...So I just stepped out of it in the only way I could, with bad comedy.
What I WOULD have said, if I thought there was a point in arguing with such a person, is that my INTENDED meaning was that each single human mind has so much creative potential that it could create a lifetime of entertainment for people in a relatively short time. Go look at some of the works of the great Sci-fi and fantasy fiction authors that are still endlessly discussed and read over and over again by GENERATIONS of people even after their deaths (Tokein, Bradbury, etc.). So a TEAM of people have the capacity to create "infinite" (translated yet AGAIN to the dim-witted as VAST) amounts of entertaining stories.
Sure people "run out" of ideas once in a while, but that's just a result of needing more exposure to OTHER people's ideas outside of the inner circle. When people run out of ideas, they need to immerse themselves in the world of others to spark more creative juices of their own. There's a reason why the major cities are a hotbed of writing talent. Not just because there's more people so more people that could become writers, but also because more people INTERACTING with those writers create more stories by their very interactions.
That's what I WOULD have said, if the guy wouldn't have taken the metaphor literally. A shame.

Also note that I'm still getting JUST as much negative rep as I am positive, yet my total rep score keeps going up. Which PROVES to me that the rep system is set up to slowly lift everyone up to positive rep, unless you are consistently a jerk in every way all the time. And even those guys would probably be banned for something before their rep got too low. -

Only other thing I can really quibble about is the continued separation of markets... not sure how markets are going to work for those starting in Praetoria either. They couldn't be crazy enough to make a 3rd market, so I'm not sure why they want to continue the separation elsewhere. -
For me it's consistent, night and day. It's been this way for a few weeks. I have Midcontinent in SD.

Has anyone else noticed the forums acting laggy and inconsistent lately or is it just me? I swear about 2 minutes out of 10, the forums are snappy and quick, and the other 8 minutes out of ten, I have to click... and wait... and click... and wait.... and often times the pages NEVER load and they time out.
So I've gotten in the habit of clicking and waiting about 3 seconds, then if it doesn't actually start to load the page, I click again. It's still frustrating.
Anyone else, experiencing this, or could this just be my ISP? I don't think it is because other sites load just fine. -
Actually, those are some of the reasons I PREFER IP over Talos... that and the quiet. And the fact that I can actually find something on the map WITHOUT having to zoom in because all the icons are clustered together.
