As I spend my morning looking at my updater trying and failing to connect I was wondering why this old problem seems to be rearing its ugly head again. I've tried using the links to support, but they only seem to go directly to a generic homepage. i've tried bypassing the updater but that means I get into the game and look at all the wrong models, e.g. the vanguard target dummies become redcaps and Lvl 54 vazhilok reapers hang around with names like 'Vanguard Entity) or 'Vault Entity' ...it also means that Neuron and Nerva Spectres replace many of Nemesis troops.

Would appreciate any help here, though I'll have to try any solutions after work.

Using my ws 'shadow step' power to tp a hellion past the drones and under the atlas statue. Using inky aspect to keep him nicely docile. /em grief over his lifeless body after he's been 1 shotted by a passing hero. Then using Dark Extraction so that he can LIVE AGAIN!....briefly.

Had this happen last night...fixed it....now it's happened again...eu server reset not worked for me anyway.

aaaaand here are some comments about the comments you made

• Updated graphics:- not too bothered about them at the moment, my aging system can just about handle the 'recommended' settings as long as I stay out of Grandville. Rather more interested in the fact that the old graphics will be available after GR launches. Still bound to upgrade sooner or later and will b e looking forward to how good the game can really look.

• Updated AI? Sure would be nice but in truth I can't see it happening beyond a bit of tweaking here and there.

• Marketing, ahh the favourite whipping boy of the forumites . Just to play Devil's Advocate here I think it's worth pointing out that Marketing probably utilize their budget as effectively as they can. A limited budget means limited advertizing. The problem with a big tv campaign is that it is extremely expensive and would it automatically be effective? I'm no business bod but a bit of arithmatic tells me that a $1,000,000 ad campaign would need to bring in around 5,250 subscribers at $15.99 a month for a year in order recoup the investment. In real terms the subs would be reduced by administration charges, corporation tax etc. So NCSoft if they control the purse strings would have to be pretty convinced of the effectiveness of an ad campaign, whatever form it took, before they invested in it.

• Going Rogue info? Agreed probably not enough but then I'd have to say that even if there was 5 times the amount it wouldn't be enough .

• MkII invasions as far as Union server was concerned consisted (iirc) of Niviene, Avatea and TheOcho spawning Mothership mobs in the region of the Founders Falls vanguard DPO including a few Master-at-Arms. There was also something similar redside. Participants got the yellow title 'Paragon Defender'

I was so lucky to expierience this, just logged in between multiple 'Dad's Taxi' sessions and ran into this with my main. Got defeated a couple of times but gave out better than I got. Fortunately my storm / electric defender could activate the pseudo pets when the frame rate dropped dramatically. Still cool yellow title and i got to wave at Niviene.

Gonna try this with my broadsword / regen scrapper..Chastity Girl. Let's see if the Hamidon can stand up to her 'Power of Purity!'

Another thing about Ourobouros that I didn't know until comparitively recently. If you touch the ring (ooooer) around the big crystal in the main ourobouros building, whilst on a flashback you'll get tp'd to your contact. Saves a lot of running around in the early stages of a flashback when you are unable to call your contact.
