Haven't posted anything in a while.

This is my very first coloring with a Digital Tablet. I got to say, this is a hell of a lot easier then a mouse. All of my colors were done in one layer rather then several....love it.

I haven't seen issue 15 yet but...

I really miss the Blue King Comics. It had the CoH feel to it. The excitment of possibly seeing your character in the book made it all worth while, plus is had great art and a pretty decent story. After reading an issue I wanted to jump right into the game.

These comics now are really....poor to say the least. I have no idea what direction they are trying to go with this but. With a title "City of Heroes" you'd think they'd feature at least ONE cameo in every issue. And I'm not talking about being a blob in the background.

I'll still submit my fanart though, even though I feel kinda let down with each issue.

They seem to have lost what CoH is all about. In all honesty unless they want to put some kind of effort into it I'd suggest just canceling it.

After nearly two years of playing this game I figure it's long overdue that I start on a comic based around my handle/main character.

Veikira is a concept I've had for nearly a decade. The comic will have many of my own ideas from long ago mixed with the CoH/V universe.

The first issue I'm hoping to have released by December.

I know exactly how you feel Lush, it's like you were just rapped.. It's sickening to have your work claimed by someone else. Even just an edit with out your permission.

I used to do random art for people. Until one person decided to claim my work as theirs and even got it into the fanart section in the comic (This was Section-8) Funny thing is. My Placid art was right beside it. Nothing I could do about it. I still want to do random art, but I'm still a bit hesitant about it.

I've had my signatures digitally removed and someone placed theirs were mine once was.

I don't even upload art anymore on Deviant without putting a big [censored] Watermark over it. Which seriously sucks because it ruins it.

I've confronted people stealing my work.

And I've had others flame a person for stealing my work. (I didn't sick anyone on a person, they recognized my work and had the person banned from their forum)

It really sucks. But it does happen. Luckily often enough people do get caught and legal action is something we have to fight them back.

It's just one price we pay for showcasing what we love to do.

I've had requests threw Deviant for people to use my art for wallpapers and what not, I'm very cool about that, Hell I tell them that "As long as I get to see it." When people send me notes to study a pose and draw from it, I reply "As Long as I get to see it." I mean I'm very open about people using my art for those type of things, Because they asked me, they asked for my permission.

I'll stop. I can go on for pages about this.

It works fine for me.

If what your drawing becomes a task rather than something you're enthusiastic about...stop drawing, rest up, and start up again when your pumped about your project.

Don't expect to be like Gill, Jedi, CB, or Juggs right away. It takes time. And in time, you will get better.

Post your art for some critisism. You don't have to follow all of them, but anything that makes sence to you, work on it.

Mess with a few other mediums. Paints, Color pencils, Digital (Photoshop, Paint SHop Pro...ext...)

Man that's awesome. I love your style and I love your watercolors (that's your medium right?). I look forward to seeing the next update/work by you.

Every last line and shading is done with my lasso+brush. Aside from my initial sketch. I'm sure there are easier ways, but this is how I've been doing it.

What!? Not actually drawing? And it's just as easy with a tablet? Um, heh. No.

I dont use tutorials, never have.

I use my lasso by drawing a shape with it then filling it in with my brush. It's a lot of work, but it's something I found that gives me clean lines.

I love your colors. A very silky soft like look to them. And the aura effects are amazing.
