    Cabal/witch hat

    thanks guys

the main reason why I ask is because I recently got my fire/psi dominator to level 50 and I was wanting for my fire/kin and fire/psi to have similar costumes...

I really like the hat, actually. It's good for creepy-ish costumes...

I guess I'll try to make it work with the magic pack hat...
  3. Tolso

    I Have a Problem

eh... I kind of have the same problem

Earth - not enough damage, ugly animations
    Mind - No pet
Ice - I've never liked ice until I rolled an ice/thermal, doesnt have enough damage
Illusion - recharges take FOREVER, not a whole lot of control

Gravity, Fire, Plant and most recently Ice are the main primaries I can play...

Trick Arrow- I dont really like the idea of shooting an infinite amount of arrows at my enemy
Force Field - boring, but I tolerate it
Empathy - would prefer to focus on controls instead of healing
Sonic - seems to be solely a team based secondary, I would prefer a set that affected myself more-so than my teammates

Kinetics, Radiation, Storm and Thermal are my top choices.

Everyone has their own personal tastes

    Cabal/witch hat

    Just wondering:

Is the cabal/witch hat from the Katie Hannon TF also available for villains?

I'm really depressed and can't find anywhere that says you can get it on vills.

What people think of as the minimum varies. For example, 67.50 won't be sufficient if you start getting a bit of lag, or if you happen to zone just as it's about to come up, or if you happen to activate a power just as it's about to come up.

    [/ QUOTE ]

hehe, I understand that the minimum for each person will vary... I mainly was trying to figure what the absolute lowest percentage needed in order to keep it up for some time was... I'm pretty sure I won't be able to keep it up in missions or anything of the sort
  6. hey guys!!!

Recently getting my fire/psi dom to 50 and obtaining 150mill, I decided it was time to IO. So all of today, I've been IO'ing out my new character and after a while, I completely ran out of money, leaving me with only 67.50% global recharge.

I was hoping to aim for 70-ish percent, but was unable to (for today), and so I was toying around to see if I could perhaps still obtain permadom with my low recharge rate

And surprisingly, I was able to. With 67.50% global recharge, three-slotted hasten with all recharge reduction IOs, I somehow managed to obtain permadom and keep it for about 30+ minutes.

Now, I believe that 67.50% is the minimum because as I was testing it out, my domination was starting to reset at zero JUST as domination was click-able.

I don't know if this information has been discovered before... but I thought I would share it with the forums

You can use Transfusion on your opponent whenever you get low on endurance...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I think you mean Transference??? (Transfusion is the heal...)

Anyways, one main problem with that theory is if your opponent likes to jump around, you wont necessarily be able to use it to replenish your endurance

I mainly use it as an end drain instead of an end gain on my /kin, however, if you are lucky, you will be able to get some end out of it if you manage to be in range
  8. char needs Unbreakable constraint, switch the numina's with touch of the nictus, put gravitational anchor in fire cages - its one of the cheapest purples out there, hot feet needs armageddon or at least obliteration - you want damage in hot feet not slows, siphon speed needs one accuracy and two recharge reductions, cinders needs basiliks gaze, you dont really need speed boost if your main purpose is farming, put another slot in health and add the miracle unique, stamina does not needs six slots - only one with Performance shifter's unique, fire imps does not need Soulbound - put an expedient reinforcement or call to arms in it, transference needs the last efficacy adaptor, replace two of the recharge reducs in fulcrum shift with two accuracy, take the unique out of fire ball, you dont really need consume...

here's my build for my fire/kin, hope it helps:

  9. Heh, I know this is going to sound stereotypical, but honestly, my favorite character so far is my fire/kin

She's able to do tons amounts of damage (for a controller at least), and the build that I finally decide on allows to her to PvE excellently and do great in PvP (it's a little iffy though because there are some powers that are useless in PvP... like fulcrum shift, except for going up against MMs)
So she's able to PvE, PvP and farm all on one build
(Being able to beat up thousands of enemies within a couple of seconds also appeals to me, especially on a non-damage based toon)

Another favorite of mine is my plant/storm
for some reason, I could never find a good combination for either plant/ or /storm... and so I decided "What the hell?" and rolled it... it's INCREDIBLY fun!!! Roots + Seeds of Confusion + Freezing Rain = ZOMG
My plant/storm is only around... 26ish right now, but it'll definitely be my next 50

And if you have recipes memorized you can turn some of the salvage into common IOs people are paying nutty amounts on.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I know this is off topic, but:

How exactly do you memorize IOs???

I've seen people with it before, but I have no idea how to get it...

EDIT: Never mind, looked on paragonwiki and figured it out

Then do a few TFs and buy it with merits, it's only a little over 2 Dr Qs

eh, don't really have the time for it... well, as of right now

hopefully, I'll be able to play meh game, soon, none stop for 10 hours a day for the rest of summer

The point that everyone is trying to make is you don't need to spend 10 hours a day playing to profit from the market. You can do it on around 30 mintues, or less, a day. I have a level 25 brute that is sitting on 600+ million, all made from crafting and selling common IOs. I run about 4 missions a month with him; just enough to cover base rent.

    um....
ya.. I, pretty much understand that I do not have to play the game for 10 hours straight in order to become rich
What I was saying was that summers coming, school will be out, and I'll have more time to play, enabling me to do TFs more frequently, rewarding me with merits and thus buying the expensive crap with merits...

... I wasn't saying that it takes 10 hours a day to make a profit
I'm completely aware of the fact that in only a few minutes, you can be earning loads...

  13. On infinity, one of the toughest characters I've run across was a Ninja/Dark MM

    Aquarius-

Beaten the crap out of me several times... even without his pets
  14. Because his global recharge is around 130%

Having that much recharge time enables him to have permadom without the need of hasten, so he can remove the slots out of hasten (if he wants to) and put them into other powers and get more set bonuses

    It was just an idea

I'm pretty sure that hasten will also be perma, so there's really no need in having it recharge even faster...
  15. Oh, sorry, I always skip over the link

Very nice build, one thing I might suggest is to take two of the slots in hasten and add them somewhere else... maybe put one in Hot Feet and another in Soul Drain, replace Obliteration with Gaussian's to bump up your defenses a little bit more... just an idea.

    This, or an Ice/Thermal

eh... well, primary doesn't really matter. I think /thermal would be a great addition to the team though:
Heals, Shields, Buffs, and some good debuffs later on

Personally i'd like to see the possible pistol set givin to brutes, scrappers, tanks, stalkers it'd ae cool to see a melee/range set.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    ...

    Pistols are a ranged attack...

Brutes, Scrappers, Tanks and Stalkers... are all, um... melee....

I HIGHLY doubt that melee toons will be given ranged attacks

Yes, I understand that there are some exceptions, such as Hurl in Super Strength, but having a melee toon wield a ranged weapon... seems kind of silly....

If it's a sword with a pistol, I might be able to accept that... but it still seems wierd

Overall, if anybody were to be given pistols, it would most likely be Blasters, Corruptors and maybe Defenders...
Dominators... it would be possible, I wouldn't count on it though...
  20. Tolso

    WHY?!

After obtaining enough money to IO out my toon, I went through and bought most of my IOs I needed, however, I left out a few IO sets, simply because I'm lazy like that.

Having to buy all of my salvage, I've noticed that Chronal Skip has sky-rocketed from around 500k to 1mill... it's doubled within the past few DAYS (maybe a week)

Please don't tell me that the days of Hamidon Goo Costing around 6mill are coming back again
  21. Tolso

    help!

I think this should be posted somewhere else... though it is relevant to PvP, I believe the people in the tanker forums will be a little bit more helpful
  22. could you perhaps post the data chunk?

I'm psyched to be able to switch my villains to the hero side. Brutes and Masterminds are da bomb. Now they'll be bombing in PvP zones for the hero side. That should even things up a bit over there.

    [/ QUOTE ]

yes, while my fire/kin goes to the villain side to kill all the stupid heroes that keep ganking everybody and to help out the poor, innocent villains they're beating up

might reduce how many stalkers kill me as well...
  24. I'd like to go, but I highly doubt I'll be able to make it

    Hope it turns out well

    P.S.
    HI TRANCE!
  25. Tolso

    stupid question

I prefer the term "mission" instead of "quest" (simply because of my dislike of WoW...)

anyways, if you look under your contacts, that should give you a hint as to where to go, and just like Shark said, head to Kings Row

Once you've out-leveled Kings Row and are uncertain of where to go to next, simply ask in broadcast, if you get no response, head to Atlas Park and ask again, many people like to lounge around there, so you'll be certain to get an answer
