I Need a quick course on slotting IOs, Plz Help

most sets have 6 pieces. What it's saying is that, for example, Positron's Blast Accuracy/Damage can only be slotted once in any given power...but you can also slot Posi's Blast Damage/Range, Posi's Blast Damage/Recharge, and the Chance for Energy Damage proc to get the 4-set bonus.
You can also slot Posi's Blast Acc/Dam in several different powers, if you want. What you *can't* do is slot it twice in one power.

So if I slot a numina in health lets say, can i slot another heal io, not sure on the names, next to it? or does it have to be in the same set?
Yes, you can slot anything else but the Numina IO you just slotted.
If you want to put a Numina: Heal and a Miracle: Heal both in Health, you can.
(I do note that that wouldn't be a particularly good idea, since that would be the same as two basic Heal IOs, and a lot more expensive...but you can do it.)

Also download and install Mids Hero Designer to see what you can slot where and what actual effects it will have on the rest of your character.
The other thing to keep in mind is that some IOs are unique. You can only slot 1 of them per character. The most common ones of these are the miracle +recovery, Numina's Convalescence +regen/+recovery, and the steadfast protection +defense. Ultra-rare IOs (purples) are also unique.
Another good source of information on the invention system is to do the tutorial at the university.

Well; the two on their own; yeah, not highly effective. But start slotting more of both sets...

Basically I just don't get it. Say you buy a certain IO, and it says that only 1 of this particular enhancement can be slotted at any given time. If thats the case how am i supposed to slot set IOs? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.
