  1. On the Wiki I cannot even seem to pull his page up. I know the Luddite guy is 15-24.

Doesnt change the lore will state you beat Tyrant via kryptonite rather then being the better combatant.

No for me and for my character would behave the same as Goku and Vegeta did in DBZ. Goku let Frieza fight at full strength to show he was better. Likewise, Vegeta could of beaten Cell but wanted to fight his ultimate form (which got Vegeta beaten) to prove his might.
  4. Also to mention we share this same weakness, during the Black Swan battle the Quills shift us down in level.
  5. I feel its a bit of a shady win (Ignoring the really hard way badge). Technically we really didnt defeat Tyrant at his full strength we exploited a hole in his armor sort to speak. It reminds me of how Statesman dies. Wade is very weak versus him but takes advantage of a ritual to bring him down.

It would be like the equal of beating Superman with an armor of Kryptonite and guns that shoot it versus going toe to toe and beating him at full strength.

I feel we did this to Tyrant, we didnt best him because we were stronger, we simply disconnected his Well connection rendering him powerless and that to me that feels like an empty win.

Had we not done that, how would of Tyrant faired against the Battalion I wonder?
  6. Do these work with rested (Patrol) exp? I don't see in their description saying they don't.
  7. In her story arc, she refers to you as Rusty, Metronome I believe as Glowball, and she makes references to the Black Knights. Is she just crazy or is she actually meaning the Black Knights?

After doing Night Ward I am re-running this arc to see if what we thought was her crazy rambles was actually a prelude to Night Ward.

    Any thoughts?
  8. What about the incarnate benefits though? A judgement that deals 45% harder or lore pets that deal 45% more. Thats HUGE. Cimerorans I believe are 350 dps with muscular thats another 160 dps...

It also effects double hit dmg in hybrid.
  9. Note I posted this from my Iphone... Please forgive the shorter sentence structure or any small grammar mistakes.
  10. I have two builds SS/Fa and TW/fa that I been playing lately. I like musculature and here is why:

    1) Its like having a perma 15 extra fury. 1 fury = 2% damage. Everyone hails the new brute ATO proc which allowed fury to go from 80 (That was the cap I can show the numbers why if requested) to 100. The ATO puts things into perspective.

    2) Damage increases are flat NOT diminishing returns. People always make it sound like damage gives DR but its additive. Example, if you are at 700% or 100% damage buff another 30% is still 30%. For example, if your base DPS is 100 a 30% increase gives 30 more dps. At 700% its still 30 dps increase.

    3) It effects other incarnate powers. Your judgement will hit harder and possibly one shot bosses on crits... The big increase is lore pets. Cimerorans + Musculature is amazing dps.

    4) Recharge alpha gives DR. This does numerically give DR. Example would be 100% recharge will halve recharge time yet adding 300% recharge will only bring that number up to 1/5.
  11. Its not an exploit its called multi-boxing. People do it in WOW too.

Essentially the person needs several cpu's, monitors, etc. its costly but some people enjoy doing it. The only real advantage would be PVP (thats why they do it in WOW). Basically you can one shot people that way.

  13. So after we complete the Mag trial are we lead to believe we killed him? I have been confused by this.

Or is he left alive and we simply disconnected him from the Well leaving him powerless?

As for your comparison test? I've already done it. I already posted my times in the pylon thread. Pre-hybrid I held the best ss/fa/soul time AND tw/fire time. I have a clue what I am talking about. I'm not just pulling this stuff from my experience leveling a tw. Both my ss and tw brute have about 15b invested in them. These aren't casual builds, none of mine are.

Tw does do better dps than ss, but for that to happen you must have a PERFECT rotation with no misses. Ss is a lot more mistake friendly to achieve amazing damage whereas tw is not to get to that level of efficiency.

Don't get me wrong, tw is my favorite melee set in the game, but it is by no means head and shoulders greater than ss, not to mention there is no way whatsoever I would recommend it to a newer player. Tw is the first set in this game that just can't be facerolled (compared to other sets) to maximize its potential.

Also regarding your comparison, I fully understand the comicness of needing gloom for the best dps chain as ss. Well, so does tw at rhe moment. It also needs burn. Hence why I compared both my tw/fire and ss/fire. Granted this will change with the new brute ato Proc, and I only use burn for my st rotation on my tw when bm is popped, but thats the case.

Also are you trolling me? Why would i make x/regenerate ANYTHING? :P

BTW I have access to a non fire armor ss I can do times with also. I am fairly positive the times will be similar to to my my tw/ele brute (who I recycled for my tw/fire). It will be a ss/sd/soul brute. If you arent ok with it being shield I can run it with a ss/ele/soul. If not still, oh well. My argument is that TW is not as superior to ss as you make it out to be, regardless of how they are paired. I mean obviously....take gloom away from ss and that is the case, but that isnt happening.
Wait the best TW includes Burn? How does that work out with the redraw penalty?

Also that clearly cannot include having a high damage buff considering Burn has a 400%(300%) since its a pet summon.

So at what point would a brute's damage buff exceed the need for burn on a tw brute?

So where would a SS/FA/Soul vs TW/FA/whatever at damage cap be dps wise?

Tw cant cycle gloom but ss can.
  16. Where does Super Strength fall when at damage cap compared to other sets?
  17. With the release of Hybrid just passing by, how often do you think we will be getting new Incarnate slots? Once a year? Twice a year? Every 3 issues?

I know the first 5 are a bit of an outlier since I read somewhere the developers felt that was a mistake releasing so many so soon.
  18. So is that Arcanaville's actual character that she plays in game? What powers is it?
  19. Even if the Core did slightly more damage, I would nod toward Radial simply because it converts things into Energy damage. For most Brute sets, thats a new damage type to what they are currently doing. (Exceptions would be EM and Elec)
  20. Per the May 2008 Patch notes:

Stone Melee / Heavy Mallet: Increased activation time to 1.63. This was done to allow the animation to return the player into the neutral position before activating another power
    - Stone Melee / Stone Mallet: Increased activation time to 1.61. This was done to allow the animation to return the player into the neutral position before activating another power.

What did they used to be? I haven't played it in years but just noticed this.
  21. So to further the question, assuming these factors:

Damage Cap, Recharge Cap, etc. What Brute primary does the highest single target damage? I am curious where Stone stands.

Thats easy enough, base the reward table on what level you are or do what WOW does and introduce a new Merit.
