  1. As long as you can kill things fast enough, you're fine. I do farms with my sg on my spines/regen. We do 6 person battle maiden farms and I usually just go off on my own and murder everything before it dents my mitigationless health bar too much. If you plan to farm, I would strongly suggest picking body mastery power pool for that powersled attack. It is a good cone with a handy knockDOWN component.
  2. double telebooming on a scrapper would be awesome

    fire/fire

Spines dps isn't bad at all, and the slows help a lot. It was a while ago, so I dont have any screenshots. If I remember right, it was that sky raider guy from the faltline arc. He did mostly fire damage with his flame thrower. With double build up and a crit or two, a /fire scrapper will do loads of damage.

    fire/fire

It shouldn't take that much to solo AVs on fire/fire. On my spines/fire I was able to solo one or two AVs with just SOs. Also, fire will get even more out of /fire's build up and fire is less resisted than lethal. Just slot in a load of offense and then as much defense as you can get and you should be able to do a pretty good job with a minimal use of inspirations.
  5. You are missing that with granite, you can cap your resists and your defense.

    My stone tank

Well, I've just recently renewed my subscription and I want to try out my old stone tank, also my first character ever.
I don't have the exact info on the power order and slotting and such, but his current stats are as follows:
    Regen Rate: 1.56%/sec
    Recovery Rate: 2.59%/sec
    miserable speeds
    S/L resist: 90%
    fire/cold/nrg/neg nrg resist: 61%
    psi resist: 0%
    toxic resist: 81%

    melee/aoe/ranged/psi defense: 7.85%
    all other typed defenses: 39.22%

That seems pretty damn good, but I would love to squeeze some recharge and more recovery in there so that I can attack and taunt more effectively. Currently, my best attack is mudpots, lol. I also hear a lot about soft and hard caps for defense and resists. I seem to be capped on s/l resists but what are some ways I could reach the cap in defense and other resists?
  7. Wow, I got some SOs and better IOs and slotted more in the attacks. I'm at 33% melee defand 29% ranged. I was just able to solo an EB no problem. I can't wait to get more attacks and fill up that AoE hole
  8. Ahh, thank you. I knew I couldn't be completely right
  9. I was looking at all of the stats for scrapper primaries. Katana seemed to generally have the highest DPA and lowest recharge times with claws coming in as a close second. And with the massive +recovery from regen allowing me to slot more +recharge, I think a Katana/Regen would be able to achieve the highest dps.

Is there any reason why I'm wrong and could someone provide more accurate stats or late game data?
  10. It actually works pretty well. Go into a mission, get a huge mob around you, activate mudpots. Take a nap. And then when you come back, everything is dead.
  11. I slotted in more defense enhancements and put some endreds into my attacks. My hero is going quite strong now. What I've been doing for my attack chain is cranekicking the lt or boss down, then lining up as many minions as I can for sands of mu, then kicking everything till it dies. I also have to say how I love using both toggles all of the time. A lot of the early level foes seem to pull out their guns/wands/whatever from melee range, so having the extra ranged defense is proving quite useful.
  12. I went and bought as many defense DOs as I could. FF has 4 and fs has 3. I got a 6% increase in each power and it is really helping quite a lot. THanks for the advice
  13. Now I'm only level 13, but my new scrapper project, and MA/SR, seems ridiculously squishy compared to my other scrappers. SR is also eating through end like a wildfire. I know that with SOs I'll be able to reach 50%def at half the end price, which seems amazing. But what should I be doing in the mean time?

    My build so far
    1 - Storm Kick
    1 - Focused Fighting
    2 - Focused Senses
    4 - Agile
    6 - Hurdle
    8 - Crane Kick
    10 - Practiced Brawler
    12 - Combat Jumping

This is putting me at about 20% ranged defence and 15% melee defense. I have both of the toggles 6 slotted with endred DOs so end is alright now. It seem like I should be dodging a decent amout of attacks, but it seems like none at all.
  14. While my build idea is different from yours, I hope this helps. I go 100% blapper style, coming from scrappers and trollers where you have to herd a bit. I like to BU + AIM + RoF + breath + ball + fs circle, then spam blaze and fire sword on whatever is left. I often drop RoF and fire breath when I want to get up close faster. To kill a quant or void to help out the keld, for example. I haven't gotten either of the damage auras yet though, as I was buffing out all my attacks first, but with the amount of massive AoEs I'm pounding out and barely getting agro, I don't think the auras will hurt too much. They may actually redice the agro, by killing everything faster
  15. Go ahead and blapp. That what I do. My fire/fire i my current project and he's going strong at lvl 33. I respeced out of combustion because of the long animation, but firebreath from a distance, then fireball as you run up, then fireswordcircle in the middle, with fire sword and blaze to finish off the straglers. On a big team, everything is mostly dead by then. Another good tactic is pulling RoF, then doing the same thing, but this only works on a team, as RoF makes the baddies disperse, unless the tank has solid agro.

I haven't picked up blazing aura or hot feet yet for endurance reasons, but I plan to get them at 35 and 38 respectively.
I never use my level 1 immob power, or any kind of mez at all. Everything is much too dead for that.
  16. The whole character control argument is total bs. I've been playing a blaster with SS for a few weeks now, and when I get SBed, it brings me up to the speed cap of about 78mph. I can still control my guy fine. I also have a decently high level grav/kin troller. IMO, the only person that deserves to constantly ask about SB is a stone tank.

    Fire/Fire

I'm leveling up a fire/fire right now. What I use for the enhancments on my attacks is: 3dam and 1-2acc and either a endred or a recharge or both. It depends on the attack. For something with a high acc modifier like Blazing bolt, I'd go 3dam 1acc 2rech. But for a more end heavy power I'd just go 3dam 2 acc 1enred.

It also depends on your playstyle. If you need more speed, put some more echarge in them, but if you are constanly out of end, put more end reduction in them.
  18. How many targets were you using for spines? I was just playing one of my spines scrappers, and I was out preforming the claws scrapper on the team by far. I had an extremely easy time lining up my cones and AoE to hit huge amounts of baddies.
Using Spine Throw -> Ripper -> Spine Burst, as my attack chain, I had done about 400 damage to about 10 freaks in a few seconds, at level 42.

Ahh sorry for saying exactly what a few others said. I hadn't seen all of the pages yet.
  19. I would say that the cone from body mastery is also very nice, it does knockdown not knockback.
Nothings cooler than Power sled(or whatever)-->Throw spines--> spine burst--> where did all the bad guys go?, oh, there they are on the ground dead! ;D
