  1. Some of mine may continue elsewhere, some may continue in different forms, some will remain where they were, their lives and stories will continue without me mashing buttons to make them do stuff.

I created something that looks like my main in DCUO, but...I feel nothing with it.

I created something different in CO...I feel nothing with it.

I've still got options in Second Life, but that's only RP. There's no way to have good gameplay in SL.

    A TV! And FIRE?!

(Yes...I do like like blasty types, and fire too)

    Really, NCSoft?

I was just on their site...and they were advertising VIP upgrades to City of Heroes...

    *THERMONUCLEAR FACEPALM*

OK, the link leads to an error in the store, but really?

This, I will stalk the devs to whereever any of them end up, I will buy at least one copy of the game (or points, whatever) even if I can't stand the game, and I will go into their game's forum and announce that I'll give the game a try because they hired an amazing person.

I don't know about now, but back then NPC's didn't wear underwear.
/me goes to check NPCs...what? Ima villain, I do bad stuff.

  7. The thing I most love about CoH was that it wasn't me playing in someone else's world to what they wanted us to be, but we made what we wanted in a world that...I felt like ALL of us were creating.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to do this.

Good luck, all of you will be stalked on teh Twitter, and when I find out where y'all end up, I'm buying a copy of whatever y'all make, or buying points if its F2P or...
  8. This is a case of "shut up and take my money". (if it comes to a point where there's a potential for success)

There are tons of stuff broken other than this that I wish you would give half a crap to fix, and this is one minor thing that would be nice if it were adjustable, but DEVS PLEASE FIX THE GAME BEFORE GOING ON ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS
They announced that NCSoft is closing Paragon at the end of November. Game over. No Battalion, no Coming Storm, no "playing the long game"

    Game over.

Exactly what he said, for exactly the same reasons. But I do want something like this
  11. I want female thugs, demons and mercs...I'd even be willing to shell out money for the option.

Also...female barbarians/scifi troops if y'all ever make those sets (plz?).

As to people making icky names and emotes for the pets, just report them, support generics them, then you move on.
  12. I want this too...especially for Energy Melee, due to animation issues...

    *click Total Focus*
    *make dinner*
    *click Energy Transfer*
    *eat dinner*
  13. OK, I want assault for my EM/Invuln brute.

Do I want Core or Radial?

Not only that, even before SSAs came out, I believe we knew who he was working for and why. But they've been pretty clear that "Who Will Die" was "Who Will Die and Stay Dead", but I think I see a way that death could be cheated that would still kill States, spread the power and still not leave Marcus Cole dead...
  15. I'm gonna +1^infinity this

I've got a few character concepts...I made a female gunfighter, a LONG time back, I thought the gunslinger set would improve her look.

Nope. She's a gunfighter of the "There's six of you and I've got two six-shooters, can kill the lot of ya twice before the first of ya hit the ground" type, not a saloon floozy.

I want to make someone similar to Stompa (go ahead, say something about her size...).

Got a few other mastermind-types in mind, again, I can shove them into having male or monstrous minions, but those choices are dramatically inferior to what I *want*. And no, I don't want them to key-bind some dirty macros to them...RP via pet is boring anyway
  16. I agree 100%...and WTH is up with the female gunslinger glove?

Now here's the issue. God is a touchy subject on all fronts. I can make him Natural Origin, or Magic Origin.

Natural origin imples that God is natural, and that rubbed a few of my friends the wrong way as "religion isn't technically of a natural origin."

Magic origin will likely result in people going "OMG GOD ISN'T MAGIC."

    What would you do?
I'm gonna break with character purity. Since origin only seems to affect what stores you buy SOs from and the Origin of Power Story Arc, choose whichever one gives you the most appropriate inherent power (that you'll outgrow in a few levels)

Though I still find my level 50+3 main tossing Taser Darts occasionally...its a Mag 2 hold...so 5-6 of them will lock down one of the little Hami blobs if you don't have a Dominator or Controller in. And Apprentice Charm with its -Res still comes in handy...

I would actually go magic, because you can say the power of God weakens the enemies resistance to your holy powers.
  18. Mostly, if I'm in PvP zones, its either for badging or killing a certain type of mob (Banished Pantheon bosses are a pain to find redside except in PvP zone).

But if someone wants RPvP, I'd love a shot at that.
  19. ((meant to send this much earlier, but was debating how, POV Char is Warder Greene))

The quiet woman with the strange demeanor in the Praetorian Police armor walks into the Paragon PD station calmly. She looks as though she can feel the angry stares of people that blame all Praetorians for the acts of some. She walks in despite that, every motion precise and sharp, but clearly not a military bearing.

She can feel those stares, in the most literal sense. And the recent invasion, using nothing less than Hamidon itself doesn't make them any more inclined to help her. But she has a job, and they have orders, she walks directly to the lieutenant in charge of evidence storage "There is a video that you received. I'm here to examine it" she says softly, her words clipped, speaking efficiently. "I have all the necessary credentials"

He glares at her for a moment, and then tosses the video down on the desk "Takes a lot to come in here looking like that, after what alla you done last week" he growls.

"I'm sorry." she says softly, removing her armored gauntlets so she can touch the cassette directly "But not all of us are the monsters you've seen, and I want to show another way is possible."

"So...what d'you think about this Nadya, you think she can do that?" he asks, as he puts a cigar into his mouth. He leaves it unlit, since its a non-smoking area, though the heavy smell of air-freshener seems to indicate that sometimes, on slow days its only a non-smoking area if he's not caught.

"If she were, I most likely would not be allowed to tell you." she says, trying to read the leftover impressions of the people that touched it, and, possibly the places that item had been "Now please let me concentrate" she says, her eyes fixating on the object for a few, long minutes, until she finally breaks her concentration. "I'll write up a report about what I learned shortly, but I'm sure that I found nothing new about where its been that your Psi-Cops didn't find"

He looks perplexed and annoyed, and takes the cigar out of his mouth "You mean I had to make time out of my day...for one of YOU?", he grumbles, his voice becoming louder with every word "And YOU can't do nuthin' we haven't?"

"I said I don't think I learned anything new about where it had been, I think I may have a bit more about her personality though." she replies, her voice still as soft and calm "I haven't met her personally myself, but we share...a...very close acquaintance." her tone sounding slightly ironic "That would give me a better ability to read her than others would have. Good day, Lieutenant.", she says, turning on her heel and walking out with the same precise motion.

Later, she holds a small steel marble, imprinting her "report" to Mot...Sister Psyche into it, so that she can deliver her report back without having see anyone resembling Mother, much less feel that mind. Even though she knows that Mother and Sister Psyche are possibly the most different of all of the Praetorian analogues, she just wants to avoid her for now.

  21. OK, I've looked at the comics, dev notes, the wiki, earned a badge from chattering with a big old weird blue guy, etc.

I know the Battalion appears to be our next epic enemy, but has there ever been any official details about them?

I say go for it, if the concept fits the powers. If you're teaming, tell them in advance though about your choices, that way they'll avoid any...unpleasant surprises.

But if I'm forming a group (usually for TF or trial), I don't ask about what your AT/set is or what your power choices are. The only time that becomes a problem is if all of the others also have weird concept characters like defenders built for maximum attacks and tanks built for support and...

I'd still give it a shot...and I'd probably have fun doing it. Even if it failed massively. And even if it failed, I wouldn't be annoyed at you for that.

    Invasion event?

OK, yesterday on Virtue we were warned that there was an imminent Hamidon Seed drop on Talos and Sharkhead, just as we finished with Siege and Nightstar.

We all broke apart and then ran to our appropriate location and waited and waited at Sharkhead. Then we received an all clear notification. We were...annoyed.

Do we get global warnings for Hami invasions even if they're on other servers? Or did it bug?
  24. (Det. Dale Tracy is my MA/WP Scrapper, while she might play high-level content, her RP is mostly street level.)

Starting her day at 4 am was nothing new for Dale, in her line of work, early mornings and late nights were normal. Though she took that to extremes, rarely getting more than four hours sleep a night, she rarely seemed to show any sign of fatigue.

That seemed to be a lifetime ago. Before her precinct, and her home turned into absolute chaos. It wasn't that long ago, only about 72 hours...of course, that was 72 hours with no sleep at all, and lots of running, jumping, hiding and fighting. She had received the call to evacuate on the police radio, and could have it to the extraction points several times over, but she knew places that people would hide in, and how to get them out, places that Longbow wouldn't look in at first.

She mostly hid from the stone monsters, the Shivans. There was a small warehouse down the road that some gangs used as a hideout, not real gangs like the Skulls or Hellions or the Warriors, but groups nobody heard of. They'd be hiding there, if they were still alive. She made her way down the road, though it was less a road and more a rough concrete valley. As she did, there was at least one person heading the opposite direction, she turned a corner, and realized she'd made a big mistake. A Fortunata Mistress was looking right at her almost thirty yards away.

The Fortunata reacted quickly, and Dale felt her muscles stiffening, Dale didn't even blink as the Fortunata walked up to her casually and sifted through Dale's surface thoughts.

"Oh, my, this is a surprising bit of fortune, we could use a nice sleeper agent in the PPD. What do you have to say to that? Not that you've got a choice but..."

Dale's response wouldn't surprise anyone that knew her, but even the Fortunata didn't know her. A kick so fast that not even the mind-reader could have seen coming cracked the Fortunata's helmet and sent her flying. "No time for sleep" she says dryly in response to the Fortunata's "offer", before removing any weapons she can find on her and handcuffing her.

Dale pauses for a bit as she thinks about leaving the Fortunata here, helpless. Then she sighs resignedly as she wishes she weren't such a good person and throws the unconscious Widow over her shoulder.
  25. *thinks that Virtue might be the most ironically named server of all time...and that the irony just got more ironic.* I love Virtue (the server, not virtue)
