No, we've had those for about a week now. They just appear to be more concentrated and noticable in this thread for obvious reasons.

Also: PM invitation seems tacky and reminiscent of Cryptic Studios
Just so that you know, the PM invites were only to select individuals during the "beta" phase of testing the new boards and getting all the bugs/themes/forums worked out. I PMed only a few dozen people, and once we were out of beta and "public", I stopped. I was just trying to get a pool of people that could help me get things ironed out discretely before we "went public".

Yes, an unfortunate choice that I did not foresee until after it was too late. I will be much more careful in naming my kids, I assure you.
  2. I always get the Red one, then bubble it.

Also, it makes a pretty decent cannon fodder when bubbled!

So I get an invitation and see the banners for Paragon Unleashed. I go and look it over and it seems to me to be an excuse to post naughty pictures and say naughty words.
If you didn't register, then you also didn't see Warburg, where we usually talk a bit more about serious issues. You know, the kind of issues that you can't talk about here. Interestingly enough, while the inital draw for most people might be to "be naughty", Warburg, the "serious" section actually has about TWICE as many posts as any of the other sections. Interesting, isn't it?

We also have a Rogue Isles section, specifically for all things villainous. The nastiest stuff goes there.

By the way, Paragon Unleashed is in no way tied to Paragon Studios or NCSoft.

On a final note, the creation of this thread had nothing to do with and was not planned by anyone over at PU. Bionic Flea is an independent agent.
  4. When will you be finally unleashed from the burden of the Marketing department's power? When will you finally be able to say what you want to say when you want to say it?

Or are you doomed to be slaves to corporate PR for the rest of your careers?

My problem is I don't even know where to begin with what powers I should take and focus on, especially when it comes from pool powers.

Thanks to DXP weekend you leveled up a Defender, which you've never played before, VERY quickly, and now you have no clue what powers to take and focus on?

I'm not surprised. I've always been of the camp that prefers to level more "slowly" so that I can "feel out" the set and learn how to use it properly, at all levels.

    Good luck.
  6. /signed. The Shard has always been my favorite zone. I wish I had more reasons to spend more time there. Infinite generic missions are not a good reason.
  7. I'm surprised no one has linked to this site yet.

Check it out, there's some cool stuff in there that might answer some of your questions.

This. You have TONS of free slots on TONS of servers. Use them and try everything until you find something you like!

    And welcome to the game!
  9. I play on all the servers, when I play. So I guess I'll try to answer....

"Why did I choose to play on all the servers?"

Because the game is identical on all of them. And I can get a full team any time I want to on all of them.

Or I can solo on all of them if I choose. It's nice!

Aww... you're making me blush, stop that!
  12. Whoever said anything about sheep?

Humans are humans. And humans are followers. It is in their nature. Being a leader, however, is unnatural. Almost, inhuman perhaps?

Just ask anyone who's been a leader.

Not totally true... I play on Virtue because it's easier to find RPers there
So... you're not going there because there's lots of other people there... you're going there because there's lots of other people like you there?

    Got it!

So then if you see someone starting to run across the street, and you see a semi just coming along about to hit them IF they go to cross, and they don't see it... you should just let it hit them... because you can't be responsible for the future actions of someone?

  22. I agree with Golden Girl. Then again, I've never believed in the death penalty. I do, however, believe in life imprisonment.

  25. So that's 11 merits for every new character. And each large inspiration last time I checked was selling for 20-60K. (Albeit I haven't checked in a while). So that would be 200k-800k in influence instantly, just for logging in and claiming the credits and buying the inspirations and reselling them. Actually, at that rate I think it'd be faster than farming... hmmm....
