Unfortunately, the forum used by the players with associations to The Militia has died due to a server failure with the host company.

Until they get it bak up and running again (or failing that, until we move to a new home), can I suggest that important OOC notices between Militia players and associates be posted on this therad so that at least we aren't all completely in the dark!

Apologies to everyone else!

Brit - Thanks mate!

Pious - No idea. Hopefully he'll be checking out this forum once the house move is over and realise that the Militia forum is broke.

Since it's here...

Ghost, did you get my reply to your PM before everything fell apart? I'm not sure whether it really sent, as I can't log into my real account anymore. I can send you the essence of it on here if you want.

I posted this on the Plot RP section shortly before it disappeared, so to reiterate: Wavekite is still in hospital after the Terra Volta saga.

And, I think that's all I've got.

Knights Exemplar: Wolfram, Autumnfox, Starlit Spirit.
Militia: The Portent, Wavekite, Mr. Sandman.
The Cadre: WarpLocke, Zajin.

I'll recap as well, Sabrina and Hayate have moved into one of the expensive apartments high up at Jay's Building. She is in there most of the time, if not at the nightclub. I believe also, when Hayate is not in there, he's working for Central Intelligence. Their babies are due early November.

The collapse of the forum coincided with the planned launch of "operation Mary-Sue", the daring plot to rescue Lady Cobra and Jessica from Chang's Nerva jungle compound.

Instead, I will try to do a more limited version - with Coile's permission (still to be formally obtained ) using the ST-forum.

The operation will take place chronologically this next Friday night and will be purely forum-based. Since I am away on Friday-Sunday, the actual stories will be written (before and) after, but as mentioned be deemed to take place Friday night.

Plan is still to use 3 or (if still available - the forum break down has made communication awkward) 4 teams. As mentioned before the forum-wipe, blue-prints of the compound are available.

A team led by Coile and Star Crusader will have the objective of securing the main security and video surveillance room. Once this objective has been accomplished, this team should proceed to support the team responsible for securing Cobra.

If available, another team consisting of Juni with back-up from Tyger and Amber Banshee should attempt to hack Chang's security systems (cameras, alarms, mechanical traps etc.) once the surveillance room has been secured. If accomplished, this would facilitate the getaway considerably.

A team led by Kunoichi and Yoshi is responsible for securing Jessica. Once this objective has hopefully been accomplished, this team - expectedly assisted by Jessica - will be responsible for commandering a getaway vehicle.

Finally, a team led by Shydow Flysh, Portent and Lady Allure will be responsible for securing Cobra. If available, this team will be supported also by Silver Eagle. Operatives should be mindful that intelligence suggests that there will be armed guards outside and inside Cobra's room and that Cobra is reported to be suffering from an only partially healed spinal injury and should thus be "handled with care".

I hope all this will work out despite all the technical difficulties!

Consider the permission obtained. There's the dedicated section for forum roleplay which should be ideal.

Tempest forum requires registration and activation by hand as well as rights granted before posting is possible. Yes, I did grew weary with spammers. Plus my online presence during early evenings is tentative at best. Just so that those concerned are aware.

Ah, this explains a lot. I tried posting on the Militia boards but got no replies. They do look truly borked. Might be time for a new forum perhaps.

House move went well thank you but I'm still waiting on BT to get an internet connection to me so my participation in this Thursday's meeting might come from an internet cafe. Shame I missed the reactor trial though...

Amber can still participate in the rescue operation but if I can't get a connection by Friday, please feel free to use her as you see fit. I think you know her well enough by now Lotus.

So we should all be signing up on the Tempest forums? Just want to be clear, I wouldn't want to barge in uninvited .

Cobra: PM sent, asking a lot of questions and suggesting a story point. Saying it here in case you don't hover on every forum all the time.

Wolfram: You're invited in any case.

I'm probably going to be late for tomorrows meet, mainly due to the fact i may not be getting home until 7:30. I will arrive as soon as i can once i'm home...

I've triggered a recount of all posts and members on the Militia boards and it seems to have yielded some results at least. Some people I know are still missing but they may need to log in to reactivate. Hopefully things are settled for now but if not, it might be time to start looking for a new forum provider.

Sounds nifty and difficult to pull off. If you have any ideas how to achieve such a thing maybe we should consider it?

Well, a normal webpage constructed with a couple of frames, and with a link to an in-frame forum would work well enough for that...maybe.

Using this thread for maximum effect (or so I hope): Cobra, another PM has been sent. Once I have the info that I requested I can write the Team Tempest part.

One thing that I did not ask is when is this supposed to be over, and our guys back in Paragon City? This got kind of important suddenly, as last night a mission with Tempest went wrong, one hero career ended and another hero was put into "bacta tank" for indefinite time. So, Diana wants Andre back home as quickly as possible.

I was wondering, seeing how Haloween is on the horizon, who'd be up for the Hannon TF this Thursday to get in the spirit of things? I mean, Croatoa is where all the Haloween stuff comes from, so it makes sense.

Whats the IC proposal?

Posted

I'm happy to go with that although I will be attending from an internet cafe so I'd like to be done by 10:00 when they'll be kicking me to the kerb again. Both Amber and Dante have links to Croatoa so there's a good IC reason for them to be interested.

However, bear in mind that some people who show might not be in the level range for it. I guess it will very much depend on who shows on the night.

I have Billy in that area. Well, he's 35 but that's close enough.
