As much as I'd love to join that board, I can't as it's yet another one that's blocked by my work's increasingly bizarre policy when it comes to websites. Anything that mentions 'Games' gets shut down in an instant. (As does anything that says 'fun', 'sasquach' or 'kittens' but that's another matter...)
As the last Admin on the Militia boards, I've poked around with the settings and hit all the fix and restore buttons but all to no avail. I'll keep an eye on it but I don't see it getting fixed any time soon.

Since the forum is [censored]'d again I'll post here.
Anyone with sufficient interest can find out following:
- Mr. Marocco is still in Zig as he's been for a few months now.
- Michel Sanders was captured a week ago and is in Zig. Access to her is through NPC's regulated by me.
- Sussex Nightingale is still at large and retains her British hero license despite investigations about her conduct.
If anyone in Militia (new or former) is interested in any of them and wants to perform some actions, let me know. Preferably through Tempest forum PMs, but here works as well. I am not attached too much to any of them and while I have certain plot point ideas for each of them it's no problem if anyone wants to take their stories totally elsewhere. They can be sprung from prison, killed, contacted, perhaps bribed into doing shady things and whatnot. I'm not saying any of that would be easy, but certainly within the realms of things possible. Just be mindful that in the wrong circumstances these people can be lethal.
Also, people with Praetorian / Malta connections and wanting to be involved with the (possibly lengthy) mop-up process just holler up.
Due to a few comp problems, i'll be rather late tonight. 8:00 earliest, i'm afraid!
I don't mean to rush anyone, but it's about time we get a new forum up and running, right? I say abandon suddenlaunch(for now) and start up somewhere else... Comments?
Not my place to post, but i'd definatly advise Freeforums, hasnt let me down yet anyway, bar the very occasionally 'DEBUG' mode it does when you post, happens very rarly, and i aint seen one advert yet. Its never been down yet or slowed at all (Fingers crossed), on Pacts boards anyway.

Thanks for the suggestion. I agree that the crash of Suddenlaunch has moved our forum transfer up the schedule a little so it would be good to get a move on. I tried Ghost's page but found it hard to navigate and for some reason someone's already registered with my name which is a tad disturbing. Crimson and I will probably have a chat about it this weekend and come up with a plan of action.
In the meantime, I hope everyone had a good time last night. I'm beginning to hate playing from a cafe. Last room of Hess and they chuck me out. Grrr...! Still, hope all went well. If someone could confirm what happened after 10pm, I'll recap next week.

I had problems with Ghost's forum too. However Archer had an alternative set up, texted me the addy, but when I had to clear space on my mobile, accidently wiped it too.
Anyway kudos to Ghost for stepping in, but seeing as Dante, and Archer are the SG's official moderators, its probably best let them set up the new forum. (And do all the work of course!

Hmm. Same thing happened to me - I guessed it was some sort of bug.
Honestly, right now I don't really mind where we end up, just so long as it's stable. Although the Suddenlaunch forums have promoted me to "Forum God", which is pretty cool.

I'm not sure how often Dante visits Tempest forums so using this handy thread here... I PM'd you the edited account of Saffron vs. Charisma. The only real editing took place in the beginning where I wrote a beginning for the whole story trying to accommodate those not familiar with previous events. The other judgment call was to end the story where I did. Let me know if you're unhappy with the beginning, or if you'd like to see more things included in the end. Any other feedback is welcomed too!
Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, the Tempest forums are another site blocked by my work so given that I have no internet connection at home at the moment, I only get to have a look when I'm in an internet cafe. Hopefully though, I'll be reconnected soon. I'll probably next get a chance to have a look on Thursday, I'm sure it'll be great.
Regarding the Hand plot, Saff is going to want to have an audience with Michel at the Zig at some point given that events back home have started to make her suspicious of her mother's 'suicide'. However, I'll probably have to delay it until I'm properly back online.

Has there been any decisions about the future of Militia's forums someplace?
I have created a new forum on freeforums.org, which hopefully will be available to everyone. However, they are currently resynching their servers so the site it there, but I can't do anything with creating new boards, colours, etc until it's done!

They've been going up and down for 60 seconds at a time although there is notification, server restarts or something. Seems fine though, hehe.
Actually, as much as I like the new forums I'm getting server resynch errors about 30% of the time. I'm hoping they calm down soon.

Uncool, the problem is real.
Yeah, it's real. I've checked the support forums, and it seems that what is usually a very stable hosting option is currently going through its first server upgrade in ages... and we've walked right into the middle of it!
Things will settle down in time, but I'm currently investigating their "advanced hosting" option, which is basically moving The Militia forum to its own, paid for, webhost. This would give us greater options for the future too.
Put up with the server reboots and stick with the new forum best you can. One way or another, it'll be sorted soon!

I've noticed that most of the times a few consecutive refreshes will solve the situation.
I really need to Powerlevel Ghost from 25 to 30ish... it was my original intention but I can never seem to find a good team outside of Militia Night where a frail old blaster like him is safe and welcome.
Anyone fancy helping me out? Maybe make a habit of teaming up outside of Thursday Nights? I know it's about a 50/50 split between people who can play outside Thursdays and those who can't, so that gives pretty good odds... Weren't we originally intended to be the "Mission Based" RPSG of choice?
