  1. This was totally unexpected.

Thank you. Maybe I can get the holiday badges on my Victory and Freedom Toons now.

    Thank You.
  2. What is truly "Evil" in CoV? The only thing I can think of is the Drop off hostages to Vhazilok story, and Maybe Phipps arc. Other than that you are a Merc.

Other than that, you never kill civilians, you can never hurt them. You don't even harm hostages, but the critters can, so you end up protecting them.

Thanks for all the great SF runs! See you all next year!

Sorry about that, had to take my brother home.
  4. I had planned on entering Terror Watt, but I have been informed that I will not be around on the 18th.

    Maybe next year.

Can anyone suggest a good defragmentation application? The one built into XP is kinda lacking.

    Thanks in advance.
  6. I play on Protector because I Love Garcia Vega!

I picked up and moved to Freedom with my Girlfriend and Kids a while back. I stayed there for almost a year, but ran into way too many clueless people, noobs, jerks, too many Masterminds with NO pet control at all and horrid lag. I still have a Hero and Villain SG's and a couple of 50's there. I raised Mount Vega and Dam Skippy there, I was a part of the UJL, I learned a few PvP things with them and enjoyed myself until the infamous "Cape Crash" bug that made me take a little break. When I returned, I was dying to play my Rad. For some reason, I never wanted to make another one, so you guys got stuck with me.

Protector is where I started, and where I will be staying until I run out of character slots, or until the GF makes me quit.

    I am befuddled...
I just haven't decided who to enter yet, will most likely be male.

    1) Magic Pack. Not only does this have parts I use on almost every character, but it has a useful power included with it. I use the long gloves and bolero very frequently, and I get a lot of use out of the high collar cape.
Agreed this is a nice pack. The clipping that happens with these costume pieces actually looks cool. My only regret is that I didn't grab my bat wings soon enough, and I miss the double cape.

    2) Martial Arts Pack. Most of the joy of this one goes to NR. Not only is it fun and flashy, but I've respecced a high-end toon to rely on it, made a new toon who relies on it, and have already planned to rely on it for my DP toon come GR. The costume parts too are pretty good. I get use out of the shoulderpads and have used most of the others, including the swords.*
The clipping on this pack really should not have happened, All it would have taken is ONE character made with sleeveless robes to see how your chest emblem gets eaten by the robe, and the shoulder pads meant to go with the robe are in between the fibers of the sleeve in some places on top in others, and below in others. When you color the robe the Trim color matches nothing else in game, because it blends with the main color unless you select "fire". The shoulder area of the sleeveless robe is sitting higher than that of the sleeved robe (which causes the clipping) and the Tee Shirt area is out of whack. If you really look at it, you will see where there is a section that is backward.

    3) Bridal Pack. Oddly enough I use this one a ton. Lots of people skip it or say it has too little stuff to be worth $9.99. Heck, even I don't use the tuxedo or the veil. But the female patterns are too good to pass up, being some of the only detailed tops and bottoms you can get. Not to mention they go great with some of the other costumes, especially the Magic Pack.
    no comment, don't have it.

    Quote:
    4) Valkyrie Pack. I have a valkyrie character, but I find most of the new parts way too gaudy to use. I also hate the big bulbous joints. I do however get a lot of use out of the small shoulderpads, as well as the belt, sword, and in a couple instances the headwings. I occasionally get use out of the mission teleporter when the game wants me to go to Dark Astoria or Mercy.
In my opinion the best pack released. The costume pieces blend well with others there is no real bad clipping, and the power is useful. The fact that the shoulder pads are ugly as sin is another story

    Quote:
    5) Cyborg Pack. I don't have any robot or cyborg parts, so basically the ONLY use I get out of this pack is the shoulderpads and very rare use of the power, which I tend to use more as a travel power than anything else. I think I've used the belt once or twice, and I may have used some other parts for AE units. But very sparingly.
Love this one too(my characters are mostly Tech Origin). No clipping, parts blend well with other pieces, useful power.

    Quote:
    6) Mad Scientist Pack. The ONLY use I've gotten out of this is occasional use of the scale changes. I don't even use it dramatically; I don't play male toons, and going from female to huge is just too weird (especially cause of the voice). I've only used it to make my scales more uniform. And I've never once used a single costume part. They're all too bland, and there aren't even that many of them.
This one is Okay. I use it mostly for the goggles.

It hasn't happened with other boosters?
Not like this. Especially when you add in the broken wristed run animations (that have been fixed). That does not mean that it is acceptable to everyone. All I am saying is that the quality of the Ninja Booster is lower than that of the others. I still bought it, am happy with it, and will use what I can that doesn't get me frustrated.

    Quote:
And the few major issues there are with the Martial Arts pack are still being looked at, so it's not as if they don't care and don't intend to change them because "ha ha you already paid!"
I am fine with waiting for it to be fixed because I have confidence that they will. I have my costume saved so that when/if Jay gets around to fixing it(so busy with GR and all), that I can load it up recolor and go.

I still think that this pack could have waited for release though.

  16. The OP has a point. This booster does seem rushed and incomplete compared to the others. Why are you guys throwing mud on someone who is dissatisfied with a purchase?

I love the Ninja Run, and the costume concepts. But, as soon as you start mixing a matching, you notice some horrid clipping. This has not happened with any of the other paid for boosters. Pieces released for free are one thing, but things that carry an additional charge should be held to a higher standard in my opinion.

Seriously, they should have waited or beta tested this one first.

  18. I think Defenders will become a rarity. Not because demand would be down, but because Corruptors do more damage, so it would make those solo times less tedious.

Overall, I do not see much of a change from your typical Co-op zone team. But, then again, I am primarily a red side player. There's not as much AT prejudice red side as blue. We take whoever we can to fill the team. Heroes not so much, too many have to have that "holy trinity" to do anything.
  19. The Banner at the top of the screen no longer takes me back to the forums. It takes me to the main page

    I am happy!

I saw this and laughed so hard. Sorry vills but apparently devs hate you.
It's a known issue because this was a PLAYTEST. I'm sure that it will be fixed. I'm sure that they had their datamining on overdrive last night to make sure that it is working the way that they want it to. It's coming down today,so consider last night a head start and relax.

After a day, I got an email from support stating that they wanted to verify that I am the account holder... which seems rather odd. I was signed into my account when I sent the petition, who else could it be? Below are the contents of the email:

    "Thanks for contacting NCsoft Support.

At this time we need to verify that this is indeed your account. Please provide as much of the following information as you can:

-- What first and last name did you use when you created the account?
-- What physical address did you use when you created the account?
-- What date of birth did you use when you created the account?
-- What are the 20-digit serial codes for all games you added to the account?
-- What is the Unique Account ID for all the game accounts you added to the account? (This was sent to you via e-mail on the date your game account was activated with a subject header of 'Game Account Activated'.)
-- What are the last 4 digits of the credit card or the 20-digit game time code originally used to activate the account?

We look forward to assisting you. "

I have not yet responded. Why should I have to answer these questions to get my veteran rewards? My account was created on 2-27-07, and my 30-month reward was given on August 26, 2009, with no lapse in service. This is kind of fishy. I'm not saying it's not an official email, because obviously it had my in-game petition information. But why should I have to go through this?

That's really weird. Did you perhaps change email addresses? Maybe they are trying to crack down on purchased accounts.

I hope you get your badge.
  22. IF they put the lock back on the zone so that sub 35's cannot enter, what happens when there are a bunch of dead 35 laying about during a ship raid instead of level 4's? Will that make things better?

    Leeching is leeching.
  23. Let's try that again (some of these numbers are rough estimates)

    Account 1 720 in subscription
    Account 2 660 in subscription

    Two Pre-Orders 15 each =30
    Twelve Boosters 10 each =120
    Two GVE editions =60
    Three Server Transfers
Four Five packs of Costume slots =80

Video Card on old machine =150
Sound Card on old machine =100
    RAM in old machine =80

so it's approximately 2,000 over four years.
