People who you've never talked to before who call you mate immediately.
[/ QUOTE ]
You must hate Aussies then... G'day mate!
[/ QUOTE ]
As I posted above, I generally just hate people, and that is regardless of nationality, creed, religion, race etc. I'm fairly equal with my hatred.
Of course Australians are to blame for that darn Australian Questioning Intonation currently pervading British youths. Yeah, that annoys me too. I'm just a bitter old man.

Hehe - You must be from the counselling school of 'Unconditional Negative Regard'
And I work as a secretary so my spelling has to be top notch all day and have to spell things like hyperlipidaemia and hypogonadism so i give up caring when tpying messages in game and on the fourms! -

In my fan fiction (which is in my head at the moment) a lot of my toons live in the same place as they work for the same government agency.
Black Karhu - He lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall but has a home in his native Finland (a few miles outside Helsinki). He has travelled the world though so is happy to settle anywhere
Tired Angel - He lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall, he has no other home. He originally lived the life of a real angel but was banished after disobeying divine orders.
Tristar Phoenix - He lived in a small apartment in a run down area of Kings Row but had a short stay in the facility in Atlas before he died saving the city. Once he returned in the unwritten Praetorian earth saga of my fan fiction he moved in with the Warshade Omega Sentry in Steel Canyon
Shadow Mercury - His last known address was in Talos Island but that has been deserted and he now has a secret base underneath Boomtown
Baby Bam - She lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall, although her parents live in San Fran
Bane Wolf - He lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall although he technically owns his deceased parents home which is a few miles outside of Paragon City. He grew up in a woodland area further outside of Paragon city and is known to return there every so often
Charlie Bright - He lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall, he has no other home. For a long time he had no fixed abode as he was a hired gun and lived out of hotels.
Omega Sentry - She used to live in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall but moved back to Steel Canyon with her child and Tristar Phoenix
Greg Wise - He lives primarily in London, England, but does stay occasionally in the government facility in Atlas
Veiled Moon - She lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall. She is banished from her family home in her home dimension. She has been known to go to Croata(sp?) but it is unknown what she does there.
Rendraka - He lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall, although he has been known to stay with his parents in Galaxy
Human V2.1 - He lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall, he has no other home. Well he is an android
Techno Titan X - He lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall, although it is rumoured he has a secret base located somewhere in Independence Port. Before this he lived with his parents and then in university dorms.
Cyber Control Droid - She lives in a secret government facility underneath Atlas City Hall, although she does have an appartment in New York which she bought before joining the Army. She spent a long time travelling the world while enlisted in the army.
Plutonia Wood - She has a room in the government facility under Atlas and with her parents in Galaxy but is currently in a secure mental facility after after being tortured and used as a human battery by Dr Hooked -
Dont have an account and wouldn't want to move. I like the EU servers. There could be more people about sure - but I think maybe if they did an ad campaign that would help.
Im in a great SG and have so many alts ive lost count! -

Despite debt being somewhat inconsiquential I've still seen more than a few PUG's split because of a couple of doses of it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Im not sure that may always be over dept, Ive left a team or two before because Ive constantly faceplanted at each and every mob. The reason I left was not because of the dept i was receiving, it was because the team kept insisting that we carry on going even though the entire team was wiped at every mob. I like a challenge but after a while it just became annoying!
And I agree with people that dept isn't necessarily the best way to slow lvling because it just doesnt have an impact. I know with my PB the other day I was doing the first taylor mission to beat 30 outcasts and I faceplanted all the time because a lot of them around there were either very high lvl (reds and purples) or the mobs were quite big. I hit max dept very quickly but had cleared it by the time I had finished a mission.
I think the best way to slow lvling is to have an option where there is an option to receive less exp and gain slightly more influence. The default would be off, but it would be useful for people who want to lvl slower and those who want to earn a bit more influence. -
I have a couple of QoL suggestions for the Faultline zone.
The Faultline story arcs are some of my fav to play but always find the zone a pain in the whatsit to travel accross because all the later story arcs are based right down at the bottom of the map. Getting out of the zone isn't so much of a problem if you have the pocket D teleport but your level may still be a little to low to use the Orbourous portal. And when you come back into the zone you are right at the top again. Could you possibly make a second Pocket D opening at the barrier between the north and south side of the zone?
Also for the missions where you have to enter the Arachnos tunnels could you place a map marker at the opening because even though ive done the story arc twice I still have difficulty finding it because it is on the other side of the map to where the mission marker is. -
Could you please change the animation of the Obsidian Shield power in the Dark Armor power set. Ive just taken the power on my Dark/Dark scrapper and think the halo like purple rings coming out my head really ugly and not fitting with the power set.
Either that or can i echo previous suggestions to make the animations on buffs optional. -
Black Karhu, lvl 50, Fire/Fire/Fire tank
Baby Bam, lvl 6, Inv/Mace tank
Both on Defiant -

My original thought was that this was a personal based accolade, needing to be earned on each character.
I *much* prefer the idea ( or pre-conception ) that it is earned by people in SG mode contributing to a SG-Wide accolade
I'll see if I can work out a definitive list of what would be required that strikes the right balance between difficulty and reward.

You could make it a mixture of both. The SG as a whole must have defeated all the arcane/tech AVs and defeated X number of arcane/tech baddies. This means you can set the number really high and have a diverse number of baddies.
But then for the double prestige to kick the individual member must have certain exploration badges, mission badges etc.
Just an idea what do you think? -
[ QUOTE ]
Loving this idea Valkryst but what about my own personal favourite - Nemesis? They could spawn from the underground moles that appear in some of the missions and a badge awarded for taking out the mole. If thats possible from a game point of view. I would have thought that drilling moles coming up from the ground would be harder to do than drop ships but it does keep in with the whole Nemesis theme.
[/ QUOTE ]
As long as there are Fake Nemesises as it would make getting the badge for killing 100 of them a lot easier!
And remember - its always a Nemesis plot! -
"Shivans could emerge around meteorites that fall from the sky (like Rikti bombs) and crack open on impact"
This could well start to happen as in the initial orbourous arc a shivian meteorite has crashed in Atlas -
Ahhh! That explains it PRA!
Thank you - I didn't know that. Ive run the ITF but never actually read the text. -

To my understanding they have been completely wiped out by the Council
[/ QUOTE ]
No, they haven't.
[ QUOTE ]
there appearance in the game now is due to time travel into the past (I wont say anything more!)
[/ QUOTE ]
How far into the past are you thinking of here? Maybe you need to tavel back a bit further?
[/ QUOTE ]
I didn't realise they were still about in present day CoH, thats my mistake
And how far back am I thinking? As far back as ancient rome and the imperius task force as well more recent past with one of the Orbourous task forces.
And thinking about it if 5th Column is still about and they are making a comeback then why not introduce it as a war between them and the council. Still have the zepplin idea (as thats cool) but the warnings could be:
"Council and 5ht Column fighting in Atlas, Heroes report to keep the peace"
You could have council spawning out of doorways (ie their bases) and have 5th Column parachuting down.
It would be a good way to re-introduce them into the game as well.
As for Melee fighting the zepplin, if the jet packs dont run out until after the threat has finished and the zeplins are moving slowly then it shouldn't be a problem. -
My only comment is why 5th Column? To my understanding they have been completely wiped out by the Council and there appearance in the game now is due to time travel into the past (I wont say anything more!)
I like idea of the blimp/zeplin with troops parachuting off it though. Although for non-flying toons, instead of giving them a temp power that essentially just allows you to spam it with rockets why not just give out a raptor pack that lasts up to 2mins after the invasion has finished. So people can fly up to it themselves and have plenty of time to land after the invasion has finished. -

Love it. It's something of a more complex version of the systems used in other games where a mob drop spawns a quest/mission.
It could have almost enumerable potential sources of this salvage. What about random glowies on missions or in the street which drop a clue and then vanish. Static clickies in some places, similar to those 'secret' clickies in the Midnighter Clubs which give out a random clue every so often, like a slot machine.
[/ QUOTE ]
The whole random glowie thing has already started to make a slight appearance in the Orbourous story arcs but they haven't followed this up, but I agree and glowies would be a good way to do this as well.
They could change the first contacts to say, "go out and make a name for yourself see what you can find" -

My fav silly name is one I use on Defiant and thats
'cAptai nTyop' - a psychic/psychic dominator who was an english professor gone mad after correcting to many typos in essays
But Ive got a silly one Ive come up with if people want to use it:
- Bob the Baddy (most likely a mastmind!) -
Send us a tell if you are about Ramon_Dark and still want to do this, I will try to be free around 8.30 just in case

When I first starting playing and rolled my Fire/Fire tank I didn't take Taunt. Honestly because I was a little naive, I solo'd a lot, I didnt quite understand its use. However, later on I respec'd it in and found that when in teams I would I was more flexible.
I like to jump into a big mob, with blazing aura on, use fire sword circle, then taunt and pick up a lot of aggro quite quickly.
However, it really depends on who you team with. If you are on a team with all blasters/scrappers then you don't need to told aggro for that long (in my experience) so I find myself using taunt less. However if I am on teams with less raw firepower I find myself using it more.
And with EBs and AVs I find my role is to hold onto the agro while everyone else hits them for significant damage. So I find Taunt, along with my healing flames, invaluable for doing this. -
Hiya, newish to the boards (but not to the game) and would love to have a go at this. Not done this task force before.
Its Black Karhu, Fire/Fire tank
