    New GR video! :D

the seers are the coles ( borg) drones. resistance is futile your mental powers and distinctiveness shall be added to our own.
  2. one issue i have found over this weekend was in the base builder. when i tried to work on the walls and floor styles the game locked up and i had to ctrl alt delete and shut it down to get back in to the game. and it has happened every time i have tried also when i log out it will lock up freeze the counter when i hit exit now. till i control alt delete and close it down only way i have found to successfully log out is to just let the game time itself out by standing in the place i want to log out of.

i have not found any in game issues besides those. and they didnt happen on test when i was playing there.

i am using windows vista home premium 64 bit and have a evga gt 240 which runs ultra mode perfectly. i am open to any work around anyone may know
  3. So many things in the last two years. I know many are saying such a short time in but in two years I have really taken the game apart with just one phrase. " what am I going to do today?" radio missions, flashback arcs, street sweeping, snatch and grab badge dash,or just spend a 4 hours in icon making costumes and not buying them just saving them for use in some toon that I may make when ever. So many mini games to cook up and that is with out using AE.

One moment i will always remember fondly actually attempting to take jack on solo and getting noticeable damage on him with my stone tank knew I couldn't kill him but seeing actual damage on a solo attempt showed me that tanks may have something.

the first gm i saw and the tell i sent Steele about it " they put the giant octopus from 20,000 leagues under the sea in the game." and then an hour later running in to eochai in croatoa and screaming at my sister " Samhain is chasing me"

The things I do for art...

as far as flying camera angles if you find a partner and have them flying and you use the follow command you can swing the camera around you as you move with just the arrow keys in a complete three sixty little trick i picked up while teaching my mother to play the game having her follow my sister. it works with run and i tested it on fly just an hour ago so it does work and you wont crash.

    New to game

Well in the tutorial zone take out 100 of the infected and you can get the isolator badge. Its not an area you can collect experience in for doing it but it is the first badge you can get your hands on in game. For most new people i would recommend blasters it will grant you some range so you wont get swamped by mobs while you learn the controls. but you really cant go wrong with any powersets they are all pretty balanced. Starting atlas park is always a great place for new people after the tutorial zone. it is one of the most traveled zones in the game cause most places link to it in some way or another. it also has wentworths which will come in handy for your needs in later levels and you wont have far to travel when you eventually get sent to the hallows. when you get to level 5 you should consider a trip to the detectives in kings row for the police scanner.

also you might want to go to http://www.vidiotmaps.com/ and get the map pack that will improve your in game map and give you badge locations as well as other useful information on zone events.

hope this helps you get the hang of things
  6. I have been listening to the talks about the super groups and how going rogue will effect them and it got me thinking. With the addition of the ability to have a villain go good and a hero able to go bad it would allow for a new kind of supergroup or villain group given the alignment changes why not add the ability for a supergroup or villain group to set the alignment they wish to be considered as. We could have more oriented supergroups like say you have a group of vigilantes it could be a mix of a range in the game to allow for those that wish to be the way they see their characters to exist more freely. And allow for a use of the different shades of grey we see coming.

From a character stand point it allows for more freedom for I am sure that some people have made characters that don’t really fit the definition of a true hero or a true villain. It is one of the reason many of the people are so stoked about what going rogue brings to the table.

So why not set up and alignment system for super and villain groups to allow for the range that has been set up for characters. I mean there is also the ability to monitor the ethics of a super group and if the members average alignment drops towards villan side they could be considered a vigilante group or a villain group becoming a rogue group if the overall average for the alignment of the characters goes towards a hero.

It would be like the justice league doing evil and becoming more like the legion of doom. Or alpha flight or the x men turning to evil or being considered evil by the masses.
I am sure the major issue with the system would be the group transporter system as to what zones would be allowed to be traveled in by a character. So why not have the ability to have all the portals but let the character alignment decide if you can enter a zone used to be that you couldn’t get in to some zones due to level but didn’t mean your super group or villan group couldn’t have the portal set up in the base just setting them up so that they can only access the places there alignment allows. Doesn’t mean you can’t have the teleporters in your base just means that you have to be a certain flavor of hero or villain to use them.

thats why i threw it out there I saw a interesting trend in the game and better to say hey I noticed this and see what everyone thought about it. like i said i have only been in the game about two years. i wouldn't know if i was on to something if i didn't throw it out there and see what every one thinks about it. seeing what people have pointed out about the little things I saw sets me at easy and shows me that while i was over thinking things a bit. still has me thinking about little things like my first MA arc. looking at the little things i have spotted with story arcs expanding on some arcs with my own spin might be a way to go. many stories we take for granted. and some zones need some attention like boomtown that don't see a lot of action. so thank you for the views on what i noticed.

you don't know till you ask and better to throw it out there and see what people think. though it still makes me wonder why hero ones letter was the one stolen just seems like an element that could be expanded in the future. I see a lot of elements in stories that hang like loose ends. for eventual expansion.
  8. I was talking to a friend the other day and we noticed some slight evolutions to the game that may provide hints of things to come if watched closely. One thing I noticed is the change to the hallows it started with the spawning of enemies on the streets like the trolls, outcasts, and skulls. Used to be that they were in greater numbers on the streets near the entrance to Atlas Park. Now we progress a bit through the issues and the police presence increased and the spawning went down showing that the work with David Wincott was having an effect on the zone. Aka heros making a difference in a story line perspective.
Another instance of this is with the council and the fifth column in steel canyon. Before the introduction of the barracuda strike force and dr kahn task force you saw the council being strong in steel canyon but with the addition of them you see a shift in the spawning of the council in relation to the spawning of the council.

Noticing these shifts and trends in the spawning I must say that it makes me more mindful to watch the shift in the spawning of enemies in the zones more closely cause I think there may be a hint of things to come in the way things spawn in the game as to things to come. I am sure there is a lot of instances that I was not around for given I have only been around since April of 08 and not as long as most of the community. Course I could be way off base with this and just noticing a small quirk in the game that means nothing at all or it could be a way to see hints of things to come.

Like the change to the cape mission and now we have rikti moderators in the boards. That makes me think change is close at hand to the way invasions happen. Why did they go after hero ones letter only what is it about that letter that drew there interest. Could it be a hint of another strike force to come? Or is it a greater threat on the horizon that is hinted at here?

Who knows but these are just a few observations I have taken notice of that I just thought I would throw out there and see if anyone else had noticed any other odd trends we may have taken for granted.
  9. In the shallow pools I want to see the reflections of the ones i am fighting as well cause when I watch my replays of my sessions i notice things i could have done better and with the reflections. it would make it more epic when i watch my game films to improve my game play.

if it does effect missions i plan to redo the Frostfire mission just to see if you can see yourself in the ice. But also in Steel Canyon I plan to check out the hellion fires and see if the smoke from the burning buildings cast shadows on the street. like they would in a real fire. raking leaves made me think of those got to love housework.
  10. I have been looking at the video of where they showed us ultra mode and it got me thinking what places I wanted to go to and see in ultra mode most.

    Hero side
    1. Croatoa around the bay where sally is and the forests
    2. Perez Park to see the light in the forest canopy
    3. Dark Astoria. for more reasons than I can list in one post
    4. Skyway City to see the shadows of the overpasses. for the three dimensional aspect of the lighting
    5. Cimerora to see the shadows in town
    6. Firebase Zulu. for the same reason I will have to wait till Christmas next year to see pocket D in ultra mode seeing the floating asteroids for the play on light and shadow.

    Villan side

    1. Nerva Archipelago for the seagulls.
    2. St. Martial because I spend alot of time there villian side
    3. Cap Au Diable

those are my top nine places I thought of. Where would you like to see?
