There's nothing 'wrong' with Defiant - it's that there's only one place for badges and TFs and such on Union, the badge channel, while on Defiant, there is, somewhat inexplicably, two such channels, Defiantbadgers and Defiant Events. The channel members are therefore divided, meaning each channel has half the members. That's why they're so comparatively quiet.

    Psychic Scream is rubbish, very low damage and slight too long activation, but it's the only AoE you get 'til 38, so it might be worth taking early and respecing out later.

    Psychic Shockwave, on the other hand, is fantastic, and once you have it you just wont use any other attacks.

  8. My only advice is 'pick something which can look after itself'. If an enemy's too tough for you, the stalker, and you placate them, guess who they're going after instead?

    I'd just like to thank Xanthus and the PDs for planning and running this, although it's amazing how many other people seem to have been responsible for it in retrospect.

    From my point of view (Trick Arrow), well, we had 2 of us and we didn't need 2, particularly with Qin and co SB-ing us. If we had a 2nd Dark def, that would have perfect (and sped the raid up quite a bit), but as long as we only have the one, I'm perfectly happy to cede the role to Cynic.

    You can only slot one of each set in a power once. I assumed you were talking about lotting Gift of the Ancients:Runspeed six times. If I misread you, sorry. You can, of course, slot different IOs from Gift of the Ancient into the same power. Just not the same one over and over again.

    If I didn't, well, that's just how inventions works.

    Note: You can only slot one in each defensive power. Also: You can only stack the bonus 5 times.

    Furthermore, I can't find my notes on it, but a 7.5% increase is slightly over 1 mph. You'll get a better rate of return 3 slotting Swift, if you haven't done so already.

    This is because it's in a defence set, right? No, it only enhances runspeed.

  13. Most TANCers couldn't give a fig for Hamidon, tragically, but they might think differently for the new one. I reckon we've got about 2-3 who'd be up for it. I certainly am, at any rate. I have, as always, approx. 1 bazillion toons at your disposal.

    There's a bar for the 3rd badge, but it keeps stopping/starting/resetting. However, it is just the bar that is bugged, all your heals are still recorded correctly.

    You have to build it (out of salvage) first, then place it. Then you just click on it and the option to buy them comes up. They're 100 inf each.

    You mean the increased Dom from being in a team? I can't remember the formula, but in a large team, you can easily get a full bar from nothing in 1-2 spawns. It's a whole lot easier just to fight normally than fiddle around with tricks like this. The only exception I can think of is if you're about to solo an boss/EB and have no Dom, in which case just slap a hold on a minion from the previous spawn and dance the brawl/psionic dart two-step on his head.

    Erm, probably not. I could get about 10% dom before I ran out of end with my snipe, so I imagine with 3 end reds, you'd get to 20% dom instead. Of course, the dom bar takes a while to clear, so you could easily let your end build back up and start again without losing much.

    Also of note - non-targeted AoEs such as Ice Sword Circle, Psychic Shockwave and Drain Psyche can also build up Dom, and are likely to cost less end.
  19. I don't have an EA brute (although I do have an EA stalker), but EA isn't considered too good due to it's low defence. I remember looking at Dr Rock's planner one time and discovering my stalker had only slightly more defence than a blaster. Elec, on the other hand, has decent resists, some good utility powers like Lightning Reflexes, and a really good tier 9 power. Of your two choices, I'd go /elec.

    As for fury, no, a taunt aura is nice but not necessary, but some sort of AoE attack would probably help with gaining aggro. As far as the attacks are concerned, it's best to take a couple of quick recharging powers to build up fury, before unleashing your slow big hitter. Brawl is good for this.

    I had one, then the other on my /elec brute for extended periods of time, and I say Aid Self. You don't get much benefit from Tough (it's only about 15% S/L resistance for brutes), and while it will help you go toe-to-toe with those purple bosses for longer, I found that if they were too hard for me, they were going to defeat me whether I had Tough or not. It's also quite end-heavy, particular with your other toggles running. Finally, it's some way off, but you wont need it at all when you get your hands on Power Surge.

    Aid Self, on the other hand, helps with every type of damage. Sure, it's tough to fire off in the middle of a battle, so slot some interrupts, but you really can't beat a self-heal for damage mitigation.
