Quote:^thisConsidering the Fire Whip, Thermal might also be a good thematic match. And since we know next to nothing about the set thus far, it is hard to say much about it.
Thematically, I'm thinking Demon/Thermal. But since we have no idea what the set performs like (or even what it looks like) I really can't make a decision. -
I wonder, if someone compiled all the new costume stuff we've ever gotten over the issues, would the current rate of free stuff be same as the rate from, say, before the Wedding pack?
From a cursory glance, it looks like the current rate of free stuff is about the same, but the overall rate of new costume pieces is higher. -
Quote:Standard code rant, again. But the coding already exists, thats the point, Its on the AVs. Not even just that look at ice sword, how its graphics were messed up, between having its form, and then the icy aura not matching up, they have the aura for us already there, fire sword, etc. They just need to make it customizable to normal weapons.

Yes. Use the Dress Shirt 2 selection from the Chest category. Then use the Assassin Chest Pattern. Colour the 'stripes' white, and the rest black. Then use a jacket that you like.
Edit: and the Chest Symbol in the 'Under' category can be set to Peace Sign or Celtic 3 in all black to block out the rest of the Assassin line. -
My Thugs/Pain MM "Timeshare Larry" is my v-side marketeer. With a name and bio like this:
Quote:How could he not be an ebil marketeer?Imagine the slimiest, sleaziest used car salesmen you've ever met. Now image said salesmen is an empath, able to influence your thoughts and feelings while reeling you into a 'bargain'. That's Timeshare Larry, and has he got a deal for YOU
But now to get back on topic.
For heroes, any combination of Spines/ or Fire/ primaries with /Elec, /Fire, /Dark, or /WP would be good for Scrappers. Fire/Mental or Archery/Mental blaster are good too, but require more investment into survivability. Fire/Kin Controllers are the gold standard of farming.
Villains do well with Fire/, SS/, or Claws/ brutes with /Fire, /WP, or /Fire. Thug and Bot masterminds are on the lower end of things, but offer a wide margin of error. Fire/Psi and Fire/Fire doms are decent, but largely overshadowed by the more survivable Brutes. -
Can we post in this thread for long term offers and stuff?

Does anyone know how to make a bind that toggles Ninja Run on when moving, and then toggles it off when not moving? I really like how dynamic NR makes combat look, but the end cost is a little too high to keep running all the time.

Suggestion:
- Make all Set IO's slottable at up to five levels up.
- Make all set IO's drop at multiples of 5
- Bump all existing set IO's to the next highest multiple of 5, unless they are already at a multiple of 5.
Why?
Because this suggestion would:- Increase the ease of purchasing IO's. No longer would the usable enhancers be spread out over a number of levels, they would all be concentrated at fewer higher volume spots.
- make IO's match the new exemplaring system of keeping powers 5 levels up.
Discussion? -
$name issues the name of the mission holder.
$target issues the name of the current target. May be buggy if the NPC doesn't have a target yet.
Edit: For reference sake, here is the full list of $variables.
- $supergroup: that character's supergroup; if they have none, then "No Supergroup" will appear instead
- $class: their archetype ($archetype also works)
- $level: their level
- $origin: their origin
- $name: their name ($target also works)
- $heshe or $Heshe: substitutes "he" or "she" depending on gender (capitalized will cap the substitution)
- $himher or $Himher: same as above, using "him" or "her"
- $hisher or $Hisher: same as above, using "his" or "her"
- $sirmam or $Sirmam: same as above, using "sir" or "ma'am"

It's such a warm and inviting place here. I can't imagine why PvP is a hard sell in CoHV, or why the Devs put so little effort in. The thanks they get for their work is simply overwhelming.

I like my Pizza the same way I like my RP.
FROM THE FUTURE!
My predisposition for time traveler's aside, I like to take the classics and twist them up a little. -
My old roommate once pushed his face into a fresh baked pizza in order to express his disagreement over my choice of toppings.
I ate the pizza anyway. -
It is possible to perma hold an AV, but it takes a while to stack up >54 mag, and you need some pretty high recharge to do it.

Quote:It has twice Sprint's end cost.That... Ninja Run is incredibly unfair, especially for a power we get at level one. It's twice the speed of Sprint, gives a massive jump height bonus (500% and over) and just gives owners of this pack a HUGE advantage. And I'm saying this as someone who has it. Why even use Sprint at all now?
