Nah, I just think there should be more RP servers. I'm never leaving Virtue, and though I'll never take that stupid Helper title, I love helping new blood.

Quote:I RP it as a place where my alcoholic main can drink to unhealthy excess and study the auras of the 'super' community for his research. On the subject of "Pocket D is srz RP", I can not take a dance club as a serious place to do anything. It's a dance club. You hang out, unwind, and relax there. That's the kind of RP I'd expect to see and would be fine with. But I see so often epic battles of heroes vs. villains, literal gods god moding everywhere, constant ERP, and general jack ***** that feel the need to be better than you and cause a conflict. That's, like, the opposite place to unwind, kick back, and have fun. Then there's the whole "Lore says we can't fight here, but we do it anyway!" bit. If you wanna battle, take it to the ruins of RWZ or the arena terminals.
I used to use the D as a hangout spot for months and rarely did I ever see general hang out RP. So that's why I avoid it, at least.
He doesn't get out much. -
Personally, I'm making an entire array of characters on VIP when it comes out. Their primary purpose is just to try things I don't have room for on Virtue, but yes, I do fully intend to assist any campaign to create an RP VIP server.

YET I HAVE LURED YOU OUT OF HIDING! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!
*Presses a button and machine guns, shotguns, ballistic missile batteries, cannons, trebuchets, cannons, softball pitching machines, slingshots, and flippy spoons-all loaded with salt- pop out of every conceivable surface. Yes, even that.*

Quote:I never thought I'd see a heroic Necro/ backstory that didn't look like a cop-out.Katherina Nightshade (Necro/Dark)
A young necromancer from a long line of necromancers, Kath's parents and siblings were killed in a robbery when she was still a child. Left with none of her family's fortune, and only their longtime servant, Nichol (a powerful lich who owed allegiance to Kath's father), Kath had no choice but to take odd jobs around the isles, using her necromancy to help whoever she could.
She has a special affinity for lost souls, and helps them remember who, or what they are, and move on to their afterlife. A few of them have decided to stay with her, protecting her as she continues her work. Her personal style of necromancy is unique, in that she doesn't bind souls to her will, they join her by choice. Sure, the bodies are a bit crummy, but they're fully replacable.
She has recently taken up residence in Paragon City, and lives in her Supergroup base with Nichol and the rest of the souls that decided to stay with her. She's continued her work to help others as a full-blown hero now, and continues to help the dead find their way home.

I just looked through the guides section and saw not a single mention of Electric Blast.
I looked through the first page and a half and saw a similar lack of mention of Electric Blast.
I've recently begun working on an Elec/Kin Corruptor, and I've seen comments that Electric Blast on blasters is fairly gimped, so I find myself wondering if there's some disadvantage to Electric Blast, on Corruptors or in general? What strengths and weaknesses does it have?
And if it plays at or above average Corruptor primaries, why no guide? -
Quote:Those also feature on Ice/Ice blasters, which he already scrapped at 38 because he hated it.Not to mention the often underrated stacking slows that virtually keep foes in their place.
Frankly, I can understand it. Slows look fun, but don't really feel fun. -
He thwarted me...
He thwarted my plan for revenge...

Quote:Oddly, my friend and I have found those areas quite frustrating on our Brute/Scrapper team. Granted, they're not nearly as frustrated as our Blaster/Corruptor team is...I didn't know people WANTED to be in Praetoria :P. Just kidding, Praetoria has some great story, graphics, and is a refreshing change from the standard 1-20 content (especially villian side :/), I just know that I end up soloing a lot of my lower level toons, and I find the zones have some frustrating missions if you are not a brute/tank/scrapper... Perhaps that is just because I am used to those ATs more than others...

Quote:Hey now. I find myself somewhat suspect of your licensure to perform construction work...*Begins stringing yarn back and forth across the hole.*
Ok, first we gotta cross brace the head beam here to make sure the subsidence doesn't cause a crack in the main line.
... err, I mean...
*Cackles and giggles and whispers ominous threats about the Puppeh* -
You can't hide forever, puppy...
Try as you might, you CAN'T HIDE FOREVER.
*Has nothing to do with any disappearing supplies or equipment from Fedor's construction work, no he does not.* -

/Dark Masterminds are fairly ridiculous.
I run Thugs/Dark, but if you want something more dark-oriented in the primary, Demon/Dark seems very highly rated too. -
*Suddenly, the lights and the sprinkler die off and a voice drifts over the intercom*
Oh puuuuppyyyyyyyy...
I've got a surpriiiiise for yooooouuuuuu... -
Oh Puuuuuppyyyyy...
Where aaaaaaare yooooouuuuuu...
*Giggles as more noises emit from the library* -
*Has long-since taped pieces of cardboard with smiley-faces on them in front of the cameras*
*The smiles seem slightly maniacal and demented*
*Disturbing chuckles and giggles can be heard at frequent intervals*
(Also, for 2x weekend I'm gonna try and get some of my 20-30 toons up. Many of them have been sitting still for a while now.) -

Coffee and donuts in the lounge. I'll just be in my library.
*Dashes into the library and begins tinkering and fidgeting with various things* -
... See, I think it's funny that this is turning people from "Oh god not Freedom" to "Hey, that's kinda cool."
Personally, I think that sounds obnoxious. The new character creation interface sounds like an insult to the user's intelligence, and ditching the sewers seems like yet another drastic inconsistency toward their ever-changing opinion on farming and grinding.
And I liked the Breakout and Outbreak tutorials. -
Retro levelling?
Psh. You know how I level my toons?
I log in. I run the tutorial. I run missions for my contact in City Hall. When they're finished, I run missions for the contact they introduce me to.
I keep running missions until I'm level 20.
I didn't even come into the game until around i13 and I'm still more retro than you, son. The sewer and the AE farms can lick my sphincter. -

*Creeps into the room through the side door, wearing a plastic rain poncho*
*Shifty glance left*
*Shifty glance right*
*Casually yet quickly strolls to the coffeemaker*
*Shifty glance left*
*Shifty glance right*
*Pulls out a cup and quickly fills it with coffee, a touch of cream, and a hint of sugar*
*Flees before anybody can salt him* -
No it isn't. The Praetorian enemy groups are an unmitigated pain in the *** from level 1 right through to level 20. Thirty more levels of that would break my brain.
