The first goal should always be recharge, and yours is very lacking. The more recharge you have, the faster you kill, and the more overlap you have on eclipse. I notice you built up your s/l defense to almost 20%, but I've gotten mine to 30% with 185% global recharge. I recently dropped super speed and realized that stealthing for me is only good for ghosting tips... Teleport into spawns and hit eclipse. With 30% s/l defense on top of capped resists to all, you are virtually unkillable. Your only weaknesses are recharge debuffs and sappers.
I absolutely recommend slotting the absolute amazement set into gravitic emanation. Drop essence drain- You don't need it. With enough recharge, stygian circle will be up so much you won't know what to do with it. If you're playing your warshade right, you always have enough bodies to fill both of your bars.
As for your build...
Wow, I hate it. Sorry but you are overslotting powers that you will never use for minimal set bonuses. I'm not even going to bother correcting it. I understand that inf. is tight, so I made you a build that uses only the absolute amazement purple set you said you already had. The kinetic combat's can be picked up through alignment merits or lots of trial and error on AE ticket rolls. (Those should be fun.... My warshade currently hits the AE ticket cap-per-run in less than 5 minutes. You may find that you get.. Everything you needed, and resell it, after your build is done. Essentially, your warshade will give you your money back)
The goals I had in mind were way more recharge, and a much more significant amount of s/l defense- Also without wasting slots on powers that are 110% unnecessary to slot as much as you have and focusing on improving the cornerstone powers that you've gimped and outright skipped.
This build features only the purple stun set, ~30% s/l defense, and 176% global recharge. It also doesn't overslot unneeded powers.

I feel like virtue is a good choice, especially on incarnate trials everyone always seems to know where they need to be and what to do. I've actually had some pretty horrible experiences on Protector in that sense.

Quote:I don't know why I'm even bothering to come back to this thread, but it appears that either I was unclear in my original post, or I need to clarify. I am not "frustrated" at missing out, Hyper, I heard about a couple of events I thought were cool after the fact, and as I stated in my very first post, from the limited amount I did see on the forums and asked about, I was under the mistaken impression that this was an all-day RP event. I was willing to volunteer my time at the next one, assuming that a better way could be found to reach players who find out about game stuff in a non-traditional manner. That's all.
I didn't even say, though those words have been put in my mouth, that the methods he used were bad. I believe they were very efficient in getting the word out, to most folks. But I am not most folks, and I was trying to find a way to get more involved, and get people like me involved. Instead, I was attacked by the mob like I kicked someone's puppy, a fact I will certainly remember the next time a call is made for community involvement.
For a couple of you that are asking, "how can you not check the forums/twitter/facebook/whatever," let me explain.
1. When I am in my working season, I don't even get to log in-game but once every two or three weeks most of the time. The people I run with that many of you trust (Sooner, T, Kid) will verify that. So when I can log on, I log on to play, not to read the forums. If I have two hours after two weeks away, I play for two hours, not play for 90 mins and forum surf the other 30. I pay to play, not read the forums.
2. I cannot access the forums from work. So it's not like I can surf the forums at work and
catch up during the day - I'm locked out. The same goes for FB. I miss things.
3. When I can play, it's usually (not always, but usually) after 9pm Central time until about midnight. I don't want to single her out, but Layla is a perfect example when she mentioned that she talked about it all the time. But I don't ever remember Layla even being on at 10pm on a Weds. The last time I ran with her was a lunchtime task force at like 11am one stray day that I was off (it was a Croatoa TF).
To be perfectly honest, this thread trainwrecked in a way that, to me, is unintentionally hilarious. Grey (who, let me stop here, and I hope he reads this, is a champ in this thread, and the next time I see him I'll tell him so) posted about some confusion, I pop in to agree that it was confusing, say that stuff looked like fun and ask how players like me could be more involved, and the next thing I know some of you are grabbing the torches and pitchforks - "He's not on Twitter? Burn him!" My first post was polite and respectful; I even admitted in a later post that some of the blame was on me (I believe - Oh look, there it is - that I said not checking the MoTD's regularly was my fault).
So, here's what this whole thing looks like from my end:
Witch: Hey, Grey's right, there was some confusion, but I'd like to be involved next time, how can you get people like me better informed?
Stale: What's your problem, I have twitter and a calendar, would you like me to tattoo it on your forehead?
Witch: That's not what I meant, but if you want to get nasty we can go there.
(Voices of Reason) - Let's do it this way.
Witch: You all make good points. That might work.
(Dogpile): OMGWTFBBQ, you don't read the forums? All the work he did! The calendar! The Horror!
Witch: This is community? It's no wonder I don't check the forums.
If you'd like to be involved, check the forums once a week to see what's going on. If you took all the time you spent writing these comments and spread it out over the course of a month, you could easily spend a couple of minutes once a week to check for upcoming events on this board, that's why it's here and there's nothing stopping you from using it. -
To be fair, it's pretty easy to spend 5 minutes or less once a week to see what's going on with the servers you play on via the forums... I had a couple of friends who I never see on the board that knew about Day of Vigilance just by quickly looking at threads in this section. If it's important to you to know what's going on, it can't hurt to spend a couple of minutes and check every now and then. You don't even have to post.
-
I never open up on a spawn with nova form on either my PB or my WS... Warshade likes to go in with eclipse and mires, and PB usually starts off with foot stomps to make nova blasting safer.
-
I had a blast! I hope we do something like this again.
-
I recently dropped super speed for nebulous form on my shade, so I get invisibility with shadow cloak and a stealth IO in sprint. I also have the invisibility pool power but I don't use it because of the "only affecting self" part... It's just an LOTG mule.
-
I remember when I first started playing, I wished the tutorial helped with the chat box. I was very confused about how to send tells, completely unaware of the difference between broadcast/local/team, etc. I thankfully had an irl friend who got me into the game and helped me set up my graphics and show me basic things, I'm very glad I had that because if I didn't I would have been totally lost.
Also, before I got used to all the maps I used to struggle very badly with finding glowies and destructible objects... I think the map should show everything at all times. The only people it's hurting is new players, as experienced players usually know instinctively where everything is anyways.
To this day I'm still annoyed about having to hold down the right mouse button every time I attack to avoid the camera spinning around and trying to give me a seizure. -
To be fair, the goal is always to get back to Nova form because it's the source of most of your damage.. Trouble is, you need to shift constantly to keep your dwarf mires stacked, fire human mire as often as possible, and be sure to drop to human when eclipse/hasten is up. Sure it would be great to always be in Nova form, blasting at 300% damage with 85% resistance to all damage and not have to drop to any other forms.. but it doesn't work that way. You'll need to shift constantly to keep your damage up, the dwarf mire expires quickly and the human mire is on a long recharge.
-
-
Build for s/l defense instead of ranged... You need to LIVE in melee for your self buffs, and s/l is the best way to go. I got mine to 30% with 185% global recharge and not gimping anything.

Quote:So, as someone with a particular interest in the Twilight's Son TF, how did that go?
It was fun, I enjoy that TF. We ended up with 9 showing up for that event, so we split to one team of 5 and one team of 4. The smaller team was able to finish before my team, but we had fun with it.
we ended up with 8 total for the Lambda- We were able to finish everything but killing Marauder, and we were all content with that. I'm sure if we had more than the bare minimum, we could have had a successful trial run with all Kheldians.
Thanks so much to everyone who participated in this event, thanks to Stalemate for organizing and thanks to Toxic Striker for fronting the prize money! Everyone is awesome! -
The first event is finished- We had two teams doing the Twilight's Son TF. The next event will be starting in a half hour and it will be a Lambda Trial. I'll be PMing you all the global names of participants, and that kind of stuff after the second event ends. -
Ah, that is unfortunate. We will beat the crap out of everything we meet and dedicate it to you!
I would absolutely be willing to do this on a regular basis, but it would have to be pretty much co-op events since my Warshade is evil... I don't like bringing my Peacebringer along for things as much. -
Okay, I've been sending out a bunch of tells tonight and more people than I expected seem interested, so here's the deal...
If we end up with more than 8 for the Twilight's Son TF and with an even amount, I was thinking we could do a Peacebringer vs. Warshade race. The second event is going to be an incarnate trial, and I'm definitely not worried about exceeding 24. See everyone tomorrow!
-
I'll be dropping in to say hey but not participating in the contest.
Look out for a tiny warshade with a tail and purple eyes.
-
I talked to a couple of Peacebringers in game today and they said they'd like to join us so the list has been updated.
-
How active is the Virtue Badges channel? I just joined tonight.
-
If you're going for badges I'll join you... My blaster needs Keep em Separated.

-
I'm an interested villain.

I've been seeing a crap load of low level Stalkers in Praetoria lately... It's been common to have 2-3 on a team at a time. Too bad there isn't a Stalker cap.
