Odd trends or hints of things to come?
The Thorns also took a major hit with the Fualtline revamp - they used to be all over the old zone, now they're not there at all - plus they've now got to deal with the Legacy Chain operating in the Hollows too - so life is getting harder for evil mages, it seems

A while ago, there was no such thing as the Council, and 5th Column spawned where the Council does now. Then the Council appeared and there was the Council-5th Column war in the streets of Paragon, and the Council won. Now the 5th Column is back, and they're back to fighting.
Another instance of this is with the council and the fifth column in steel canyon. Before the introduction of the barracuda strike force and dr kahn task force you saw the council being strong in steel canyon but with the addition of them you see a shift in the spawning of the council in relation to the spawning of the council.

Noticing these shifts and trends in the spawning I must say that it makes me more mindful to watch the shift in the spawning of enemies in the zones more closely cause I think there may be a hint of things to come in the way things spawn in the game as to things to come.

Like the change to the cape mission and now we have rikti moderators in the boards. That makes me think change is close at hand to the way invasions happen. Why did they go after hero ones letter only what is it about that letter that drew there interest. Could it be a hint of another strike force to come? Or is it a greater threat on the horizon that is hinted at here?

Additionally, try reading the letter. It's not hints of things to come, it's a recounting of the "present", 7 years ago, for posterity.

I have been blessed with an amazing life. Ever since I found the cave and the Lake, nothing has ever been the same. I have tried my best to live up to the ideals of the Table and those who once sat around it. I draw my power from them and I've always believed that meant they have some way of knowing who I am and what I've tried to become in their shining image. Our world is under attack by an alien threat. The invaders come through portals and few can do anything to stop them. I believe I can help. I've talked with Statesman about a plan. These Rikti are vulnerable to magic and I intend to lead a team and travel into their portals to shut them down from the inside. It's a one way trip and I won't be coming back. Statesman, in true form, wants to do nothing more than to attack these creatures head on. He doesn't fully agree with my plan, nor do I agree with his brazen America approach to the problem. But, if I succeed, someone will have to stay behind to protect humanity from itself. Who better than the indomitable Statesman? We are now two teams: Alpha and Omega. Everything is always Greek with him. I have left the sword Excalibur with his granddaughter, Ms. Liberty. She reminds me the most of myself at that age and I know she'll protect it well. There was no way I was going take such a sword to an alien world so far from my Lady. I hope such a choice does not weaken me. If this is truly my last entry to this world I want to say that second chances are possible. I'm living proof of that. I had no right to enter the Lake or to speak with Her. I was angry, arrogant and upset at the course my father had laid out for me. Yet, She wasn't upset, but was calm and soothing. She saw me and saw what I could become - what I have become. When I hold that sword I know who I am... I'm a hero. The first, the last... the one. Stay True Hero 1 |

GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

I think you're thinking too much Perma.
thats why i threw it out there I saw a interesting trend in the game and better to say hey I noticed this and see what everyone thought about it. like i said i have only been in the game about two years. i wouldn't know if i was on to something if i didn't throw it out there and see what every one thinks about it. seeing what people have pointed out about the little things I saw sets me at easy and shows me that while i was over thinking things a bit. still has me thinking about little things like my first MA arc. looking at the little things i have spotted with story arcs expanding on some arcs with my own spin might be a way to go. many stories we take for granted. and some zones need some attention like boomtown that don't see a lot of action. so thank you for the views on what i noticed.
you don't know till you ask and better to throw it out there and see what people think. though it still makes me wonder why hero ones letter was the one stolen just seems like an element that could be expanded in the future. I see a lot of elements in stories that hang like loose ends. for eventual expansion.

I was talking to a friend the other day and we noticed some slight evolutions to the game that may provide hints of things to come if watched closely. One thing I noticed is the change to the hallows it started with the spawning of enemies on the streets like the trolls, outcasts, and skulls. Used to be that they were in greater numbers on the streets near the entrance to Atlas Park. Now we progress a bit through the issues and the police presence increased and the spawning went down showing that the work with David Wincott was having an effect on the zone. Aka heros making a difference in a story line perspective.

I am sure there is a lot of instances that I was not around for given I have only been around since April of 08 and not as long as most of the community. Course I could be way off base with this and just noticing a small quirk in the game that means nothing at all or it could be a way to see hints of things to come.

Who knows but these are just a few observations I have taken notice of that I just thought I would throw out there and see if anyone else had noticed any other odd trends we may have taken for granted.
