What I was trying to get across, but easier to understand...
  2. I had a really big long post about how the citadel could possibly be at the edge of time or in a 5th dimesion where time is irrelevent and thus when in this place all timelines past, present, future, alterenate, finshed or ongoing occur at once, and that we are trying to save at least one timeline by preparing it sufficently to deal with the thing that eventually ruins destroys the galaxy, and how mender silos using the carbon law is now also exempt from the timelines being absobed into all time itself therefore making it possible (using this fictional law) to find or create such a place like the citadel, but it got really long and headahcey.
  3. [ QUOTE ]
The time jumping is overseen by the Ouroboros. Although in game, they allow us to go wherever we want, one could argue that they also police the time stream and would therefore prevent people from going back for trivial purposes or to 'erase' people from existence.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I never really saw it as that, I saw it as things in our past have been messed up even to the point where things we accomplished and the people we accomplished them with were different then how they have played out now. For instance, while at this moment I have not done the Tiki scroll arc, I SHOULD have done it (or the timestream would have been better off if I did or did it differnently), either by myself or with certain people in order to correct time or fix it so we are better prepare for the "coming storm" (like in heroes they prevented sylar from gainng regen in the past but peter becomes the bomb so they flashback again to redo it this time saving the world), therefore they send me back in time to fix it so I do the right way, or the way it needs to occur in order for the "storm" to be conquered.

    If you can understand that.
  4. Actually isn't that what the carbon law is partially about? If you go to far past your tether you seperate yourself from your native timelines and begin seeing other timelines or become unaffect by changes?
  5. We disscussed this on the militia forumns, too and originally we thought it would be a problem because of Rp-tools going back and god-moding the past. But after you play the Time Travel missions, you learn you can't just time travel willy nilly, they have to send you back to a point in time you choose, and if you do mess up, they will simple mend it, or cancel out that event (headaches begin). An RP-tool can come up to you and say "HA! I will go back in time and erase you!", simply reply "Yeah right like the menders would allow that.. pfft" or "Stupid stupid man.. time travel is immpossible" hding the secret altogether.

I think it's possible for them to do this, because they apparently exist in A) A dimesion or THE dimesion where time is static or seperate completly from all other timestreams, b) AT some where like the begining or end of time?

One thing I have noticed (Conspriacy forming!) is that while it appears you are going back in time to "mend" things, because the events are not playing out exactly, or like a looping paradox (Where you HAD to go back in time to stop the person BEFORE he corrupted time) that Maybe the great Mender Silos is mending things as he sees fit, slightly altering time to he sees fits but no so drastically as to destroy time itself...
  6. With the new weapon choices and time travel coming to paragon offically, I was wondering if anyone else is gonna make future/past alts or costumes? For instance if your an archer, a longbow, a hood and the folded gloves and maybe you recently were sent to the past? Broadsword? Tights plus panels and tech sword, the menders sent you to the future!

Or maybe an atlernate time line of yourself all together!

Just trying to see the cool little things we can do with time travel
  7. Double imperivum katana on one cossie and double fantasy swords on the other. Don't know about the other three cossies. Flipping a coin between SR or Willpower.
  8. Hmm seeing as it probably takes alot of willpower to be a reporter, maybe as someone suggested a MA but willpower Stalker? Or even a Ma/Will scrapper as you could take stealth and invis as you don't need stamina.

Or a willpower/Warmace Tank with a baseball bat!
  9. Twilight Shinobi was annoyed. In his mind the TLF was disbanded when The Hatesman failed to show up for months. WHat right did the andriod have summoning him? Still he teleported silently throught the shadows. Arriving at the location TRACOR-005 gave him, he ported into view slowly decloaking.

"Welcome and thank you for arriving so quickly" the android said. Twilight rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah dumbbot, what's the story? I got things to do. What right do you got calling me in?" TRACOR looked at the man. He was not in his usual ninja uniform. Wearing a simple brown leather jacket, baggy jeans and white running shoes that looked brand new. And as always he was carrying the fabled and cursed Muramasa ninjaken on his back, and his disturbingly blood red eyes. "I need to conduct a test of sorts, and I need your help." Twilight raised an eyebrow at his former superior. "Why do you need me?" The robot gave him a fake, cold smile. "I require the presence of someone with either vast magical powers, or an equally powerful magical artifact in their possession, such as yourself." Twilight reached for his sword slowly, asking ," Why?" The machine answered by throwing a punch that could level a building. In twilights eyes, it was slow and easiler avoided. Quickly turning, he drew the legendary blade, cutting throught the androids imperivum/proto-steel composite armor that had withstood nuclear bombardment. It magical resistant properities showing, as Twilight struggled slightly. The cut was quick and precise, as TRACOR knew it would be, cleanly taking off his hand. The shinobi made a quick spin, placing the blade on the robots neck.

"That was stupid robot, not even your armor can dampen my blade enough to block it fully...", " I know, but I wonder if it will be so easy now..." TRACOR interrupted, blowing out a steamy red mist from his mouth. Twilight withdrew, coughing violently. "What did you just spray me with?!?" he yelled. Taking his sword once again he tried to cut TRACOR in half. PING, the sword wacked the robot on it's head, but did not pierce it. "What the hell?" Twilight said in shock, as the blood red color from his eyes slowly faded. "Test successful, data recorded, informing Battle Unit Omega..." he said smacking the depowered shinobi, knocking throught the adjacent wall.
  10. ((Sorry guys no access to a comp for awhile but I am back I'll continue from my point of view as well))
  11. I thik your talking abour the extreme of the word vigilante. I think finn was more on about wolervine/manticore type heroes, where they are not afraid to hurt, torture or kill villains, esstentailly "Get the job done." Remember a vigilante is someone who takes the law into their own hands, and there are different variations on that, just like there different varitations of heroes.

Punisher is the extreme, he kills any criminals
  12. Again teh hero registration act gives us the privilages and the limits of a police offcier, in my mind that includes killing in self defence, or else me thinks a certain archer would be locked up (Seeing as the comics have now offically become canon)
  13. If you read some of the police contacts info tho, they seem to boarder line on vigilante/hollywood style cop aswell. Logically tho, if you were in a town full super-powered crime, vigilantes would probably be somewhat norm and accpeted because they "get the job done". IF you daughter was [censored] or mugged by an outcast, I saved your life but killed the outcast in the fight, I'm sure you wouldn't say "Your a bad example to society." And vigiliante doesn't always mean kill. Batman in many incarnations was a vigilante or anti-hero, because he beats and tortures some criminals or near kills them, yet the police still use him, because he gets the job done when no one else can.

Think about the real life situation. Your town is overrun with chavs that harrass people in daylight on the streets. I come along with some friends and beat the crud outta them, breaking up there crack houses and stopping violence on you and yours, when the police can't, maybe few of the scum die whilst I'm saving people or in self-defense, are you gonna say "Your such a bad example, you such be out in jail" or "Thank you, I feel safe to walk the streets again in my neighbour hood." A real life vigilante lives in my town of bolton. A champion kick-boxer Sandy Holt has taken the law into his hands many times, 7 times I think infact, stopping muggings and the such. He's still walks the streets and is considered a hero.

I always believe there is a fine line between anti-hero/noble villain and true villain. Also remember that the super hero registration act gives us the same restrictions as cops, which means we can also defend ourselves and others with deadly force if deemed nesseccary. ALso it's unfair to RPers who don't enjoy playing "Big boy scouts" to be singled out just because they like batman or wolverine instead of superman or capt america.

IMHO, the darker grittier batman, wyvern or manticore is fine, and welcomed. Punisher is taking things to far.

So Finn you making this SG, then.. you got one member
  14. TRACOR looked around the large warehouse. One sentence was all TRACOr ever used to described Battle Unit Omega, and again he felt it nesseccary. "Crude looking, but no doubt extremely effective." TRACOR stared at the girl analysing her. "Cybernetics? This unit was not aware you were capable of such things..." he said turning his attention to his teammate, " Greetings, I have the sample, and my benefactors have authorised my services in your protection aswell. I also bring a modified version of the virus. It is like you crude but effective, I will use it as a demonstration. Provided you are able to adhere to a few ground rules." The speech almost seemed pre-recorded, as if the benefactors had told the machine exactly what they wanted him to say. "Number one, you will allow this unit to first carry out a quick specimen gathering operation before the infection of the global meta-human population. Number 2 you wil provide assistance, in any form, to help this unit procure data on the 9th and 10th generation crey paragon protector cloning proceedures." He looked at the little girl then the robots in the room, as if he was calculating his odds of defeating them all or sabotaging the virus should the robots decide to refuse his offer. "If this is acceptable then I will proceed with a demonstration of the new virus strain, it is not as effect as your own, but can be used as a template to adapt your for supernatural meta-human targets."
  15. I wanna say on behave of my teammates, that I was/am/might be partly to blame for this imagine. A misunderstanding took place where my VILLAIN Twilight Shinobi was associated with the Militia, even tho I stated he was a TLF.

I'd love to join a anti-hero/noble villain group tho as many of my characters end up thuis way...
  16. ooooo ouch.. that was uncalled for...
  17. "I will arrive at your location shortly. I offer my serivces of protection aswell as the sample, provided the Battle Unit Omega is willing to compromise it's plan slightly to accommendate our own. I have locked on your location via your TLF communicator. TRACOR out."

The little girl stood beside him, terrified of the machine. "Please mister, can I go home now." The robot gave the girl one quick glance and a nod before leaping into the air and landing several feet away with such force, it left an indentation of his feet.He continued this pattern of leaping and landing for sometime.

He arrived at BUO's base of operations within a few hours. Opening the door he walked inside and began looking for his fellow robotic teammate.
  18. TRACOR stood over the body of the many longbow recruits in their newly established based near Paragon. They had been protecting a very special person, a person who had genetically adapted to cancel out the effects of magic on her person. Curses and spells had no effect on her, scientist called it a "supernatural adaptation" or magical evolution. Whatever it was, TRACOR needed this girls blood sample.

he entered the next room, pulling apart the reinforced doors as if they were cardboard. A lone squad stood in fornt of the frighten girl. he was trying to hide in the corner of the room, protected personally by the Ballista's force field. The green skinned agent looked at the machine in shock. TRACOR was using the guise of a small boy wear ripped jeans, a new yankees baseball jersey, and a matching backwards baseball cap. The machine scanned the room, 7 agents, 2 of them longbow officers, 3 carrying mini guns, the Ballista and a longbow tanker.

"Please hand over the girl and no harm will befall you," TRACOR asked politely. The agents looked at each other still in shock such a small boy could do so much.

"OPEN FIRE," the lead officer shouted. A hail of armor piercing bullets rained apon the small boy, but with no affect. They merely delected off him as he slowly walked foreward. The tanker charge at him fists flying. The boy caught them, snapping the tanks arms like a twig and tossing him at the mini gunners. The longbow officers let loose a barriage of grenandes at the robots frame, until the room was covered in debris and smoke. Out the of the smoke a hand gripped the first officer, her head popping off with the force of the crushing hand. The other was hit was such force, it was as she was there on second and then gone, the only trace was the multiple holes in the walls.

TRACOR walked up to the Ballistas force field, hitting it with such force it flicked, as blood ran down the Ballistas nose from the stress. After a series of blow the force field still held. TRACOR changed tactics, scanning the shield, he looked for any flucuations in it. "Upper right quadrent," he spoke to himself. Disengaging his strength supressors, he let out one might blow that shook the room. The Ballista fell to the ground blood streaming from his eyes, ears, and nose. The girl stared at him, "please ... please don't hurt me ..." she pleaded. " I merely need a small sample of DNA, there is no need for alarm," TRACOR comforted her, as a small needle came out his finger tip. "Sample aquired... objective complete.. second objective contact Batlle Unit Omega, to adapt virus towards magically inclined meta-humans...," TRACOR reached for his TLF communicator. "Battle Unit Omega, come in.. I have the answer to the problem with your virus. Infection potential now over 50% of all meta-humans possible... where should we meet?"
  19. TRACOR-005 was not having the best of days. He had picked out a perfect specimen for his benefactors pet project, battled the nearly invulnerable brute, subdued and take him back to base. Only to find out he was infected with his fellow teammate, Battle Unit Omega's, virus, which in turn quickly spread and infected the other specimen and samples stored in the immediate vicinity. TRACOR's benefactors were not please to say the least. They felt it was time he rejoin the Hatesmans ragtag group of villains. Originally now sent to destroy Battle Unit Omega, and it's virus, they had come up with an interesting compromise. TRACOR's logs had shown the machine to hate magically enhanced metahumans, they also knew from studying the machines virus it was yet to solve the problem of affecting these same metahumans. Equally finding these group of meta humans more of an annoyance, they decided to see if they could persuaded the machine to change it's targets. With that TRACOR was sent out to find the robot with a simple message, Problem sovled....
  20. ((Three questions and a statement. Hey BUO it's me twilight i'm back! Ok now the questions. 1, can i join. 2, how does the virus effect magically enhanced humans. 3, Does it affect second/third/fourth generation or mutants born with their powers?

Just a suggestion an easier way to have people understand the power level system would be to have them ranked by class of metahuman. Such as...

1- Below Average ( A chav's fighting skills are below average)
    2- average
3- Above average ( Tim Drake as Robin has above average Martial Arts skills)
4- Olympic level ( Green Arrow has olympic level archer skills)
5- Peak human level ( Captian america is the peak of human development)
6- Enhanced Human (Spider-man has enhanced human strength in the ten ton range)
7- Super Human ( Wolverine can regenerate at superhuman levels)
8- Legendary ( Professor X's mental powers are legendary)
9- Monstrous ( The Hulks strength and durability is monstrous)
10- Demi god, Godly ( Zeus is godly)

This is much easier for it yes.

One supporter! My many gripe is that Fanstic excellent and the such is different compare to everyone's views. However most people have an idea what Olympic level means, or if their fortitude is that of a fighting man (Above to Peak) or a meta human (Enhanced to legendary-ish). I might think "Yeah my fortitude is quite brillant!" when I can dodge bullets and give it an 8 while some else thinks the same when they can resist a nuclear blast.
  22. Those were just examples besides three of those characters were DC ones you could use CoH characters if you want, but i feel the current system is a bit vague, leading to people over or under powered beacuse they aren't sure what it means exactly. Using terms like Olympic level and or ehanced human might help as they are more defined. Most non metas would now be above, olympic, or peak, but gives you a better idea of their truer RP power. However this is a suggestion and the finally say is yours and zortel. However if alot of people find this way easier, I think it would be wise to use it no?
