Totally agree, minus the voice acting. Just let me do that in my head.

Not to mention that "loves girl who rebuffs him" is the most common plotline in movies.

This is sad news, I was a big fan of the show as a kid. It kept me updated on what planets to look for and other interesting things in the night sky, and to this day I still look for constellations and planets whenever I get the chance.

Four passive powers is nice, since I'm not a fan of micro-managing my defenses. Three toggles isn't bad, especially since Invincibility isn't really needed when soloing (unless you've upped the difficulty), so it's not a big drain on Endurance. And when things go bad, you have Dull Pain. When things go really bad, you have Unstoppable.
Even without IOs, you're very tough to defeat. -
Pre-KO Blow, Inv/SS is definitely a slow-but-steady pace. One thing that is sometimes forgotten is Accuracy- nothing wastes Endurance and slows down a fight like missing! I slot heavily for Accuracy in the early levels, more than Damage. It only takes one fight against a Tsoo Sorcerer to find out why.

Quote:Log in. They got a meaningful buff.
How could Tankers be buffed in a meaningful way?
You're welcome. -
Who cares if the movie did badly? It doesn't need a sequel and, if it had a huge box office, would probably inspire a lot of similar-but-worse knock-offs. It got made and it was great.
Internet geeks were going to bash Michael Cera anyway, despite the fact that he played practically the opposite of George Michael, because they're just predictable that way. Let them miss out on a fun movie, who cares? -
Seeing the different crowds last night was pretty funny, especially all the women pouring out of Eat, Pray, Love. I must have counted about three guys.
My friend didn't know much about Scott Pilgrim, and when we sat down she looked around and said (jokingly), "Is this a nerd movie? Why didn't you warn me??" -
Online game servers everywhere must be quiet tonight- that was definitely the geekiest audience I've seen! Everyone loved the film though and cheered at the end.
The movie was a lot of fun, full of funny bits and great little details (one of my favourites was a sound effect from the 1980 Flash Gordon movie). I'm curious to see how it holds up to a second viewing. -

Question I've been meaning to throw out there about a CoH2: Would you prefer a sequel or a reboot?
Fans of the ingame lore would probably prefer a sequel that builds on the existing story, but I think I'd prefer a reboot. This game has a lot of great enemy groups and ideas, and I'd like new players to start right on the ground floor with them. Plus, re-using some story and mission ideas would help create a lot of content in a short time. -
Star Wars geek nitpick:
Quote:The "Episode IV" wasn't added until after Empire came out.Star Wars opened with a title sequence that announced it as Episode IV as a winking nod to the old serials, not a film franchise underway, Kurtz said.
As for Return of the Jedi- when I was a kid it was the greatest thing I had ever seen, my opinion now is irrelevant. -
I find the consensus score on Rotten Tomatoes is usually about right. Sometimes a little too high or a little too low, but it's rare that I completely disagree with it.

Quote:Inception is no Taxi Driver, and Uncle Scrooge is no Beetle Bailey. It's more like Raiders of the Lost Ark being inspired by Uncle Scrooge comics (because it was).
Think about it for a second. That's like saying Martin Scorsese's "Taxi Driver" was inspired by Beetle Bailey.
As already mentioned, entering dreams is nothing new. Dennis Quaid did it years ago. There's only so many stories, it's how to tell it that's important. -

Bruising helps low level Tanks solo- beating down Lts. and Bosses can get boring. For it to be stackable, the percent would probably have to be lower, which defeats the purpose.
Another little bonus is that Tankers get the best debuff numbers in Kinetic Melee. It's a move towards my idea of helping Tanks stand apart from the other melee ATs by giving them better secondary effects. (I'm not saying that's going to happen, just that I liked that little detail.)
Anyways- Issue 18: Tanks get even more powerful. -
It's like they're daring all the internet geeks who complain about Weezer to look at that face and gripe.
-
Without a doubt, Scott Pilgrim.

My inner child cried when the Jedi turned out to be a bunch of amateurs. The supposedly wise old Yoda has known about this prophecy for centuries, then at the last minute realizes, "Say, 'balance' is kind of open to interpretation, isn't it?"

Quote:Here ya go!Ya know, I found this old record drama. Called, iirc, "Battle for Ord Mantell". On vinyl and everything. Still haven't listened to it, but I should one of these days. >.<

Yogi sounds closer to Jackie Mason than Art Carney.

Quote:Don't run Tough when soloing, it's overkill. Invincibility is pretty optional, too.But here's the thing: I just don't do enough damage. I can't solo at all; it'd take me a million years to defeat the same mob by myself, and I tend to run out of endurance pretty quickly, even with a three-slotted Stamina and an end redux in all of my toggles and attacks. I mean, I'm running all three Inv toggles, plus Tough and Combat Jumping. With five toggles, a couple of Haymakers and KO blows, and I'm sucking wind...
Apart from that, Endurance really shouldn't be a problem, assuming you have your attacks decently slotted. -

I like the Impervium Armor set not just for the Psi defenses, but the Recovery and Endurance bonuses as well.
In total my main build has 17% Psi Defense and 30% Resistance from bonuses, which is nice. Psi Bosses used to be an issue, but aren't anymore. -
