Quote:That was a given. The other stuff was not IN CASE something good showed up (which it didn't). And you were updating *before* rednames. You could just, like, read the Community and Dev digests. The last Intrepid Informer article said Water Blast would be coming out today.
Don't try your distraction tactics on me -
Quote:For what it's worth -Thanks. I'll look in to that. Part of the problem I've decided is that I don't have enough time with this guy and don't have a feel for the AT and the powers. So I'm going to try to log some time with him and see where I'm at then.
Never played a support toon and it's verrrrrry different from what I'm used to.
- Use Wormhole as a main power. Especially with Kin. Use walls/corners. Be smart about it.
- Use the AoE Hold - It'll be up a lot
- With the latest changes, I like Dimensional shift. It's different, takes a little getting use to, but is VERY versatile. With the recharge difference between the AoE hold and this, you should never be without large groups shut down.
- All my trollers with an AoE Immob get respecc'd into using it at 50 and slotted with the 5x Immob Purple (1 being the Hold proc) and a Posi Dmg proc. With containment alone, the dmg is noticeable and especially the holds going off. With Kin, it'd be like a gold mine.
The damage changes were laughably overpowered; Kin will take that over the top.
I'm very proactive on my trollers, especially in the late game. My Grav/Storm is pretty fun for pure chaos just for the hell of it or it can be a complete area lock down.
I prefer ranged defense on everything that isn't in melee from the get go as I tend to be proactive and will aggro stuff however I want. They aren't touching me, then they are locked down, then melee attacks don't really matter.
And if you ever call a controller a support character again........ -
I no longer think my stupid/cliche name idea is the worst.

SOMEONE isn't keeping up on their game duties or we'd know by now

Quote:Oh yeah???The interesting thing about opossums is that they cannot be poisoned!
Well I'll have fun seeing if this is really true then!

Car tires are a type of poison, right? -
Quote:I still think it's kind of apropo....okay okay....my brain was on auto pilot when I typed in the title. Perhaps I should have gone with who is instead of whose....yes yes I know who's works too....
Those eyes? That mouth?
That *is* Furby's back. Just wait till you see his front!!!!! -
Posting for the hell of it as, I guess, I am (finally) techincally done with all available badges I can get without Dev-intervention sitting at 1396.
I have an excel sheet I made way back with Issue 2 and badge introduction that I've had the hardest time reconcilling with badge changes and CIT/ParagonWiki/badgehunter over the years, but I've at least got the one badge hunter's excel information to match the in-game count.
The last badge(s) needed was a PvP one I just didn't want to put off anymore. Pretty anticlimatic how easy it was. -

Quote:Facebook lol. That'd be why I haven't heard rumors of a date then. Will probably make another troller with Nature anyway; I still have no idea what to pair with Water blast. They said during Freedom Friday on Facebook that no release date has been announced for it yet.
What I am wondering is though... New Super Packs? That'd be nice.
I played with Water Blast for all of 10 minutes on Beta, and it looks like lots of fun.
New Super packs on Beta. I can't see those hitting before Nature, but what do I know. -
Any word if Nature Affinity is going Live on Tuesday as well?

Ranges from
Water Gun : Shoot in the face to -ToHit -Stun
Water Balloons : Targetted AoE Knockdown, +Wet Tshirt, Panic
Talk to the Fishes : Who cares as no one will take it due to inherent mockery
And the Tier 9 "Water Boarding" : Hold, Fear, Spill the beans, +Govt

Quote:I hope you image google'd thatI didn't even know that... about Chuck Berry.
Once again, Voo trumps everyone for sheer nastiness!
I doubt many people will really go scatological with the Water Blast powers, but you never know...
Hence the big push for Mud Slinging in Issue 25. It doesn't even make sense with water blast!
"Bloody Mary" on the other hand *shrug* -

It's like our new CoT mobs mated with the Avengers and that's what they spawned
They made Hawkeye actually look interesting at least.
For once.
In almost 50 years! -
Quote:Why do you think he's now interested in those types of names he's mentioned?
***Also. MG the fact that you checked if those names were available saddens me. That Voo has had such an impact on you over the years....Why, I remember all those years ago when that fresh faced kid first wandered into iso's. Full of youthful optimism and innocence. Ready with a smile and a List™ and now look what has happened...
After awhile, you kind of just like certain things.

This is on Union server? I'll be there!

I quit my obsession with collecting a long time ago........BECAUSE OF CRAZY, RANDOM, NONSENSICAL changes.
I'm pretty sure continuing that trend isn't going to get me to ever get back into the new stuff.
Have they ever tried a "classic" approach to a series? Can be modern times, but with the classic look and classic story telling? -
Quote:Aww you sound downYeah, there used to be a cool list, but nobody does that anymore.
"Whenever life gets you down,
keeps you wearing a frown,
and the gravy train has left you behind...
and when you're all out of hope,
down at the end of your rope,
and nobody's there to throw you a line...
If you ever get so low
that you don't know which way to go
come on and take a walk in my shoes...
Never worry 'bout a thing
got the world on a string
Cause I've got the cure for all of your blues........."

Quote:I don't know how I'm gonna tell you,
I can't play with you no more,
I don't know how I'm gonna do what mama told me,
My friend, the boy next door.
I can't believe what people saying,
You're gonna let your hair hang down,
I'm satisfied to sit here working all day long,
You're in the darker side of town.
And when I'm out I see you walking,
Why don't your eyes see me,
Could it be you've found another game to play,
What did mama say to me.
That's the way, oh,
That's the way it ought to be,
Yeah, yeah, mama say
That's the way it ought to stay.
And yesterday I saw you standing by the river,
And weren't those tears that filled your eyes,
And all the fish that lay in dirty water dying,
Had they got you hypnotized?
And yesterday I saw you kissing tiny flowers,
But all that lives is born to die.
And so I say to you that nothing really matters,
And all you do is stand and cry.
I don't know what to say about it,
When all you ears have turned away,
But now's the time to look and look again at what you see,
Is that the way it ought to stay?
That's the way...
That's the way it oughtta be
Oh don't you know now, mama said..
That's the way it's gonna stay, yeah. -
It's not bad at all. Far more replayable, IMO, than the Halloween house and the various invasions we have off and on. The IO set looks pretty damn good, so there is even more incentive to run it on a bunch of characters.
I was worried the Heist roles wouldn't be obvious or too complicated, but they are certainly easy enough and obviously laid out for you. I haven't done hitter yet, but theif has the "avoid the lasers" part where you have to kind of pay attention at least.
For the arena, badges are straight forward if you make a conscious effort to get them. Only "tip" I would suggest for others is to use that temp power that pops up once or twice during the thing so you can keep that favor meter up and get to the last AV.
And yes, I'll be doing these as much as I can stand for the time being to hopefully get a full set or 5. Still not sure if they will be sellable or not. -
