I'm sure I already told you this in game but I can't remember with absolute certainty, but this is really awesome. The forms really shine when exemped down and you've made great use of them, which isn't the least bit surprising.

Put me on the list of people who are disappointed with a lack of Freespec in i22. I'm sure that this thread is full of irrlevant discussions and Golden Girl making the "
" face since it was posted in the General Discussion section of the board, so I'm not going to bother reading the thread aside from voicing my disappointment.

See, this I don't get. The shift down to human form is already instant, and that really doesn't look weird at all. I fail to see the difference between shifting from nova or dwarf to human and shifting into either Nova or Dwarf from human. There's really no point in an animation period, in my opinion. Shapeshifting should be fluid and convenient,it should be able to be used at the players discretion in order to take full advantage of the mechanic.

Yep, once I end up with enough Catalysts I'll be upgrading the Blaster ATO set to purple grade and replacing Coercive Persuasion in WoC with the Malaise set. It's a shame you can't just upgrade the proc without losing the set bonus.
-
I have a rad/sonic. As for "how you do it," the concept is pretty simple. Keep your toggles on your target- You can debuff resistance through EF and an Achilles proc in RI. This will stack with the secondary -res from Sonic. The only attacks you'll want to be using are your ST attacks- The best two are Shriek and Scream. Shout has a long cast time, I would say you should cycle it in your attack chain, but every time Amplify is up cast that instead.
Keep LR perma in order to constantly pump out -regen. I guess there could be a case for using EMP also but I personally don't think the -recovery is worth the tradeoff of the extra debuff.. Rad is a very end heavy set as it is. As for surviving, ranged defense is your best bet. I was able to build that and s/l defense to the softcap without using any expensive PVP/Purple enhancements while keeping Hasten, LR, and AM perma. The tradeoff is a lack of AOE, but Sonic isn't a great AOE set anyways and I preferred to play to its strengths. -
It would also be nice if you could mention the toggle suppression issue. I don't think we've ever even had a statement about whether they haven't gotten around to it, or if they're not willing to consider it for some reason. I personally can't see any reason why they wouldn't want toggles to suppress while in forms, combined with faster animations it would make them much less clunky to use, especially for a Warshade it seems like a logical choice to make considering that there are two offensive toggles in Umbral Aura.

We aren't going for a Mo run or anything. Honestly I think this will be pretty simple without Incarnate power list compiling assuming that everyone knows what they're doing/follows instructions, which I've made some handy macros to pump out.

I have a Rad/Sonic in the mid 40's that I threw a relatively cheap build together for recently. It softcaps s/l/ranged and has perma Hasten/AM/LR and the Patron pet is even a second from perma. I went for single target almost exclusively with any AOE being done by Fallout, pets and Judgement. Turn Accolades and Incarnates on and imagine a Defender ATO set 6 slotted in Fallout for final numbers.

Thanks Stone. Looks like we're down to one spot, I'll put together a reserve list in case there are some who can't make it and we end up with more wanting to participate.
-
The form shift times are a huge inconvenience, but it's not the only downfall of playing Tri Form. While it is fun and very effective, Tri Form play requires sacrificing control and survivability (and often times ST damage) for more AOE. A Human Form Warshade is able to run Inky Aspect all the time, and when combined with Emanation and Unchain Essence it yields more constant control than a Tri Form can put out. Human Form is also more survivable than a Black Dwarf since it can achieve very high levels of defense, and the best single target attack chains are in human form. Human Form provides more consistent AOE with a well slotted and t4 reactive'd Orbiting Death, but Tri Form will do more burst AOE because of the double mire'd Nova form. I'm not saying Tri Form is bad, because that's far from the case, but Human Form play yields more consistency with a bigger box of tools and more durability.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread, I would have thought that by now Stone could have adequately helped the OP find the way to often. Alright, I got that out of my system.
Quote:I disagree with slotting Nova ST's at all personally. Gravity Well and Shadow Blast have a place on every build imo, and the shift to human form is always instant. I think the slots are best served on those powers, but if you're like AIB and you use Dwarf as your primary ST form, don't forget about taunting the mostly dead bosses at the end of a spawn back into melee range if they run away.Dwarf is good for pounding on a solid target (like an AV), but frankly most of your time you aren't doing that. For mob to mob killing, I find it easier to have at least one strong nova ST attack for hitting bosses with--the mob doesn't all die at the same time, after all, and it's a waste to use only AoEs on a near death enemy or go through the whole process of shifting forms (by which time the boss will be dead from the rest of your team).
Quote:No, not really. I find the Nova attacks to be far more potent than the Dwarf ones, probably because the Nova damage scale is far better. Dwarf is good for mez shielding, dual-mire and brief res hits when Eclipse is down, but not for out and out damage.

Quote:The ones that do are very useful though. They're providing more AOE than any other single player aside from Judgement which everyone has. /Mental also has a regen debuff that can be made perma- That goes for Doms too. Most blaster builds dont have crashless nukes, and a Cor can often equal or near equal a blaster while providing support, sometimes at the same time.
Quote:I said scrappers are fine, and even tanks are fine, though its usually only 1 tank per 24 or 16 people depending on the trial.
Quote:MM's have the debuff's but they are HATED during trials, clogging up halls and adding confusion especialy since the pets scale very poorly. -
It depends on what you're doing. I have one of each Destiny at t4 (aside from t3 Incandescence,) and I switch between them depending on the situation. If I'm fighting enemies light on mez but with defense debuffs (like Cimerorans) I'll bring some break free's and Ageless for the DDR. I also bring Ageless and Break Free's for Malta and Arachnos even though they have lots of mez, because I think the debuff resistance and +end from ageless to deal with the -end is most useful. Clarion for solo play is what I'll use against things like Rikti. I use Barrier or Rebirth for soloing AV's so I don't have to worry about killing mobs to heal myself and I can keep them up as Mire food for longer periods, keeping DPS on my primary target for as long as possible before I need to pull more buff food. For Incarnate trials, I'll bring Clarion to MoM and UG for the wide status protection, and Rebirth or Barrier to just about everything else.
-
What is the basis of this information? Blasters with crashless Nukes tear stuff up during iTrials. /Mental Blasters and Dominators, Controllers, Defenders, and Masterminds all have debuffs that are invaluable for the AV fights. Stalkers and Scrappers are both able to bring DPS to the table in order to speed up those AV fights, too- Getting through fights quickly is definitely a plus on an Incarnate league. If anything is obsolete during Incarnate Trials, it's Tanks. Brutes with taunt are able to pull/tank and do much more damage to boot. That's not to say that Tanks don't have a place or can't be useful, but I think their role is the only one that's significantly overshadowed by other AT's.

I also build enough recovery into my builds that I generally only have to use Stygian Circle at the end of an x8 fight, so building recovery bonuses and slotting your toggles for endurance reduction is important also. Another thing that's helpful is the Agility Core Paragon since it provides probably the three most important things to a Human Form Warshade: Recharge, Defense, and Endurance Modification. It's good to aim for a 2 point difference between endurance use and recovery.
-
From my perspective, discouraging AE farming has actually hurt the market for the most casual folks more than anything. Rare salvage was considerably cheaper before AE got nerfed into oblivion, and now people with low funds are paying sometimes more than twice as much as they used to for rare salvage. I've also noticed an increased price in many of the rare/uncommon enhancements that are easy to get through AE like Reactive Armors. When these things are generated more often, it becomes easier for more casual players to buy them for their builds. Nerfing AE has hurt the 'common folk' quite a lot from my perspective, so I guess it makes sense that a bit after that happened the converters are coming out which will overall lower prices... They're probably not going to help at all with the uncommon/rare enhancements or rare salvage though, so overall I think the AE nerfs did more harm than good.
-
Stygian Circle should be plenty good enough to give you adequate endurance with just a couple of targets. I actually started slotting mine for end mod a while after switching to Human Form since our endurance gets spent much more quickly than Tri Form.
-
When you're on Freedom for the Keyes trial we'll have to find time to try it out.I'm assuming your strategy would be to play like a Wimp and Nova me to death. Do you know if Provoke does -range? My i22 build will be including it again and that'd probably be my best bet to stop you hiding from the clutches of my Gravity Well. I guess the slows would be helpful too but you also have those.
-
lol.
Quote:Spitballing here, but how about:
First mission: foes with very high resistance.
Second: foes with very high defense.
Third: foes that are mez immune.
Fourth: foes that have very high damage capability.
Fifth: foes with strong debuffs.
Make sure that each mission has varied damage types and resist/defense types. Sound like a decent start? -
Quote:Why do you rock the warshade?
Why do I solo AVs and spend time clawing up pylons?
We do it because we do it. When it comes to inf, I'm about it much as you are. I don't play the market, I farm when the mood hits me, I make what I need to make and then go back to doing whatever else.
When I heard that there are people sitting on not billions but hundreds of billions, I too found myself wondering why. But then I went and soloed some AVs and realized, "oh, they do it because it's fun for them to do it."
This is definitely an awesome way of looking at it and something I never even considered. I guess I just see infamy as a means to an end, I enjoy making it because I like what I can spend it on. I can't personally see making it for the sake of making it- I know TopDoc has awesome reasons for making as much as he does, because he wants to deck out all of his characters, and he has tons of them. I was just confused by the idea of making it without having plans to use it on anything, but if people just enjoy doing it for the sake of doing it, that's totally cool with me. Awesome observation Bill. -
