Quote:I was thinking in terms of per server, not globally available, hence my confusion.Of course they do.
But if your solution to the fact we get 1/6th the amount of free slots the US do is "Give NCSoft even more money for the privilige of a few more" it's not exactly a fair and equitable solution now is it?
I'm not proposing a solution to anything. Hell, I'm all for merging the server lists.
Carry on. -

Quote:Bolding mine. Honestly, it made no sense then, it makes less than no sense with GR on the horizon. For the people that can't get past RP on their heroes, the Devs could put a market interface in Striga. Just add another "Smuggler".Not only that, but the good stuff is, for the most part, more expensive Villainside.
Smurphy posted this in this thread:
It's really bad below level 50. Villains have a horrible supply of pre-50 items.
It's been like this for a long time. The notion that Villains will suffer from a merger boggles my mind after playing both sides, and being able to outfit my heroes for less, and in less time.
I know, the market is blind, but... -
I hope they are giving free slots with this expansion, even if only two(one for each new powerset).

Yeah, last nights SF runs were pretty lame.
Please fix. -
Interesting idea, but you would run into snags with robotics. I cannot see the bots using pistols maybe bullets from their existing gun ports would work, and even though the assault bot is a little aggro happy, I just can't see it using the melee moves of the bruiser.
Then you run into the Bots powers themselves, just think of an Oni wearing the Assault bot's Rocket launchers?
Ninja Bots using stars and swords, seems a little out there. Nice idea, but implementation would make BAB REALLY hate Villains. -
Quote:In the Q&A at the end of the keynotes, someone asked about supergroups and side switching. Posi's answer basically boiled down to "We haven't decided what we're doing yet, because we want a solution that everybody will be happy with."
That's funny. I'm sure he knows that no matter what they do, someone will find a reason to complain. -
But, he knows who it came from and had a chance to call you a doo-doo head back. Rep comments are anonymous PM's basically. You don't get a chance to fight back. That's my problem with the system. Seriously, I would arrange some serious neg rep carpet bombing if I knew who the Portector stalker was. Just for the hell of it, since it's a game and all. A game that only one side gets to play is not fair. It should go.

Quote:It's more like being annoyed. There is some little troll that has been stalking the Protector forum for quite a while now. It started with one starring every thread until five star threads dropped to one. We stopped starring threads in the end. It now moves onto tags and -rep. The trolls will dig up a random post and neg rep almost everyone. For instance, there is a post about reviving an old coalition, everyone that has posted in the thread has gotten neg rep just because they posted. I personally have gotten neg rep because my "server is offensive", because CO is a "waste" (like I designed the game or something), and my favorite was for being an "exploiting cross posting n00b" because I pointed people on my server to a patch note. Now because of the warning, I am sure that these unloved children will continue but without comment. If people actually feel griefed by one red bubble, they should consider the fact that green bubbles are worth maybe twice as much rep when given. Take a look at how many people have red rep....it's that easy to turn someone from red to green. I've been bouncing them back daily.

Congrats to all of the winners.

Quote:gotcha.I believe the reference is to the old star system that allowed you to "star" individual posters. That system was removed. They left in the ability to "star" threads, however.
I still think that if your forum handle was tied to any and everything that you do on the forums, we wouldn't be seeing the junk that we do now. A lot of the tags that pop up are just as bad as the anonymous neg rep comments. I think that now the griefers will just neg rep without comment, happy in their anonymity. So I guess that moves me into the turn them off camp. -

I am happy that they are attempting to do something about it. Personally, I wish they could just the anonymity so that I would know who my Cyber Stalker is.

You could always make a pet-less thug/pain MM, and be a gimpy empath.

Quote:One assumes that you are ejected from your villain SG when you become a hero, or at least when you join a hero SG. The database structure will dictate what's possible: if the character has the database ID for the SG stored in the character record, then it's impossible to be in multiple SGs. If there's a third relational table that links the character ID to the SG ID, then it's possible to be in multiple SGs if the database rules allow it.
One also assumes that any bids or items you have for sale on the black market will either be refunded or lost. Although I guess there's no real reason why bids and items couldn't just stay on the villain market until the day you returned.
These are all policies the devs will have to work out.
um, no one said anything about joining another SG. If I take a Villain down the Hero path, and want to work as a double agent or go full Hero, will the character be expelled from it's existing SG. I would hope not, but you never know. -
Quick question.
If one does decide to fully travel the path to the other side, what happens to their SG status? -
My Solo SG is called "Rogue Heroes". They will all be turning to the dark side.

Quote:That's pretty much been my experienceExactly like the old forums. A lot of the time they're fast and responsive, but sometimes EVERYTHING stops loading and page loads just hang around for a couple of minutes, or until they time out. In the meantime, I can still load other sites just fine, but I have to wait for the forums to wake up. Exactly like the old forums, indeed. So what did the changeover fix, then?

Quote:Hey, I got rose because CO is a "waste". Go figure.I've played Lego Star Wars, hours of good fun.
On a side note, I have to laugh at the rocket scientist who, in a message to me, claimed that all the games I listed above are "weak games". Seriously, you made me chuckle.
Oh yeah, Lego Indiana Jones and Star Wars are fun as heck. -
An awesome time waster.
I just wish that the PSP had a second set of shoulder buttons like the dual shock controller, then I would be able to use a manual ******. I dislike the shifting using up and down.
