  1. So I'm working on upgrading my dinosaur, and what do I do? I buy the wrong RAM at an independently owned computer shop with a terrible return policy.Long story short, I have two brand new and unopened 1 gb sticks of DDR2 that I'd like to trade for two 1 gb sticks of PC2700, used or otherwise. If anyone here can help me out, that'd be great.

Yeah I'm definitely not expecting a lack of Clarion, haha. The enemies on Keyes do have stuns that can be pretty detrimental to us non form-users though.

    Just a couple of questions.

    1) 3 Performance shifter procs, chance to go off more often while in either form?
It has a chance to go off every time you activate a form if you have a proc placed in the form itself. The one in stamina will have the same chance to go off regardless of what form you are in since fitness works in forms.

    2) Does Absorption shut off in forms?
    No.

    3) What is the ETA on kheld form changes and what is going to happen?
We don't know. Arbiter Hawk told us he would have liked to get the animation times sped up in time for i21 but the art team didn't have time. We haven't heard anything since. We also haven't heard anything about getting toggle suppression in forms, but it's probably been one of if not the top requests we've made.

We know Arbiter Hawk used to lurk our forums as he addressed many of our Peacebringer concerns, so if we continue to make a strong case for the changes we want and why we need them I think it will be helpful in the long run.

edit: An extra slot for S Blast since I hate the enhancement values on Decimation. An extra slot for Eclipse to pull more resistance out of each target, and your double-global'd health slotting for extra recovery. Personally I'd rather use one of the last two slots to proc E Drain but it's a bit of a tossup I guess.

  6. That looks much better to me. Just a couple things- Assuming you plan to use the Kheldian's Grace set in Nova Detonation. There's actually no need to 6 slot it, you can one slot the unique in Ebon eye, N Bolt, or N Blast and still get the global bonus, saving you a slot. Your Eclipse is also overslotted for chasing enhancement values, you can cap resists w/5 targets, enhance accuracy, and keep it perma with breathing room 4 slotted if you frankenslot.

As for Orbiting Death, you'll definitely want to use it for AV fights. It's a big part of the reason why human form's DPS is better than Dwarf's.

The bad part about this as opposed to the one that I made is a lack of endurance slotting in your toggles, which means you can't softcap your human form for AV fights. (edit: I guess you could, but I'd be worried about your blue bar a bit.) Anyways, if you don't want to do that, here are the least tweaks:

By the way Dechs, another thread reminded me of it- I'd like to look at your new build with the human ST chain.
  8. There's not much sense in having E Drain if you're going to slot it like that- The only really practical use of the power is if you are running it in a human form ST chain. You've also got over 10 seconds to spare on your Eclipse, frankenslotting IO's will give you the same enhancement values for less slots. There's no point in having Unchain Essence if you're going to one slot it, and the Nova AOE's will give you more damage output anyways- It's best as a mini-nuke on a human build.

Gravitic Emanation is much more important to slot than Gravimetric Snare and the purple Stun set is just as cheap as the immobilize set. Dark Extraction should really only be 4 slotted if you're going to use the purple set, the enhancement values of 4 Expedients are kind of bad and your pets are an important part of your arsenal.

I really think it's best to slot Gravity Well with Kinetic Combat, a Nucleo, and a proc if you don't want to use Hecatomb. There are so many other places where you can get recharge bonuses and I just don't think it's smart to slot your best single target attack as a hold just for a recharge bonus, but to each their own.

You don't need to slot the Nova ST blasts if you're playing an MFing Warshade. Slotting Nova ST's is for people who play at range and don't take advantage of the double Mire. Human form and Dwarf form both have more ST potential than Nova, it's best to just use it for AOE's, chaning them with Dwarf Mire.

Using human form as your AV form and being able to run an attack chain is something I really can't stress enough- Dechs even started doing this on his Warshade.

Anyways, here's a cheaper 'version' of the last build I posted- It won't be as effective, but it will be much better than what you had there. No expensive purples or PVP's.

Here's a general idea of what I would do on a tri form build. I just threw this together quickly, but it has over 32.5% s/l defense in all forms, and it has the recovery to run toggles and be softcapped in human form (while running a high end ST chain, which human form is better than Dwarf at anyways.) Like I said, you can softcap in all forms without toggles but you end up with some part of your attacks suffering and in my opinion it's too gimpy for the tradeoff.

  10. It is actually possible to softcap s/l defense on a Tri Form build in all forms, but it is somewhat expensive and it means making quite a few sacrifices. Defense does make a huge difference in survivability though, so I recommend focusing on building at least some. If I were to play tri form today I would probably aim for 32.5% s/l defense in all forms... It becomes invaluable for high end content and soloing 54x8 if that is something you'd like to be able to do. It also helps with prolonged AV fights when you won't be able to fully saturate your Eclipse.

My favorite alpha strike tactic regardless is to open up with Gravitic Emanation and run in for Eclipse. At this point on a Tri Form build, I would Sunless Mire>G Well a minion>Unchain Essence>Dwarf Mire>Nova AOE's, repeat every other spawn. On the next spawn, same opener and then Double Mire>Quasar>Stygian Circle.
  11. Cool guys, I updated the list. As for the time, I'll update the OP with that... I want to aim for 8:30 PM est.

I usually bring Rebirth or Barrier to Keyes, but I have every Destiny at t4 so we can work that out when everyone arrives and we know what we have to work with. Judgement doesn't really matter, I use t4 Vorpal for the cool animation. Lore, I bring t4 Cimerorans for everything but Lambda (Seers) because they do so much damage. Basically bring whatever you want, just try to have all three level shifts.
  12. Kheldian Fridays Special Saturday Edition!
    On Freedom!

Some of you may or may not be aware of the Kheldian Fridays event on Protector. Quite a few of the Kheldian forum regulars are also regulars of this event, however, some of the regulars have traveled on to the bigger dimension that is the Freedom server (I'm not naming names, but well... Me.)

I've spoken with my Kheldian Brain Trust and we have decided to put together this one-time-only special event on Freedom: An all Kheldian Keyes Island Reactor trial. If any regular forum posters, lurkers, etc. would be interested in joining us, you have about a month to save up/purchase server transfers and otherwise prepare yourself.

    Date: Saturday March 24, 2012
    Time: 8:30 PM est
    Place: Pocket D
    Server: Freedom

    Here's the roster so far:

    1.) Septipheran (TwoHeadedBoy) 50+3 Warshade
2.) Lady Penitent (Stone Daemon) 50+3 Warshade
3.) Defying the Curse (Dechs Kaison) 50+3 Warshade

So, as you can see, we have plenty of room as of now, and some names you probably recognize. Feel free to sign up here, send me or @Stone Daemon a tell in game, or a PM on the forums if you're interested in participating. I'd really appreciate experienced Kheldian players because this is probably going to be on the difficult side. Level shifts are a huge help, so try to keep that in mind too.

Anyways, that's it for now. I will update this post with any changes.

I don't do nothing but play like that, but if I'm concerned with getting the most out of Windfall I'll definitely make an actual effort to do so. I just don't think it's fair to use the power under suboptimal conditions and then complain about the results.

There would certainly be nothing wrong with suggesting the idea, unless you're afraid of some jerk coming along and relentlessly insulting you for making a suggestion he or she didn't like.
  16. I might actually bring my PB out of retirement if these changes happen, but it wouldn't be too likely. Being able to use Dwarf Flare instead of Solar Flare for AOE would be pretty sweet, but the KB from everything else would more than likely still drive me insane.

Yes, you can "chomp blue skittles" to deal with that problem ... but only for so long, and that isn't always the best option for some activities (like Mothership Raids).
I disagree. One, Stygian Circle. Two, recovery bonuses. I never place emphasis on endurance slotting in my attacks, and the +recharge from Obliteration can be very useful in something like Sunless Mire. Mine uses Armageddon and it's still a couple of seconds away from perma, so even going past ED cap can be helpful at times. I can see your point about maybe considering endurance on a Peacebringer though, their end management is yet another department where they are inferior to Warshades, and that's before you even consider the LF crash.

So Obliteration may be a "solid" set, but it's not the Be All, End All, Hands Down, Walk Away From Mids' set either.
Of course it's not, Armageddon is. You said earlier you weren't counting purples though, so *shrug.* I'd much rather drop a Decimation set on a low budget build because it's only a level 40 set and it has the enhancement values to prove it.

Did you know the sky is blue also? Everyone already knows about that, and it's not the point. I already told you I'm not playing with you anymore.

    Kheld Grace

Crushing Impact and Decimation come to mind. I would drop either of those before Obliteration, that set is very solid.

I live to serve. I'm not sure if he even intended it to be a pun, hah.
  21. I would also say that people aren't using them under ideal conditions for valuable drops. They can be claimed on any character, pick one with decent or better survivability and good AOE. Use Windfall when you have time to devote to drop farming, ie: beating the hell out of Council and the like on -1x8. Spend the duration of Windfall doing this, and you'll probably get something good out of it. Don't blame the power itself because you chose to be on a team or play a slow paced character when you used it.
  22. I'll tell you what I'd do first, I'd use forms again.

More specifically, I'd use human form for all of my single target/crowd control needs. I'd use Dwarf for the autohit taunt. I'd use Sunless Mire>Dwarf Mire>Nova Emanation>Nova Detonation against large groups. I would stay in human form when the going got rough.

I'd also be very excited, and my build would probably look something like this.

  23. I could've sworn the draft you sent me had the +2mag proc in it, not the smashing damage proc. I would've told you to take the former out.
  24. I just saw you put the Hecatomb proc in E Drain like I suggested and wanted to clear up any crossed signals, since the reason I suggested it in the first place was that Hecatomb takes a purple damage proc from a different set.

I think you sent me a build sketch that used the lockdown proc in G Well at the end (I remember being reminded of one of Alien's builds since he does that too) and that's when I suggested the change.
