Difference Between Forms

AIB

Is there any significant difference with how a WS is played, by this i mean like Human Form Only, Dual or Tri Form. I'd like to know because i really like Tri-Form Shades but i dont see myself wanting to go through the hassle of constantly changing forms back and forth, unless of course all that changing is worth something. Im not a regular Kheldian AT player so im pretty new to all of this. Just thought i'd give something new a try

There's essentially two ways to play a 'shade. Tri-form and all human. My guide is for Triforming, AlienOne's is for human forming. The link to his guide is very early in mine. Check them both out. They're both incredibly viable.

Where to now?
Check out all my guides and fiction pieces on my blog.
The MFing Warshade | The Last Rule of Tanking | The Got Dam Mastermind
Everything Dark Armor | The Softcap
don'T attempt to read tHis mEssaGe, And believe Me, it is not a codE.

Playing a 'shade can be a whole mess of things... but simple is never one of them.

Start with our guides, they'll get you on your feet. After that we'll be more than happy to help out with any questions you still have.

Great guides no doubt. There are more than two ways to play a WS but those two ways work very well.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

There are certainly thousands of ways to play a shade. Basically, though, if you try to boil it down, there's human and there's shapeshifting. That's all I was trying to say.

Okay so after spending all night reading both guides(Human & Tri-Form) I ended up liking the thought of a Tri-Form shade, i saw some pretty reasonable choices made for that type of build, but i REALLY liked the human form shade playstyle better. I have had my fair share of WS's in the past, i just never really bothered getting into them as much as i would have liked. I have played Tri-Form shades before so i kinda know what the powers are capable of doing and so on and so forth. So for that reason i chose to go with the Human Form on the main build, and then take advantage of the other 2 builds that the game lets you have to make it a Tri-Form build. This way i can see both aspects and actually get the feel of playing each one and then go from there with whichever one i like the most. Im really open-minded so im always willing to try new things if it would help me better understand this AT and the things its capable of doing. One last thing, where are most of the "big" shades located?(Please note these are only the ones i consider big based on their contributions to the Kheldian Forums and the knowledge they seem to have) Such as THB, AIB, Alien, and Dechs. I would really enjoy rolling a few games with you guys to see a bit better and understand a whole lot more. Preciate the help again guys, please forgive me during the time im adjusting lol

THB (and Alien, I believe) is on Freedom, AIB is Protector (though technically Freedom at the moment), and Dechs is on Virtue. We will all, however, be on Freedom on March 24th.

Welcome to shadehood. I am glad to read of your plan to use various builds. If I can be of help please let me know.

My home server is Protector, wherein I have numerous 50s and a family SG. Serene Servant (my Triform PB) is currently in command.

My commander in chief, AIB (Triform WS AIB) is campaigning over on Freedom, as Stone mentioned, under the moniker, Honest AIB. Because of the forthcoming Kheld event, my stay there has been extended.

Those are the two servers on which you can find my toons. Though occassionally Captain AIB and First Mate Serene Servant are out sailing the high seas...

(I feel that another chapter is beginning to take shape...)

My best example of the differences...

If you have ever played a feral druid in pvp in WoW, it feels a LOT like that as a triform. Switching constantly to utilize your powers completely.

Human form feels really unique. I can't really figure out how to describe it.

Templar of Truth Level 50+++ Triform Peacebringer - Server Freedom
Templar of Judgement Level 50+++ Triform Warshade - Server Freedom
Gaze into the Abyss... OR ...Walk in the Light
And you thought eight Kheldians were awesome...

Dominator on steroids sums it up nicely.

OP, I tried Peacebringers and Warshades a dozen times and gave up on all of them. Then I read the guide by Dechs Kaison, and the lights went off.

My build is very different from his, but I do play tri-shade Mfing Warshade, and she is a godess! Dechs knows his stuff when it comes to this AT!

Make a man a fire and keep him warm for the day, SET a man on fire and keep him warm for the rest of his life.

I've always likened it to the necromancer in Diablo 2, except tankier. I actually made a build once on one of those Dragon Age games (probably the second one) that I liked to call the Warshade build. It had heavy duty self protection spell(s), a damage aura, and the ability to target enemies with a bomb spell that would explode them upon death. It was a lot of fun.

Awesome, i am gonna be working towards getting my shade up to 50 before the 24th of this month so that i may join you guys if its possible. I'd really like to be in contact with you guys if possible, get some feedback in game to extend my knowledge. I feel like this is gonna be an AT i will have a lot of fun playing and exploring. I'm located on Freedom but for some reason im never able to find any WS's online other than Alien from time to time. I'll make sure to stay active in the Kheld forums in hopes of gaining some new friends lol. I appreciate the help you all have given me so far, hope to learn some more stuff.

I'll be on Freedom tonight and will try to find you. Of course, before that, I need to roll with the cool crowd of Khelds over on Protector's KF event.

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...
