So...what would be the point of having them in the first place? If everyone has them, it's not a special reward.
There's *plenty* in the first year that's good. I don't think that veteran rewards that aren't *that* significant are going to be what causes people to leave. -

That was me...but in my defense:
1) I didn't know that the juggle emotes weren't working with flight at the time (technically, they were working, they were just being immediately interrupted by the flight idle animations)
2) It took about 10 minutes to copy the giant list of FX GEOs from Propel, and then remove the ones that were way too big
3) It made me giggle like a schoolgirl for a solid couple of hours.

Dark Blast...ugh....pathetic damage and the self-heal isn't worth it (to me at least). Oh and then you have Dark Pit...weak...man I remember taking that power a LONG time ago (when I first started to play the game) and was playing on my Storm/Dark Defender. I got Dark Pit because, "hey it's a targetted AoE disorient!" My friend/teammate and I go to Perez Park (ah those were the days!) and get a few more people to join us and we just start killing mobs and I use Dark Pit and notice...wow...it hit maybe 2 out of the 10 mobs that I threw it at....oh and look the mobs have already 'snapped out of it' before Dark Pit recharged...Granted I didn't have any TOs/DOs in it but I hated that power ever since...it never seemed to get more than 4 mobs and didn't last more than like 5 seconds it seemed.

[/ QUOTE ]Pretty much any successful MMO that's been around for more than a year or two puts out at least one expansion. Everquest, Everquest II, FFXI, WoW, Star Wars Galaxies, LotRO...the list could go on. And on. And on.

So we will soon have a completely optional major expansion, and a few completely optional minor expansions, with fees that are pretty much the same as other competiton, many of which have mandatory paid expansions.
And you also seem to have forgotten the 15, soon to be 16 minor expansions that are completely and 100% free to everyone (that subscribes to the game).
I'd say we're doing pretty well. -

That being said, while we may not get complete customization, having several different pets to choose from might be a nice touch. Or even different minions summoning randomly, like the Thugs do.

Since only one of the travel pools has a decent Tier 4, and the rest are just situationally useful...I don't see the problem with that.

It should definetly be replaced with the version you get as a Vet reward called Assemble the team that actually TPs any teamate on your map to your location.

Considering you can't be automatically logged out in TF mode, people would just stay logged in for a week or more and just continue racking up merits.

Under your proposed system, they'd have the exact same. And the big question is...where would those numbers fall?
Giving a level 10 numbers for level 30 won't work...nor will giving a level 30 level 15 numbers. So...how would you suggest that would work? -

Just like SOs, the higher the level, the more it gives you. -

(Not that I wouldn't use it...but I think it would look awfully cluttery when *not* using it.) -
It's...an interesting idea, but it's far too late to implement something like that. It would completely screw over a lot of peoples' slotting, especially builds that were designed to be exemp-friendly, and it would be needlessly confusing.
It would also kind of not work with the IOs that cap *before* 50...
So...yeah. Interesting idea, but needs a *lot* more polish to be viable for the current game. -
