Okay, I've wanted to try this for a while, so I've put together a build. Basically, I want advise on how to change this for early level leveling, so I can get through the teens and twenties relatively quickly.

So, for leveling up earlier, what sort of changes should I make? swap Air Sup in? Avoid stam and maybe take something else?(Sleep or psi scream etc).

Advice/thoughts please!

I would try and take hasten a lot faster, and maybe get accro a bit quicker as well, seems to be a lot of enemies with KB in CoV.

I agree with that.
Acro you want no later then lvl 30.
Ditch the leadership pool and take hasten asap. It's needed to get domination back in time for when you have a full bar. And that happens FAST

That leaves room for another nice attack or maybe team friendly recall friend. Stealth is also a very viable pick for a domi or take ss instead. The minor stealth works out most of times and a second travel power like ss is golden

And you might wanna think again about what patron you take. No need at all for powersink if you have both stam and drain psyche.
Also whatever patron you take; i'd recommend you take the shield no later then 44. Your domi needs all the protection he can get.

If I was interested purely in leveling doing missions, I'd do something like this up to 35 and then respeccing, slotting order is a bit screwy. I've found I don't need a travel power into the 20s because of the temp travel powers.

You need to maximise your AoE damage and you need stamina to keep going.

Get Psychic Scream, 6 slot it, no question an excellent AoE attack. Same goes for Psychic Wail (the level 38 power Im not sure if i can remember the name properly)

Incidently, I am finding these days that Hover does perfectly well as KB protection, with the advantage of far less end cost, a slight def bonus, requiring 1 less power, and the ability to hover out of mellee range. The only disadvantages are -fly powers (a pain, but not so much as one might think when your attackers are being held) and speed problems (again, not as bad as one might think with the hover base speed increase and swift bumping speed still further)

Add to that Hover also allows you to bypass several ground effects such as caltrops/ice slick/sandpit.

Im seriously begining to think that acrobatics is rather over-rated when it comes to KB protection when hover can do the job nearly as well.

(This only applies to PvE, not PvP of course where everyone and his uncle has a -fly power)

Well, 38 is a little far

I find that with Drain Psyche up I have the end to spam that and roots, which gives off some pretty good AoE damage, especially with domination.

Only up to lvl 37 on my plants/psi... but...

Get stamina at level 20... this really cant be delayed for any dominator IMO.

Depending on your playstyle and team, think about hasten to get domination up faster?

TK Thrust I found very skippable. Not sure why you are getting stealth either.

I chose Stealth because there was no other powers Or... I just didn't choose correctly.

I do find End an issue especially when I solo. I can burn all my End after fighting just four opoonents

Maybe a Dominator isn't for me...

I'm not too familiar with the Psionic Assault secondary, so I won't comment on that, but I'll try to offer some advice on the Plant Control primary and Soul Mastery PPP ...

01 => Strangler ==> Acc(1),Acc(3),Hold(5),Hold(7),Rech(7),Rech(9)

I skipped this one in favour of the single target Entangle immobilize power, but others find it quite useful I've heard.

08 => Seeds of Confusion ==> Acc(8),Acc(9),Confuse(15),Confuse(15),Rech(17),Rec h(23)

Very good.

18 => Vines ==> Acc(18),Acc(19),Hold(19),Hold(21),Rech(21),Rech(23 )

Good ...

26 => Carrion Creepers ==> Rech(26),Rech(27),Rech(27)

I chose to six-slot my Carrion Creepers with 2 Accuracies, 2 Slows, and 2 Recharges, (and 2 Immobilizes and 2 EndReds thanks to HO's,) but then again I didn't take the AoE Immobilize. Combined with Seeds of Confusion and ample use of AoE attacks they're quite useful for annihilating large spawns quickly.

32 => Fly Trap ==> Acc(32),Acc(33),Dam(33),Dam(33),Dam(34)

Again, good.


41 => Dark Consumption ==> Acc(41),Acc(42),EndMod(42),EndMod(42),Rech(43),Rec h(43)

This power has a stupidly long recharge, so this is probably the most optimal way of slotting it.

44 => Dark Embrace ==> DamRes(44),DamRes(45),DamRes(45),EndCost(45),EndCo st(46),EndCost(46)

Although this power is an endurance hog I think the slot for that third EndRed would be more useful somewhere else, since the benefit from a third EndRed -- in my experience -- is quite insignificant.

47 => Dark Obliteration ==> Acc(47),Acc(48),Dam(48),Dam(48),Dam(50)

For the love of all that is holy, do NOT take this power. Even when triple-slotted with Damage SO's it barely do any more damage than Brawl, and its DeBuff value is worthless in my opinion. Take the Fortunata Seer instead if you are to pick another power from the PPP, and slot her like your Fly Trap.


24 => Stamina ==> EndMod(24),EndMod(25),EndMod(25)

I would take Stamina at 20 if I were you ...

Some EndReds in your attacks would also be kinda neat if you can find some available slots for it.

I have no idea about Psionic Assault either And the animations are SO slow. Mental Blast: recharge: 4 seconds, casting time: forever. No wonder people call it the "last hit move".

Mental Blast has been recently patched. It is now a pretty decent attack chain - Im certainly not dissapointed with it with my Plants / Psi. Activation is about, or under 2 seconds. Dont beleive the myth its gimped - it was, it isnt now.

"Must Haves" in the set:

Drain Psyche for a marvellous end recovery power (and a regen scrapper feeling at times)

Psychic Wail - a marevellous AoE cone psionic damage. If you team a lot, you can end up outdamaging the stalker

Teir 9 power - I forget its name and Im one level away from it but from people i speak too and its description... its gotta be the "money shot" of the set...

Psionic Shockwave used to look like a Kin Transfusion or Transference aura, only purple.
