon?

  16. The Tsoo Coup arc (levels 20-24) has a major bug.

The contacts for this arc will not offer it until level 25. I have gone through all of the contact's stand alone missions, and now at level 24, she is not offering any others, even though I have not run her arc.

I only have one arc open as well, so that is not the problem.

Bug report has been filed on this in game, and the Wiki entry for this arc has had a note added.

Probably some more. It IS a challenge sometime. I do admit, but not impossible.
I suppose it should not be a surprise that Cryobaby is takn on Virtue. Granted, it is not a name I would want. It was just one that came to mind reading the above list.

I think I was justified in being surprised not too long ago to find that Holly Day was available on Virtue. Last Winter Event, that name was taken. But just a couple months ago I managed to grab it without having to hyphenate the name (unlike what I had to do on Justice.)

Twilight Dream and Pyrefox were also pleasant surprises as well.
  18. Big question. If your preferred server were to get merged with another server, would you have any problem whatsoever with having to possibly change all your characters' names due to someone else possibly having those names on the other server?
  19. If you want to change a SG name, the only way is to engage in a Nemesis Plot.

1: Get a friend to create and publish a super hero oriented web comic somewhere that makes heavy use of your SG's name.

2: After the comic is well established (give it perhaps a month or two), petition a GM with your concern that your SG may be violating the comic creator's imaginary property, and request to have the name changed so it does not violate anyone's rights.

Just make sure there is no indication anywhere that you are in any way shape or form affiliated with said creator.

Don't know if that will work or not, but it is worth a shot.

  21. And just as an FYI, once the pack expires, you can save some money every month by not buying another of those cards, as now, for a mere 10,000 inf (way less than what your tutorial insps will sell for at WW or the Black Market), wou can buy a Raptor Pack from the vendor in the Shadow Shard or Grandville.
  22. Song of the South, followed by The Gnome Mobile and Robin Hood.
