  1. I used my tokens to transfer all my "important" characters off of Freedom and Virtue... then deleted the rest on those two servers. Thanks for the present devs!
  2. So, can you think of any questions for the devs about GR that haven't even been asked yet?

I looked over the Going Rogue FAQ, and the one thing I didn't see surprisingly enough was this.... will there be any new archetypes introduced?

CoH and CoV, the previous two boxed set expansions, both had about a half dozen ATs each... shouldn't GR have the same thing? 5 or 6 new ATs?

Or is this it for new ATs aside from epics that may be released in the future?

And anyone have any other questions that haven't been asked yet?

On the other hand, it's crowded, the people are rude, and it's hard to form close relationships because people get lost in the shuffle.

Virtue is like Los Angeles. Still pretty big, but a lot more relaxed, not quite as crowded, and a lot more accepting. The people are friendly, and you get all the perks of living in a big city. On the other hand, the people there have a reputation for being weird, fruity, whiny know-it-alls, and housing is a nightmare.
This is the single best metaphor I've ever seen used on these forums.
  7. Can someone be jealous of a club that's completely open to the public that anyone can join if they wish? I don't see quite how that works...
  8. Now that's what I'm talkin' about!
  9. How to get new subscribers? Make more Bootleg Edition discs...

...and give a bunch of them to us so that we can pass them out. That'll do a lot, I think. Physical media, especially for "free" is a powerful thing. Much more powerful than just a digital code sent out via e-mail.
  10. I think you're thinking too much Perma.
  11. Yes there are more people on those servers, that is a fact.

Here's another opinion however. I started on Justice for my first year, then moved to Freedom for 4 years and after that spent a few months dedicated on Protector. Now I hop all over the place when I do play. What I've discovered that I feel is important to the OP's desires is wishing for a sense of COMMUNITY.

You don't find that on Freedom. Freedom is mass chaos made manifest. Oh sure, you CAN find small tightnit groups on Freedom... but that's defeating the point of a "high population server" isn't it? If you want COMMUNITY, you want a low population server, and this I know from experience.

You can, I've heard, find that on Virtue to some extent, but it REALLY shows on Protector (especially in the Jello Shooters channel) and also to a certain extent on the Justice server, especially late at night when all the Aussies come out of the woodwork.

But really, if you're looking for COMMUNITY, I'd strongly suggest a small server. If you're just looking for a new random Pick Up Group team every day, then Freedom is the place to be. I should know, that's where I learned HOW to form Pick Up Groups of random people and make them all solidly successful no matter what.

But once again, that's just one man's opinion.

    This. WYSIWYG FTW!

    Also, ImageShack rulz, Photobucket droolz.
  13. To all those that called me a liar, you can believe what you wish. But I posted that KNOWING that 5 people would be coming in right after me to tell them the truth. In the world of the internet, the truth overshadows all. I knew that fully when I made my choice in what to post so I was confident in posting it.

So in short, YOU may think and call me a liar if you wish, but I posted knowing for a fact that the truth would quickly be revealed.

Nope, I NEVER have a problem getting a full team when I want to. Others do, however.
  15. Freedom and Virtue as being the "most populated" servers is technically true, and it REMAINS so because of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

People want to "be where the people are" so they go where the people are, which adds even MORE people to those servers. It's an endless cycle.

The only way to reverse it is to support "lower population" servers and show people how they can still have fun on those servers and still get a team easily no matter where they are.

Every time someone points another player to Freedom and Virtue, it perpetuates the cycle and increases the disparity.
  16. You guys know that you're all a part of the problem, right?
  17. Champion. No wait... Infinity!

    Perhaps Guardian or Protector?

I'm sorry that was a typo. I meant to type "The Library of the CONGO".

We deduced that one of them must be the leader, and that if we take it out then they will all die. So me and my friend, both about level 14 blasters, decided to try and kill one... Yeah, you can see how THAT turned out. What ensued was a crazed run through the streets of Kings Row being followed by a GM.

    Good times, good times.

Ha! That's an awesome story. I wish I could remember my early days. Stupid bad memory.

Well it sure is a good thing that digital space is virtually infinite then, isn't it?

I think I heard a long time ago that the entire Library of Congress could fit on one floppy disk in text format.
